Tiggis St Annes in Fylde

This is a wonderful restaurant we have been many times Yesterday the meal was exceptional the chicken was totally delicious as was was the starter It’s such a lovely atmosphere all the staff are friendly One of the waitresses was outstanding I noticed that when a woman and her partner had left her coat behind she ran like the wind to outside to return the coat the girl was only young but a credit to the restaurant Saying that our experience is all the staff are brilliant and food superb Thank you Tiggis

We came here on Thursday night. Really busy restaurant lots of atmosphere. I had the debating followed by the pappardelle , really nice .

We have eaten here many times since we moved to the area in 2020 but unfortunately we will not be returning. My wife and daughter had the sea bass and salmon fillet respectively and this time both dishes were very greasy with far too much oil on the plate. My wife has had sea bass fillets in our local restaurant in Cleveleys which I have to say were far more superior to what we had here. and less expensive. I have commented on the head waiter before about his surly attitude and this has not improved, He never smiles, rude when taking the order and bordering on aggressive in his behaviour. I cannot believe that someone like this is front of house in such an established restaurant.

Our family visited this week , 5 of us. We have all been to Tiggis many times and loved the food and the experience. This last visit was unfortunately very disappointing. The wait staff were mainly at fault . From what I could see 4 waiters and a bar person. The restaurant was no where near busy however , we had to wait for a waiter to take drink orders , never returning to the table for new orders ever! The food waiter was impersonal and borderline rude ! He actually slammed the dinner plates down on the table , like he was doing us a favour . We waited so long for the main course plates to be removed that we refused to stay for dessert. As the restaurant was closing down, all waiters were were so busy focusing on cleaning up, they ignored the remaining tables looking for service , one waiter was more focused on his phone than doing his job. Sorry Tiggis ! Your wait staff are below your normal standard and your food was somewhat disappointing! Not your usual quality! Doubt we would be ever go back . No idea what has changed but u need to change it back .

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was very Italian and I believe it was cooked by the Italian. I look forward to visiting there in the future.

Really enjoyed our Friday night dinner at tiggis . Our meal was really enjoyable , the Branzino ( sea bass) was superb as was the Pizza Margarita with asparagus , wine choice is excellent and well priced , they have a great earlybird menu as well as alacarte . Service was excellent thanks to Dominic and the chefs were superb thanks to Steve . Overall HIGHLY RECOMMENDED , special thanks & appreciation to ROMANO . Well done to all .

They welcomed our large group with little notice and did an excellent job of hosting and feeding us.

Usually OK, but last time I was there, the fish dish I had was very strong smelling like it was off, and the sirloin I had for mains was very salty I only ate a small piece and left the rest .

Was a decent overall experience but due to last minute booking was sat in the outdoor bit, service was never going to be as good as you'd get inside the restaurant but wasn't too bad

Great italian restaurant. Lovely food and atmosphere

We prebooked, arrived on time, but our table wasn't ready. We were asked to wait, which was fine but we were then sent upstairs into a very noisy area where children were running around to wait. We were then asked to order drinks after a few minutes, when we asked again when our table would be ready we were seated in the upper, busy area. The waiter who took our order could not have been more disinterested, he made no eye contact at all. One of our starters had a hair in it so was returned, we did not take the replacement offered. Our main courses were very good. All in all, we hadn't been in a Tiggis for years and were really excited to visit one again but we would not return.

This place is well worth the visit. Wonderful staff, incredible food. May have a little wait, but oh my goodness is it worth the wait. The atmosphere is light and happy.

First time back to Tiggis in about 35 years since moving away. Happy to report it's still fantastic! We had the salmon with garlic bread to start. The bread was served piping hot and delicious just as it always was. The salmon was also excellent.

Another excellent evening at Tiggis , a really nice atmosphere and service was great . Our meal was superb - seabass , with spinach side and the pizza was lovely . A friendly welcome on arrival from Dumi and Dominic . All the chefs are excellent as are all the staff and overall highly recommended . Special thanks to Romano .

Very disappointing visit avoid at all costs

We have been visiting Tiggis in Bolton with family since we were young. The food and service now is just as good as good as we remember it being. Staff are welcoming and attentive but never overbearing. The food is authentic, delicious and perfectly cooked. Restaurant was very busy on Thursday evening. Thank you Tiggis!

