It's a great place to get ice-cream on a hot day. It's better than coffee evolution at around the same price . I really like the crumble and straciatella ice cream flavours.

Really disappointing. I made a reservation and selected the wrong date online. I called the restaurant to say I’d cancelled it and tried to rearrange the reservation for the following week. I was still charged a £10 cancellation fee and they were unable to refund the cancellation fee and change the booking date.

Great pizza and lovely staff! Would 100% recommend if you are in the area. The Spicy Nduja & Chilli pizza is incredible. Best pizza in the area by a mile! 🍕

We arrived at this bar expecting nothing and we discovered everything, the hosts were the best thing since sliced bread, a real family atmosphere that can never be replicated. The joy that this bar brings to your heart will never be repeated. Please Music, you want it you got it, nothing is too much trouble, extremely well stocked bar, real ales etc and plenty of top shelf action and fun and laughter. Will definitely be visiting on a weekly basis.

As this visit to la dolce vita was in November 2024 ! It was time to add this review to one of the best restaurants I visit Through out the years.. As this is very late to add and now the restaurant is shut for good, this is To pay homage to brilliant food here.. First off was the regular canapés of Cannelloni & Croustade.. They are always a pleasure to eat over the year's.. Next was this brilliant butternut Squash dish ! The look and flavours of this was something I never thought work together well ! But it surely did. Next was another Beautiful looking plate... Cured Sea Bream, Pear & N’duja!! I know N’duja can be hot, but the balance was spot-on with this ! Plus the Pear sorbet help calm the heat down as well.. Next was the juicy, fat, chunky piece of Halibut! Cooking on the Fish was exceptional, and with a lip licking sauce to go with it! Top marks of the cook on that.. Then the regular showing of the la dolce vita ravioli ! Always in some sort of different form ! But Always a blessing to eat. And another regular staple of the Frozen Foie & Sweetcorn!! When ever this has been on the menu, I've got to get in my belly.. And this was the very last timeki had this. Next was the duck dish!! Just something about the duck at la dolce vita! It's cooked to perfection and top Quality meat.. Then we move over to the sexy dessert section 😋.. Now I just live figs as I got 2 fig trees. And find it hard what to do with them! But la dolce vita finds a way to make them into brilliant desserts. As you can tell I enjoyed this.. Chocolate & blackberry! Yes both things that work ever so well!! And it was a great way to finish off that taster menu... Then tine to relax with a coffee and a very fine Selection of petit Fours... Yet again a brilliant experience of food...

We went to Bella Napoli to celebrate my cousin’s 40th and, as usual, had an enjoyable evening. The food here is very reasonably priced, and while the quality is generally good, there are a few things to keep in mind. If you're ordering a pasta dish, I'd recommend asking for it to be made creamy, as they can be a bit light-handed with the sauce. There was a bit of a hiccup with my cousin’s pizza—the Bella Italian came out looking underwhelming, with barely any mozzarella on it. Thankfully, the service was excellent; the staff replaced it quickly with a vegetarian pizza at no extra charge, which was much better. The rest of our meals were delicious. I had a pizza that was perfectly cooked with great flavor, and my wife had the mushroom tagliatelle. We shared both, and the tagliatelle especially was rich and tasty. We've been to Bella Napoli many times before and, despite the occasional minor flaw, we’ll definitely keep coming back. The great service and consistently enjoyable food keep us loyal.

Our server Jack was outstanding. Taking care of us especially our granddaughter, so much so that we ate at ask Italian the following day too! Food was lovely. All staff were polite, helpful and very professional. Paying very good attention to little ones and also one of our group with a nut allergy. Excellent. Would recommend and will go again next time we visit Shrewsbury.

We first visited this restaurant in 2016 and have enjoyed every meal thereafter. Staff are attentive, great tasting food and the lunch menu is fantastic value and a sizeable portion for lunch. 10/10

Lovely building, menu and reviews were good but not our experience. Meal was lukewarm and small portion, side dish didn't arrive till too late. Both M/F toilets either didn't have paper or were out of order.

Not the sort of language you expect on a review and most certainly not the language I expect from self confessed hungover bar staff as they fall in for their shift at midday, I would have been inclined to let the first f*** go as it was obvious the member of staff didn't realise there was a family with 2 children in the room and although not directed at us there was at least a moment of realisation and apology. HOWEVER, 2 s***s and a sciatica related f*** later and we were speechless. There is obviously a staff shortage as one of the rants was related to having to complete split shifts as the manager isn't willing to just pick one CV from the 20 he has and employ them on the spot with no interview or trial, I can only imagine that's how this particular member of staff got their job. James, you could try the barmans mate, apparently she is as keen as mustard, I would rather run a customer facing business short of staff than have customers endure this sort of behaviour. I won't name names but I'm sure James the manager can line up the sciatica comment or maybe even DNA test the lip stick marks on the window from the night before that they were so proud of, referring to them selves as a bunch of 'window lickers', appalling! I have a feeling this review may even be a badge of honour.
