We were staying in an Airbnb properly for a few days and Gelatistry was just a few strides away. We went there every day, yes, it's that good. But the queues were long especially after the nearby schools break up for the day. Some most unusual flavours alongside the more common ones. My husband had fig and something one day - wouldn't have been my choice but I'm boring!

It's a great place to get ice-cream on a hot day. It's better than coffee evolution at around the same price . I really like the crumble and straciatella ice cream flavours.

The best ice cream I have tasted in UK. Took me 25 and odd years to taste something the real Italian gelato (if not even better). Unfortunately limited choice of flavours for my likening but what we tasted was all amazing. Brits please don't stick to vanilla, chocolate and raspberry. Push your boats. The orange and saffron was delicious. Home made cones is an extra bonus too. Well done. Or should I say: Bravi, mamma mia!

Managed to miss this place as we walked along tge riverside, if we had known it was only 50 yards from where we past we could have visited it on the way round as well as back. There was quite a queue outside and once we started to eat our ice creams it became evident why. They have around half a dozen different flavours on the go with various different options tubs/cones half's, singles , doubles etc. Best icecream I've tasted and on a hot day absolutely perfect. If you are doing the riverside walk mark it off on your map and take a quick side step you will not be dissapointed

The gelato here is wonderful! We love visiting as a family, the staff are always lovely and the added extras like the runny chocolate in your cone is amazing! My only plea is please do more vegan options. I am dairy and chocolate intolerant but i do still love icecream!

We love Gelatistry, it is the only place to go to for amazing Artisan gelato. Gaia and her team are very friendly and the smell of the freshly made cones is so inviting. Looking forward to our next visit xx

The staff were so friendly and welcoming! We were given a recommendation from our Air b&b host to come here and we're so glad we did! They make their own waffle cones and the gelato was beautiful and creaky! Was worth visiting even in this weather!! Definitely recommend!

As this visit to la dolce vita was in November 2024 ! It was time to add this review to one of the best restaurants I visit Through out the years.. As this is very late to add and now the restaurant is shut for good, this is To pay homage to brilliant food here.. First off was the regular canapés of Cannelloni & Croustade.. They are always a pleasure to eat over the year's.. Next was this brilliant butternut Squash dish ! The look and flavours of this was something I never thought work together well ! But it surely did. Next was another Beautiful looking plate... Cured Sea Bream, Pear & N’duja!! I know N’duja can be hot, but the balance was spot-on with this ! Plus the Pear sorbet help calm the heat down as well.. Next was the juicy, fat, chunky piece of Halibut! Cooking on the Fish was exceptional, and with a lip licking sauce to go with it! Top marks of the cook on that.. Then the regular showing of the la dolce vita ravioli ! Always in some sort of different form ! But Always a blessing to eat. And another regular staple of the Frozen Foie & Sweetcorn!! When ever this has been on the menu, I've got to get in my belly.. And this was the very last timeki had this. Next was the duck dish!! Just something about the duck at la dolce vita! It's cooked to perfection and top Quality meat.. Then we move over to the sexy dessert section 😋.. Now I just live figs as I got 2 fig trees. And find it hard what to do with them! But la dolce vita finds a way to make them into brilliant desserts. As you can tell I enjoyed this.. Chocolate & blackberry! Yes both things that work ever so well!! And it was a great way to finish off that taster menu... Then tine to relax with a coffee and a very fine Selection of petit Fours... Yet again a brilliant experience of food...
