Great food and service,, spoilt by family with no control over their kids, allowing a small child to lie and roll round the floor .... 😡

For the only place you can book at Ribby Hall you'd expect it to be pretty decent. However, the food is massively overpriced - the cheapest starter being Bruschetta at around £9.50 which I ordered and sent back as it was presented as a pile of foliage on a sloppy slice of bread. No-one likes soggy bread. The ultimate burger is a standard burger with bacon, cheese and everything else you'd expect on a burger - priced at £16.95. It was ridiculously greasy, with murky brown grease cascading down my hand with every bite. Atmosphere was quiet so obviously we weren't in the loop about how bad this place was. Service gets 3 stars as they did let us pick a table and refunded the bruschetta and replaced the wine which was served to us lukewarm.

Very busy place...clean and tidy, tables cleaned quickly ..very attentive waitress looked afer us....food good ...Good for large groups ...party's ect...

We were a larger group of 15 people plus 3 dogs and booked several months ahead of our visit. We were made to feel very welcome and had a lovely table waiting for us on arrival. The food was excellent We all enjoyed our meals. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly and helpful and having 3 dogs with us was absolutely not a problem. Couldn't recommend highly enough- see you next year!

We celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary here recently, we cannot thank all the staff for making our night memorable. There were 32 of us, a child that has lots of allergies and a lady that has walking difficulties. The staff were amazing, the food was fantastic and the service was brilliant. We had Bea who never stood still, she worked so hard all night making sure everyone was happy. The food was hot, tasty and presented lovely. The child with allergies was served separately making sure her food was safe for her. Amazing staff that went Above and Beyond. Thank you to all of you.

We came to Terrazza restaurant last February (2023) and had a fabulous meal so on our return last weekend we booked again for my mums 80th birthday. There was 10 of us and a 2 year old. We were really looking forward to it. On booking we said it was an 80th birthday but no decorations or balloon as others have written about in your reviews. This wouldn’t have mattered had the food met our expectations but sadly it wasn’t good at all. The braised beef Sunday dinner was passable. All other dishes were bland. All of the pasta dishes actually tasted the same, just different shaped pasta! I had the cod. The fish was perfect but the rest of the dish was tasteless. It had asparagus stalks on it but the heads (the best bit!) had been left off! We were all quietly disappointed but didn’t want to complain at the time as it was my mums birthday and she wanted to treat us all plus we didn’t want to spoilt the evening. There is no way this meal was worth the £420 she paid. Please pass on this message to your chefs. More seasoning is needed in all dishes and more variety of flavours.

The pasta was very watery and very overcooked for both of us.

Superb service and food that melts in the mouth. The chicken was moist and tasty and the bolognaise deeply tasteful. Best Monday treat in a long time!

We have now been here for two visits since a very average lunch a couple of years ago. I cannot speak highly enough of the management who were gracious and kind in the resolution of our previous issue. The dining room is now very well laid out and we had a great table by the window, overlooking excited trick or treating visitors. It was cosy, beautifully lit and very clean. Our service was friendly and welcoming throughout. The menu is diverse and meets dietary needs well. The food was served quickly and portion size was very good. The children enjoyed the activity sheet and we had clean plates all round. I am very glad to see the hard work and conscientiousness of Jess and her team paying off. We will certainly be back.

Came for my daughters 40th birthday, a party of 15 of us....nothing was too much trouble,food was really good, the venue had put our balloons and sprinkles on the table and our big helium balloons ready for our arrival....waiter called Jack was an absolute star, he made himself available to us with a smile whenever we required something, his customer service skills were fantastic ,so a big " thankyou" to him for helping to make the evening a success . We had various items of food from the salmon off the specials menu, to braised beef, seabream,burgers and pizzas .

The food is really good , but the outstanding feature was Jess , she memorised all the orders , no notes, nothing ! And we were a table of 11 + with starters and mains . Absolutely brilliant 👏❤️😊 We are local / members of Ribby and an employee so means a lot

Fabulous meal. Went with average expectations but this restaurant easily surpassed those. Beautiful food, a variety of pizzas, pastas and desserts ordered, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. We’ve not been before but will definitely be back next time we stay at Ribby Hall.

Started off well with a manager explaining all the dietary options and possible changes. Then we placed the order and the starter arrived. However, we then had a 45-minute wait before the main course, which delayed further plans for the evening. No explanation for the long wait was supplied, but it ruined the visit. The food was very good, just very delayed. Further visits have been excellent, and the staff were very friendly and responsive to my initial grievance. Decent Gluten-free and Lactose-free options are available. Would now recommend.

