My 8yr old son loved making his own pizza he was offered plenty of toppings and said it was the best pizza he's had, probably because he made it haha. Only knocked off a star as there was only one or 2 vegan/plant based options. I had the plant based meatballs and spaghetti ยฃ13.50 which turned out to be Richmond plant based sausages made in to meatballs, tomato sauce and spaghetti bit disappointing but it's something at least better than chips ha.

La scala was an all around great experience! They had plenty of gluten free options & everything was delicious! The staff was friendly & although they were busy, they spent time at your table, making you feel that you were the most important! Thank you for a great meal ! Best food since we arrived in the UK

Used to go years ago when it was Fallen Angels but only been a couple of times since it's been Cenetta. I love the decor, it's cozy & feels like eating in a wine cellar but my husband hates it and says it's like a seedy basement! I had calamari which was a huge portion, cooked beautifully but I had to ask for some garlic mayo as it just had a lemon wedge! My friend had mussels which she enjoyed (creamy sauce which I'm not keen on). I had duck with pancetta, cherry & walnut (perfectly cooked, very tender) with a fondant potato which was OK (bit floury rather than waxy). My friend had tagliatelle topped with a salmon steak, again creamy sauce. She said it was very salty in patches & I tried 2 small flakes of the salmon & one was fine, one was very salty - nice though. We had a lush bottle of Primitivo, no room for pud but they looked nice. ยฃ50 each including 10%+ tip. The thing that really put me off was the staff banged the back of my chair every time they went past (and it wasn't a squeeze either) and as we were right in the middle opposite the kitchen pass it was upwards of 10 times. I should have said something after the 2nd time but it was 4 different staff members doing it.

I came here for lunch as spending a few hours in Littleborough before heading home to Preston on the train. A beautiful spring day, short walk through the park. Staff very friendly and welcoming, cafe very spacious. I enjoyed a pot of tea, and a proper homemade cheese and onion pie, chips were great, pie really tasty. It was quite busy with people coming and going, but wasnt rushed, and able to enjoy relaxing and just taking some time out.Had a nice chat with some local ladies.I will gladly visit again when in the area

We arrived for our table 5 minutes late, which I apologised for. We were offered to sit in the bar (which we often do) and have a drink or go to the table. We chose the table and were given menus. Time was ticking and no one had been to take any order. 15 minutes later my husband had to get up flag a waitress and ask could we order drinks. Another 20 minutes goes by and the drinks finally arrive. The red wine arrived with it all over the glass stem and one drink was wrong. Still no order taken for food. At this point 35 minutes after sitting down and as no waiter had even acknowledged us we decided to leave. Awful service

Visiting family in the area and came here on my son's recommendation. We weren't disappointed beautiful surroundings inside and amazing views outside. I ordered Vegetarian Lasagne and my husband a Pizza. Friendly staff especially the older waiter who wears glasses I would recommend this restaurant and the locals are very lucky to have this restaurant on their doorstep. 5 stars from me