I tried to book by email 24 hours in advance and didn’t get a response but we were offered a table when we arrived on spec. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, the menu is great, absolutely loads of gluten free options. They had run out of our first choice of drink (sparkling water) and brought us expensive, wasteful bottled water when other restaurants would bring tap water. My starter (stuffed pepper) was very watery and the meat was bland. My mushroom pizza was dull and just loaded with cheese and undercooked mushrooms. Our server had been trained to ask if we enjoyed our meal but hadn’t been trained how to respond to a response, so when I said “it was just alright” they didn’t speak again. I think it’s the vibrant family atmosphere that makes this place, it is lovely, but the food is basic.

Excellent all round Jane and I enjoyed it very much.

The place was busy when we arrived but that didn’t deter from the service or the speed the food arrived. Everyone’s food was delicious and tasted authentic. Definitely worth a visit if you are in St Anne’s.

Lovely clean and spacious dining room. Very welcoming and friendly waiting staff and quick service. Pizza and pasta dishes we had were very good. Good children's choice.

Don't know why I've never visited Tiggi's before; it's only been in St Anne's for 40 years! Great tasting food at reasonable prices plus plenty of variety in dishes offered.

Went out for Father’s Day. Lovely food as always. Good for families and they cater for children.

If I was to sum this visit up in one word it would be impressive. Have been meaning to visit for a while now. Upon entering first impressions were very good. We entered into a large unused dining area. Lunches were being served off to the side in another large room. 4 or 5 steps down into it which would make access for wheelchair user almost impossible. The room looked immaculate. Very tidy and clean. I had already looked at the menu online and I ordered from the 2 course lunch time menu priced at £ 15.95. You have a choice of 7 starters and 8 mains. I ordered Calarmari to start with and a ham and mushroom pizza for my mains. My fellow diner ordered a Tiggis pizza from the a la carte menu at £13.90. We also ordered a portion of chips at £4.95. For drinks we ordered a pint of San Miguel. This was only £5.50. Many pubs are charging more than that today. I ordered a large lime and soda. For this I was charged £1.10. That’s ridiculously cheap. My starter was excellent. Good sized portion and very tasty. The pizzas the same. Plenty of toppings. Lovely crisp base. Chips as well were excellent. However, they were missed off the bill which I only noticed much later. But don’t t be fooled into thinking they tasted so good because we got them free. They really were excellent chips. By now I was getting full but had to try a dessert. I ordered the lemon tart at £6.40. Again this was lovely and very well presented. Just as an aside. When I placed my order as the server was walking away he sneezed. No tables around. That made me a little anxious but as soon as he got to the bar he sanitised his hands then washed them. Like I said the place looked spotless and it looks like hygiene is set at a high standard. We ordered 2 cappuccinos to finish. Only £3.10 each. Good to see no sugar rationing here. Service had been excellent. We got the impression that this is one establishment that takes good service seriously. Unfortunately it looked like they close at 2pm when the fixed price menu finished. I thought they stayed open all through the afternoon having checked online before our visit. That might need updating. But they never pushed us to leave or complained even though it was well after 2 when we left. Only 4 stars yes. But we will definitely be visiting again and, if our next visit matches this one, I will rewrite my review and gladly give 5 stars.

We had a wonderful time at Tiggies. There were eight of us and every part of our meal was delicious. The waiting staff were so attentive and lovely and the ambience, while very relaxed was sparkling. Thank you Tiggies for a joyous experience.

It was very refreshing and reassuring when I ordered a white coffee to not be corrected with cheesy americanisms by someone who has probably never boiled a kettle. Big thumbs up for that 👍🏽

First time eating here . The food and staff were 1st class definitely will return

No goats cheese was available this was advertised as a starter .The pate portion was minute . The main course was chicken in red wine sauce it tasted like tomatoes and the wine was overpowering , it was served with inedible cabbage . In all it was an experience which was very disappointing and I would be very reluctant to eat there again.

Amazing Italian!!! The absolutely best olives I have ever had ... even compared to dining in Italy! Host and serving staff both friendly and attentive without being too over the top. Food was out of this world.... more like 10 Stars 🌟 I can highly recommend a visit!

Uninspiring faux-Italian restaurant, walking into Tiggi’s St Anne’s is like stepping back in time to 1994. Food is average, I ordered stuffed peppers - no seasoning, sauce, herbs or spices - it was simply minced meat put inside a red pepper with a sprinkle of melted cheese on top. My partner had a pasta dish which was just as mediocre. He said it tasted like it had been cooked hours ago and reheated. The atmosphere was lacking, staff were very good/helpful, however. Don’t be fooled by the ‘fancy’ interior and the location - there is very little creativity here, both in the food and the environment.

