Luis was absolutely fantastic. My partner called him in advance to book a table to suit his personal needs. Luis offered us a few different options and was so kind and understanding. I can’t praise him enough. The hospitality was extended by his colleague Daisy who was also lovely and catered to all our needs. Recommend an Ameretto Sour :p

We visited on 25.02.2025 at 5:30pm-7pm and were served by a lovely red head woman, sorry I didn’t get her name. Just wanted to write a review to say she was absolutely fantastic. So friendly and attentive. There were 7 of us and she made sure we were all topped up with drinks and that we were happy with all of our food and kept checking in on us - she went above and beyond with customer service. We had a little one with us and she was so kind and great with her. Thanks so much again! Sorry I didn’t get your name! Hope the feedback can be passed on :)

My sister and I visited the Villa Romana today. What a wonderful experience - the decor, the ambience, the welcoming staff (nothing was too much trouble). Finally the food was delicious. We had the mushroom bruschetta as a starter and the hake for the main course. It was a busy service and we did not have to wait. Both courses were servd efficiently and timely. We will definitely be returning and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I popped in mid-afternoon hoping for a coffee, cake and a glass of wine - managed to get two of the three. Although it's a café, it's definitely more wine focused. Service was quite slow and it wasn't even that busy. The cake / pastry choice was almost non-existent, so I opted for a selection of breads with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The focaccia was stupendous and highly recommended. I didn't eat anything else so can't comment on other food. The wine I chose was okay but nothing outstanding. Ultimately it is a 'wine café' so more about managing my own expectations.

I came on a quiet weekday afternoon. Staff were friendly however the hot chocolate was a let down, marshmallows tasted stale and the hot chocolate tasted like hot milk. I got a breakfast which I enjoyed and I will give this place a second chance and try their sweet options as I’m hoping this was an off day

Really bad experience - waitress was so rude, judgemental and dismissive, immediately made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. My food was oddly oily which was off putting and led to it not even being eaten. The toilets weren’t stocked on either side of the restaurant. Usually a good place to go but likely won’t return after this time.

Firstly, the decor and styling of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, so quaint and cosy. Following Christmas it was just a perfect setting. You really get a feel for the owners passion. Food - the bruschetta was fantastic, delicious tomatoes seasoned to perfection and great bread. The seafood ravioli with lobster bisque was very good maybe could have had a little more punch of flavour for me, my boyfriend had tortelloni with wild hare, cacao and hazelnut which he didn’t overly enjoy. I really appreciate the unique dishes and use of different ingredients but I think it would be really good to have a few of the more basic Italian pasta dishes because sometimes that’s the most satisfying and hearty. The raspberry sorbet we had in between courses was great, sour cherry and ricotta cannoli amazing, biscuit at the end with a coffee was also amazing. Service was very attentive. Prices on the slightly more expensive side but for the quality, this is fine. Really enjoyed our lunch here, wonderful experience overall. A great choice for a special occasion and group I think if there was some more basic Italian dishes available appealing to everyone too.
