Unbelievably good home made food.

A menu with no prices should have been our sign to leave. We ordered the lamb and couscous assuming the portions were listed as per person, and getting no aide in changing our choice. After waiting for almost 1,5 hours, two massive plates of food arrived. The food was alright. When we were finished we were asked to pay 46 pounds. After explaining to the man that he needs to tell people that they should share plates he told us that we ordered two, and therefore got two. The ambience was also really not nice, bright fluorescent lights and a constant ringing noise.

Delicious and authenic fresh food cooked from scratch, they even bake the bread. Family run restaurant, hands down my fav place to eat

Very good Moroccan traditional food. But this is not enough as there are many issues in the restaurant starting by the absence of prices and menu. The customer is left uncertain and uncomfortable about the price. You need to pay for the bread as well and it is expensive

Creamy chicken pasta tastes amazing

I traveled to Saudi Arabia and returned to Manchester, and the first restaurant I went to was Red Marrakesh One of the most delicious restaurants I visited in Manchester. Delicious, delicious.. A husband and his wife are working on this small restaurant where they serve delicious Moroccan dishes. It is true that it takes a long time to prepare, but it is worth it because it is really clean work and the cooking is in front of your eyes..

Great food. Never disappoints. Everything is made fresh. Same owners. Same style cooking. Definitely worth trying. The pasta is 10/10

Small food wonderland. This small restaurant took us by surprise when it came to the best authentic morroco food. Believe me, you find this tasty food even in Marrakech. We ordered lamb and chicken tagine . Both I would say 10/10. But my favourite is lamb tagine. Freshly baked bread in the house is extraordinarily delicious.

This is a wonderful hidden gem. Such amazing quality food, traditionally cooked using all fresh ingredients and made to order. Definitely not fast food as you can see the Chef chopping vegetables for each dish and with such care. I had the homemade calamari and a Chicken Tagine with vegetables, the aroma was superb and a joy to see the end result which is why I made the video of the Tagine. Trained in Moroccan and Italian styles, Noor presented the starter calamari with salad, dressed with simply olive oil, lemon and a hint os sea salt. The tagine was superb, it can be accompanied with rice or couscous and freshly made flat breads, all done in house and to order. 100% recommended Clive of Manchester This place just gets better 🙏🏼

True definition of a local hidden gem in Old Trafford which has been around many years now. You won't find this on Instagram with a flower wall and lame cringe neon signs, but if you did certain folk wouldn't stop raving about it. This is certifiably better than many so called fancy/posh/instagrammable restaurants. This is a proper mum and dad run joint with everything made fresh and is very much similar to what they would cook at home. Don't go expecting £2.99 chicken meal prices, we got a lamb shank tagine and there was plenty of meat dropping off the bone, we also had couscous and bread which made for a proper banging meal. To my fellow Asians, just because the food isn't dripping with chillies, doesn't make it bland! If you're wanting to spice it up, just ask for some extra harrisa sauce. In fact this place is so authentic they barely had a menu save for some pictures on the wall, and an actual tattered ripped single old menu. Not having a proper menu to decide from was the only minor down point. Overall I highly recommend this place, as I have done previously and everyone has loved it. Obviously it is halal!

everything here is homemade so I expected it to take a long but it took around 15 min which just shook me I'm drooling right now just thinking about the burger I had no exaggerations best burger I have had in my life the chips were also really crispy and seemed freshly cut also wonderful staff and wonderful customer service. It's was also a real good price for homemade food.

Incredible place. Very deceptive from the outside as its presentation isn't the best. But the food is absolutely excellent!!! Cooked fresh to order and absolutely delicious. There was no vegetarian option on the menu for my girlfriend but they made a wonderful vegetable tagine for her specially! The lamb tagine was so tender and perfectly cooked I finished the whole thing even though I don't think it was meant for one person 🤣

This place has got to be one of the best hidden gems, spoke to a lad while waiting for food aswell and he also could attest to the food and the service. Absolutely amazing munch and worth the money and more. Only downside is maybe the wait however it’s all made fresh so is defo worth it.