Came to St Anne's on Sea for day out reunion was quite on arrival staff very friendly had lunch menu which was very good for price we enjoyed and will visit again.

Very busy, too much noise yo the extent you couldn't have a conversation across our table of 4. Waiter almost threw plates on table, appeared he didn't want to be there, only engaged at presentation of the bill!

We visited Tiggis for a Family Birthday lunch. I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this fabulous restaurant before. The ambiance, the food, the staff, the value for money are all excellent plus. The attention to detail from the minute you step through the doors is faultless and this despite how busy it was. The food was exemplary as rated by the 6 of us, and we all had different meals. Many, many thanks for making it such a wonderful day.

Went yesterday with my partner and my friend, the food is outstanding, second time we've been now everything is stunning, cocktails are lovely, also millie our server was lovely, excellent host, very knowledgeable and so accomodating!

Party of four, had chicken livers to start, livers were tasty but hardly any sauce and lacked seasoning, also two of us had the Beef rib, was perfectly cooked, but the mash was under seasoned and dry and one of got mushrooms with it and one without asked but no explanation, for a friday evening wasn't overly busy and upstairs in darkness, used to be alot better unfortunately.

Staff warm welcoming and attentive food lovely main course a bit big would have happily paid same price for smaller portion sauce with chicken delicious

Food is fair, inexpensive. Really needs some healthier options including salads etc. Service was attentive and pleasant. Place is not the easiest spot to find, it is well back from the kerb, when you get inside it’s a hard right and downstairs to the restaurant. It feels dead, could do with some life.

Amazing atmosphere great service top teir food

Had a delicious meal here on Sat night with my husband. The food was great and the place was busy and had lots of atmosphere. Mr Romano who has had this place for 42 years was so charming and lovely - you could see how proud he is of his establishment. It really does feel like a family run place. I had the seafood pasta which was delicious and my husband's pizza was a good size and very tasty. Highly recommended if you are looking to eat well in this neighbourhood.

On a business trip and with a colleague who had dined here before and told me how good it was. He was not wrong ! We both chose from the specials menu and I had the pork belly with pear and black pudding. It was hot and full of flavour. The pork was perfectly cooked and the combination of the pear and black pudding made for some totally different flavours on each bite. Next was a swordfish steak with mussels, samphire and njuda butter. The steak almost melted but still had a good texture, the mussels were perfect and the samphire gave just a hint of salt. The njuda which could have overpowered it all was a lovely background note and complimented everything perfectly. The staff were attentive without being ‘in your face’, did not chase us at any time and were a credit to the place. I would happily recommend Tiggi’s and would go regularly myself if not for the fact I live over 250 miles away ! However, when in that area again I WILL make a point of booking a table.

Not been to tiggis for a while. However it was still just as amazing if not better. Big party so we did a pre order and every dish came out correctly no issues. Garlic bread is a must as it was delicious. Service was quick. Took a while to get the bill but it wasn't a massive issue as we were still talking and catching up.

When you select a restaurant from 200 miles away, you never know what you get. Tiggis was a great choice. Great service, very good food and wine. All the dishes we had we would recommend. The wine was also very drinkable and all great value. I would suggest booking in advance as very busy on Saturday night.

Clean and spacious, lovely modern place.

This is a good restaurant with great Italian food, but it is very noisy inside. So if you want to have an intimate conversation it may not be the place to have it. The service was good but not intrusive and the prices were not crazy. There is a small car park, but parking in the area may require some driving around

Just really enjoyed a superb evening dinner at Tiggis , the restaurant is an excellent venue for all occasions and our dinner was wonderful quality and presentation . The Margarita pizza was the best ever thanks to new chef Dominic , the Chicken livers fegatini were superb thanks to Danielli and the Sea Bass was just superb thanks to Steve . Table service was quick efficient and professional thanks to everyone on the team . A really good evening highly recommended thanks to Romano .

Went for a, celebration meal had the evening menu chose the insulta carroti with goasts cheese to say the carrots bounce of the plate was a understatement apart from that everything else was,to our taste. Bit disappointed with the starter choice

The meal was nice but I got a 60 pound parking fine for parking in their car park which turned out expensive in the end ,and never again as I went twice that week so 2 parking tickets

We moved tables initially as there was a cold draft on the first table offered, staff were polite and understood. The food was very good but the restaurant emptied totally by 21.30 and they had started closing it down by turning the lights off....a little disappointed because of this but put it down to "dry January " but we will be back in a more busy time.