Food was bland and lasagna was burnt. Don't waste your money, over priced, had better pub food.

A group of about 10 ate here on a weekday, everyone really enjoyed their choice of meal, well done!

What a complete waste of money! Avoid at all cost. When they brought my sons full adult portion of carbonara, it barely covered the bottom of the bowl, and when I asked the YTS kid who brought it out if that was it, she looked at me, awkwardly smiled, and just walked off! DO NOT BOTHER, about as far away from an authentic Italian as you can get 🙁

Booking is advised before you come. Came here twice whilst staying at Ribby Hall as the food was very good. The best on-site food at Ribby hall. Staff are friendly. Restaurant is clean and well presented. The food is excellent , there is an on site pizza oven and the pizzas/ garlic breads are excellent. The lasagne is a must try. Seating inside and outside. There is a play area next to the outdoor seating that is gated and fenced so your children can go and play. Parking is limited Wheelchair accessible Will visit again

Ideal venue for meeting up for a bite to eat. Reasonable selection of italian style food, if a little pricey! Staff helpful & attentive.

Just eaten the most delicious gluten free seafood pasta. It was fresh, hot, garlicky and nicely spiced with fresh chillies. We’ve eaten here many times and we can honestly say we have never had a bad meal or poor service. All the staff are excellent at their jobs. They are courteous, friendly and efficient. If you have to eat a gluten free diet this is the place to go. There is plenty of choice on the menu and they take allergies seriously and meticulously talk you through the options. There is GF pasta, pizza and lots of other main meal options as well as some nice GF desserts too.

This was the best meal I have had in a long, long time. No photos unfortunately as my phone's camera is terrible. Myself and my fiancee had different meals and they were both absolutely delicious along with the garlic bread we had on the side. The staff were welcoming, friendly and weren't overbearing as some places can be. The only slight letdown was the music but as long as the food is good I'm happy. In this case it was more than good!

Beautiful food, lovely friendly staff. Very accommodating as I asked to change the chicken la crème to have no truffle mash and no skin on chicken. My little girl loved the spaghetti bolognaise and my partner said the burger was the best he’s tried!

Firstly , to mention my husband has a shellfish allergy it was dealt with over the phone on booking and throughout the meal. Fantastic and reassuring. Thankyou! We were greeted professionally and friendly by the manager at the door . We loved the buzzing atmosphere. The order was taken. We had pate to start , delicious smooth couldn't fault. Our mains were amazing . Lasagne , garlic bread - perfection . Pollo ala creme just spot on . Creamy mash, moist chicken , sauce just beautiful. Then we chose the specials dessert . Light lemon tart and a lovely end to a great meal . We will be back. The staff were just so attentive and so nice and polite . All round great evening. Highly recommend and we will go back!!!

My first time here and I will certainly be returning. Food and service was excellent. Piping hot food and service with a smile. I had king prawn, nduja, cherry tomatoes pasta, it was delicious. Well done to the chef and the team.

Had such a lovely get-together with my lovely friends! The food was amazing, our waiter was so great and I would highly recommend this place for a mid week treat or a special occasion.

It was like eating the spaghetti pasta out of washing up water. Sauce was not a creamy texture clinging to the pasta. The service was very poor despite the fact it was a quiet Tuesday night and there were only about 8 tables altogether to attend to with a fair number of staff 3 to 4. They were pleasant enough but very non attentive. On a plus it was dog friendly altho there was no water for the dog.

Came here Monday 30th Jan for Lunch as we were going to Wild Discovery ( booked a Carybara Experience) it was my son's 18th we had a fantastic time the food was really good...the service from Cameron was super friendly...thank you to everyone...what a fantastic place( just what we needed as we had travelled from Doncaster)

The restaurant has friendly, welcoming staff and a nice atmosphere. The only thing I was let down by was the lack of vegan options. I had a vegan pizza which was nice, however I seem to remember a vegan burger being available here (unless I'm thinking of somewhere else) - vegan burgers, vegan nuggets etc added to the menu would be great.