Me and my husband went here for the first time today, excellent meal,I ordered vegetable tagine,which was superb,loaded with vegetables,sauce, tried a few at different places and been very poor in comparison, my husband ordered prawn tagine,which he loved.we had mint tea also, done to perfection! Staff were very friendly, I highly recommend, as well worth a visit.

The male chef doesn’t undersdand English well and very rude. The menu does show have prices AT ALL. I had to ask prices for the ones I wanted and they were overpriced. Sea bass menu £14? A whole large fish is sold like £4-5 at a market and the restaurant was tiny rather than fancy. Also, most dishes take around an hour. There is a takeaway shop a block away, I recommend the place.

This place is amazing ! I am from the USA but lived in Morocco a couple of years ...and anytime I travel I try to find authentic Moroccan food because I miss it so much! This place definitely did not dissapoint! I am only in Manchester for four days but wish I had this place where I live. The Moroccan mint tea and chicken couscous was authentic and amazing ! All for 20 GBP! Definitely reccomend. They only take cash but it's worth it just prepare in advance .

Food was incredibly flavoursome and tasty. Ordered lamb tagine be berook. Meat was falling off the bone and melted in my mouth. So tender. Pastas were tasty and portions are huge. One portion of spaghetti bolognaise can feed a family of 3! Definitely a hidden halal gem. A friendly family run business and food was freshly made while we waited. Was entertaining to watch a chef at work.

Such a small and cozy corner that offers freshly made food in front of you, often even made from scratch like the pasta! The taste is really authentic and true to its origins. Also, the owners are really friendly and willing to meet all the requests kindly. The sitting area could be improved as its quite congested and the place tends to get busy. Also, plus point as they’re boycotting products such as coca-coca, and it makes it worth it to support such small businesses!

This is one of the age old places where the terminology of "what's good is good" thoroughly applies. The restaurant sits in probably not the most desirable area of Manchester. There is no fancy interior greeting the patrons, and fipperies are limited to napkins with your meal. BUT and it is a capitalised enormous BUT, the food here is truly phenomenal. The lamb tagine is the best you'll eat this side of anywhere. Note how I didn't refer the morroco here, because the tagine here is better than any I had in morroco. The bread is beautifully rustic, and everything is served hot, and with a smile. Highly highly recommended to those people who appreciate the food above everything else, because nothing else really matters.

I've tried their spicy lamb burger in homemade Morroccan bun and chips. It was delicious.

One of my favourite restaurants! The food tastes amazing! One of the best pastas I've ever had. Their tajine is outstanding and they offer different ingredients so it's difficult to try everything at once, which is good for me as I would love to keep coming and trying new stuff. Highly recommended and the owner/chief is such a great guy.

Fish I had was so fresh bread just melted in my mouth and all vegetables was so nice and tender as if they was grown in back garden. This is the place to eat if you like your healthy foods. I’m surprised with the high feedback. The food is bland and the dish is huge, so the price is expensive. I feel sorry for them since a man and his wife seem working hard but I have to say it, the food is not good. No toilet and they accept cash or bank transfer. Menu has no prices. You can park in the street though. Should I return back? The answer is NO. Since there are only two persons, you should expect some significant delay. I wish them all the best.

Found this local restaurant online. I checked the prices before leaving, looked very reasonable eg £9 for couscous and £8 for tajine. It's a little cafe style place, no fancy decor or waiting staff etc. The menu was very creased and didn't show the prices. Cash only. The food was great and very plentiful, the staff very friendly. We had chicken couscous and lamb tagine with prunes etc, and delicious fresh baked bread. I really thought I'd discovered a hidden gem and was looking forward to telling friends and family. There was no bill and no receipt and we were shocked to get £1.50 change from £40: two meals, two cans of drink and bread for £38.50! When I went home, I checked the online prices again and.found the total should have been £18.40 without the bread which was not on the menu. My arabic speaking friend rang the restaurant, thinking there must have been a mistake, but the lady said it was £18 for one dish and £19 for the other. He quoted the prices on the online menu and she said these were the old prices (updated January 2023, according to the website). The prices were MORE THAN DOUBLE those on the website. I was so so disappointed, I thought this was going to be my regular local restaurant where I would bring friends and family. But I now feel cheated and despite the lovely food there's a bitter taste in mouth.

