The best restaurants serving Italian food in Poole South West

Had salted caramel and it did no disappoint, nice cone and service, great gelato five stars on all accounts, no debate whatsoever

Food amazing, staff attentive but not over the top, check backs done after every course. Approximately 8 tables you will need to book, we went Friday night and they had to turn people away. A hidden jewel

We were passing and liked the look of this lovely little pizzeria. Really friendly and great pizza - especially the vegan option. Tasted lots of vegan pizzas but this was the best!

Very cosy to sit inside gazebo. Smells like bbq when you enter mm love it. Enjoyed english breakfast and cheeseburger was good too. Would love to try some more of the rest of the menu though.

The BEST wedding venue in Dorset hands down! We could not have wished for a better day, the organisation, layout, timings, attention and care from everyone was impeccable. Nothing was too much, communication was second to none and it actually turned out more glorious than we thought even though our expectations were already incredibly high. We are over the moon! Don’t give it a second thought

We went here on Valentine’s Day staff were great and could not do enough for us and the food was excellent. We will definitely be going back

Good option on busy evenings, great pizza and delicious pasta. Good cocktail list. Not the most welcoming of walk-ins later in the evening.

Quaint Italian cafe, great italian Patisserie, good selection to choose from. The Tiramisu is to die for. They have a Meatball Pot for £4.00, however it was not a pot but a decent size pasta bowl. Very tasty too. We also had a Caramel iced latte, absolutely delicious. We visited this place twice and will be going back again 😊 and very friendly staff x

We have eaten here a few times over the years when visiting relatives in the area. They are now about to move and from previous experience, we chose La Lupa to have one of our last meals in Poole. While the advertised opening hours were quite late, like many restaurants these days La Lupa would appear to have taken most of their covers earlier, and we arrived as most people were finishing their meals. We hadn't booked, but we were warmly welcomed and our lovely waiter cheerfully took our order. Although we only had a main course, we were the last to leave. While we were finishing our food the staff were sitting chatting at a table in the restaurant. In no way did we feel under pressure to pay and go so they could close for the night. My husband and I both chose from the Classic Menu - Risotto con funghi and Risotto con gamberi e zucchine and our meals were cooked to perfection. I often think that with food of this nature the amount in the bowl isn't going to sate my appetite, but this was definitely not the case at La Lupa. Both meals were plentiful and tasty. Thoroughly recommended and probably advisable to book.

Came here yesterday evening to celebrate my partners birthday. The food was absolutely excellent and service top notch. This really is a bit of a hidden gem along Poole Quay. Our waitresses couldn’t have done enough for us. Thank you for making our night so enjoyable!

Great service and lovely food, and for a Monday night it was quite busy, which is great for them! At first the menu came across a bit confusing as it blended a lot of dishes from different cuisines, however the food was lovely and comforting. The shining star was the service, she was friendly and pro-active in attending to the customers needs. Thank you for a lovely meal.

We visited La Lupa tonight as a family of three for some pizza, and we absolutely loved it! From start to finish, the service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The pizzas were delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and cooked to perfection. What really made the experience extra special were the thoughtful little touches—high-quality branded mixers with our drinks and a complimentary amaretto shot at the end of the meal, which was a lovely surprise. It’s clear that La Lupa goes the extra mile to create a warm and authentic Italian dining experience. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Started with a cold beer. Refreshing. They made me a pepperoni pizza even though it wasn't on the menu . Very tasty. Finished with a flat white coffee. Excellent . Recommended.