We had small children in the party and wanted somewhere child-friendly: this place certainly is. Unfortunately the pizza oven had broken so no pizzas today. But there was a children’s menu which was fine (although a pity that what’s described as a chocolate milkshake was just a carton of chocolate milk) and they appreciated the mats with puzzles on and crackers. We had starters and a main course: we all found something we fancied. The waitress had to fetch a manager to take the order as one of our party has allergies, which seems a bit over the top. The food was all fine, but nothing special. My pasta with a pesto sauce had lots of sauce and some unexpected chill pieces but tasted fine. The lasagne we ordered came with a salad served in a small pan, which is an odd way to serve it, and no dressing. It’s a pity the part of the restaurant we were in has fake stone wall: they’re just photographs, and it seems a bit unnecessary. So all in all a decent enough meal but nothing special.

Unfortunately the porterhouse steak burgers were overcooked, consequently leaving them hard, dry and salty. We can recommend the pizza each pizza and we had 5 that were different were delicious.

Booked last night, visited today for lovely catch up with friend, warm welcome by Michael, attentive service by young waitress and beautiful food. Cosy spacious environment. Couldn't fault it, good helpings, ended up being there over 2 hours,so full but relaxed!! Thankyou....yes we'll be back!

My Fiancee, Mum and I ate here today in the Conservatory as we were with our two dogs. Made the booking with Jenny and were seated and served by her and Michael. Brilliant staff that are a credit to you, food was great also. We will be back and can’t recommend this place enough. Steve, Michelle and Brenda.

A Group of 11 of us dinned here on Sunday all the food was excellent and the staff went above and beyond when a member of the party needed their dinner reheating would highly recommend thank you Terrezza x

2nd time trying and on both occasions been disappointed. Very over priced for what the offer and I would say a very limited menu. Kids menu also has no option of starters. We won't be trying again. The food in the Hive is fantastic at Ribby Hall and quality pizza from Papa John's so no reason to risk this restaurant again for us.

Was overly impressed by the way they acknowledged my Alergy. Plus everything else was lovely.

Not impressed initially as could not book online or by phone so had to go in to book . On the day good service with friendly staff . The sharing board starters are amazing very tasty and good value . The pizzas were very good but 2 of us had mussels and they were the smallest I have ever seen ...very poor would not order these again . Will definitely visit again hopefully they make it easier to book in the future but will stick to pizza or pasta .

After attending the wedding fayre today we had booked into the restaurant for lunch. After our disappointment in being told there was no Sunday Lunch option on offer, we were seated and introduced to our server Cameron. What ever you do, keep hold of this young man. What a delight. Chatty, attentive and an excellent asset to you. Food was excellent. Ambiance good and all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed. Coffees and teas served outside to us. A lovely time had by all Thankyou !

Food was delicious however man behind bar in white shirt serving me charged me for two garlic breads and when I was querying it I thought I was going to get into an argument with him as he was very adamant I had said two garlic breads got a refund but he left me feeling rather shaken. Meals came out and the meals were literally thrown on the table before I had chance to ask for Parmesan cheese the staff had all disappeared.Apart from that the food was very tasty customer service could just do with improvement.

My husband and I decided to hold our Golden Wedding party at the Terrazza. The staff set up the room beautifully. We had 36 people with lots of children. Drinks were served quickly when our guests arrived. All the food was exceptionally good and hot....

Friendly atmosphere and nice staff. Good sized portions and reasonable prices that you would normally pay in a restaurant/brasserie. Outside terrace bar is also a bonus. We ordered the Pollo Milanse, Chicken Burger and Chicken & N'duja Penne Pasta and couldn't fault any of the dishes, they were really delicious. If you are having a dessert, would highly recommend the Lotus biscuit cheesecake, it's on another level 😋

Visited here on the last night of the holiday and thought it was great. Went for the sea bream that was absolutely delicious. Also a really nice vibe eating outside with the sun shining and staff were lovely. Really pleasant experience

Myself and family eat daily in this restaurant when staying 3 times a year on holiday. The quality of food is shockingly poor this spring. Myself and my wife ordered the ultimate Burger for a change. The meat was full of gristle and totally unacceptable...

I attended with friends today and our waiter was lovely and the food was fantastic. I asked for a fried egg on my burger and although there was nothing else on the menu with eggs, they willingly accommodated. Will definitely be back !

The food was really nice as were the staff, who were very friendly. It was let down by service though and it took two hours for a main and a dessert. Also a bit disappointed in the lack of a drinks menu, cocktails they used to make here didn't seem to be available anymore. Food was as expected for an Italian but not a patch on the old menu when it was The Restaurant and the tapas (which was great) has gone too.