Visited at lunchtime. Good choice menu,great food and reasonably priced. Excellent service.

All the chefs are excellent , thanks to Steve & Danielli . Table service was excellent professional quick and friendly thanks to All the team , mentioning Tiffany and Dominic . Highly recommended many thanks to all and ofcourse not forgetting Romano .

Excellent food in brilliant surrounding A hidden gem . Had the traditional Christmas Dinner and can honestly say one of the best I have had succulent Turkey and the trimmings beautiful Husband had the beef rib and was delicious Daughter and Grandaughter traditional Italian fair and was excellent Extensive wine list and house wine prices and quality such good quality and value Very impressed definitely be returning

Our absolute fave! Undisputedly the best Italian on the Fylde Coast - we absolutely love this place. Real hidden gem - fantastic food, extremely good value, 100% consistency rate. I defy you to find a better liver dish in Lytham St Annes, or a more reasonably priced bottle of vino. Great for couples, ideal for family celebrations (of which we’ve had many here!) and the specials / set menus always deliver. Five Stars.

Took my Dad for dinner here after a long day of Christmas shopping. The food and the waiting staff were both second-to-none, as has been the case just about every time I come here for dinner

Again back to at Anne’s on business, this time bringing a few work colleagues. Can’t fault this restaurant at all the service and food is second to none. Started off with some antipasto finished with venison all washed down with a delicious bottle of ripasso. Thanks again to Dominic and the team see you in the near future.

Tiggis comes highly recommended as a really popular venue with many regular diners returning every week. High quality Italian dishes freshly prepared in the open to view kitchen by a really great team of chefs make all the difference . Table service is always quick professional & friendly from ALL of the team who ALL work really hard . DEFINATELY A MUST IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE IN ST ANNES .

Went last night for a birthday celebration, 10 people in total. The table was booked for 8pm with all the meals pre-ordered to try and prevent any confusion or delays on the night. We arrived early to have a drink before being seated. We could see our table was ready when we all arrived but no one made any effort to show us to the table even once it was past 8pm. Considering all the meals were pre-ordered there was still quite a delay in getting things to the table, don't think anyone got their mains until after 9pm. As for the food, I had saltcod started which was fair, but the main of Canelloni poor compared to other visits. The sauce was under seasoned and the meat was very dry. Garlic breads were excellent however. The service overall also was not as good as previous visits, very slow to clear any plates or glasses. May have been an off night but not sure we'll be rushing back.

I live in London and took my daughter to Blackpool to see the gruffalo's club house (Blackpool looks a haunted city tbh) and I've found this place on maps, 15 min driving from there. It is a gem, a Oasis in the middle of a desert!! I was so happy to find Tiggis, that literally I almost cried. It is a proper Italian restaurant, we've been met by the owner, very friendly, and staff very polite, food very good. Fair price. Opened kitchen could show the magic happening. Thanks for being there when I most needed!!

Pre booked a table for four and as it turned out the older, surly guy who we asked to book in with just waved us into the nearest table. Food was well presented, but sorely lacking on flavours. Service was efficient, but indifferent. Not the best welcome, and won't be returning.

First visit, but not the last. Very smart venue, excellent food and service. The 2 course set menu is fantastic value. Carrot salad never seen before and was really lovely, as we're all the dishes. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you everyone involved.

I loved the food and service. They have a small car parking just by the entrance. I really recommend it and certainly if I ever go to that area again I will be back to enjoy some good food.

Great place! Amazing food and an incredible atmosphere.

I last visited with the same companions in January 2023. Once again everything about the restaurant was top class; from food to service to ambience to value for money. I just love the Minestrone soup and my Pappardelle di Carne was delicious. One companion found the mushroom risotto a little too much but other than that we had a lovely meal. I heartily recommend this popular restaurant; your problem might be getting a table at weekends.

An excellent place to spend an evening

We have been here many times on holiday in St Anne's but the staff has changed and they seem indifferent to serving you , and rushing you to clear your plates. The owner who is a bit older then me , and I am 68, had left as we arrived and the standard was not as good as normal

Back to at Anne’s this week first stop Tiggis. Thanks again for a great night with fantastic food and great service, the venison is to die for .

Great food, good prices and fab service. Just a tad loud

We come here quite often and have never had a bad meal this is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in this area. Staff are alway lovely and the owner is especially good with children. We have brought several family members and friends here and everyone has always thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I have found since covid many restaurants have gone down hill but not Tiggis it has maintained its high standards. Beautiful restaurant with fantastic food.