Be careful. The prices I was charged were MORE THAN DOUBLE those quoted on the online menu. The menu in the restaurant has no prices, they don't give you a hill or a receipt and I had a big shock when they charged £38.50 for a tagine, a couscous and two cans of drink. When we mentioned the prices on the online menu, they said these were old prices (website updated January 2023). I feel really cheated and although the food was delicious I will not be going there again.

This is my favourite restaurant in Manchester. Run by Abu Bilal and his wife, this Moroccan themed restaurant turns out fresh, wholesome, made-from-scratch dishes on a daily basis. The seating is very limited so it is advisable to order in advance or take out where possible. The portion sizes are generous and the value for money is exceptional. For lovers of fast food I must recommend the Spinach Burger - a beef or chicken patty, topped with sauteed spinach and garlic aoili in a freshly baked flatbread - or the Kofta Burger - lamb meatballs in a luscious tomato sauce, with salad and garlic aoili in freshly baked flatbread. Abu Bilal and his wife also prepare delicious, freshly rolled pizzas with a variety of toppings - not authentically Italian but they are a must try! They also serve freshly made pasta with choice of sauce which cannot be passed on. There are a number of tagines on offer - meatball, chicken, fish, vegetable - but the king of is their lamb Tagine with fruits. A meltingly tender lamb shank coated in a rich sweet, savoury reduction, with prunes, apricots and boiled egg garnishing the Tagine, served with choice of fresh couscous or freshly baked bread. This gem of a dish is often sold out quickly so be sure to order in advance - I often call the day beforehand. I must recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area, having eaten here too many times during my years in Manchester

Here's something for you to read whilst your waiting and have waited forever for your food. Firstly, the food here is delicious and I have ordered so many times, I recommend pizza diavola and tagliatelle creamy chicken pasta. Each time I phone and order to collect, The lady will say 20 minutes without a doubt it will always be 20 minutes and when you arrive 20 minutes later without a doubt your food will not be ready and you will literally watch them make it infront of you, pizza will go in the oven and they will make my pasta all when I arrive. each and every time I order this is the case and defeats the whole point of ordering via telephone to collect, but I continue to order because can't fault the food .... the evening of writing this review I had enough, when I did all of the above as usual which has become normal though it shouldn't be, rang up, arrived 20 minutes later, food not ready, 30 minutes later after waiting only pasta had been made when I had ordered the pizza and the pasta, we all get things wrong but I only ordered 2 things and when I arrived to collect I told him pizza and pasta and he said yes but anyway pasta paid for £8, gave him £10, received £2 change and told him leave the pizza and walked out. He shouted me back and said pizza can be done in 5 mins and I decided ok I've already waited an hour for a pasta, an extra 5 mins for a pizza is amazing right, 5 mins turned in to 20mins and upon paying for the pizza £7, I gave £10, he remembered he gave me the £2 change earlier for the pasta and decided it would be a good idea to ask for that so he doesn't use up his change which in any other situation is fine but I had just waited an hour and half for a pasta and pizza, I most deffinately will not be eating here again, good food is no longer enough. Awful awful customer service from these lot. Whenever I order something they get my order wrong not sure if it’s intentional or they genuinely make mistakes with peoples orders. The guy there isn’t friendly at all and when arranging a collection we were told it will be 30 mins when we came the order wasn’t even ready had to wait extra 15-20 mins. In regards to the food very average bland food for Moroccan cuisine and it’s very pricey. We also ordered the couscous and the vegetables were not cooked all the way through. Never again!

Since there is no price on menu, perhaps price depends on whether or not you are Moroccan or Arab. Moroccan staff and owner are simply not honest without integrity, please avoid!!!!!!!!!
