I don’t usually dwell on poor service, but this experience left a particularly bitter taste. We arrived at 8:12 PM and were immediately met with pressure from the waiter, who told us the kitchen would be closing in 20 minutes. From the moment we sat down, we felt rushed—not only with our food order but also when choosing wine. The tone was abrupt, and the atmosphere felt more like a last-minute pit stop than a welcoming dining experience. In hindsight, we should have left right then, as it was clear from the outset that we weren’t being treated with basic hospitality. Feeling cornered, we hastily ordered three dishes and a bottle of wine just to avoid missing out. But what followed only added insult to injury. At 9 PM, four more guests arrived and were allowed to order freely without any mention of time constraints. When we challenged the waiter about the discrepancy, he denied saying the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes and even falsely claimed we had arrived at 8:30 PM. Only when he checked the system—which clearly showed 8:12 PM—did the timeline become undeniable. Yet even then, he continued to deny ever pressuring us, despite there being three of us who heard him say it clearly. It was deeply frustrating to be rushed, gaslit, and then dismissed, especially when it became clear that the kitchen was never in danger of closing. We felt manipulated into ordering quickly for no reason at all. Fried Baby Squid (£17.00): Lightly battered but visually unappealing—almost blackened. Grilled Mackerel (£13.00): Well cooked, with a salty sauce and pickled radishes. Pentolaccia Scoglio: A rich and satisfying seafood pasta; easily the standout dish. Decent quality and reasonably priced, though we barely had a moment to consider the options. Despite the good food, the lack of welcome, dishonesty from staff, and unnecessary pressure ruined the evening. We felt uncomfortable from the moment we arrived and were treated with a complete disregard for the customer experience. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this restaurant.

Increíble pasta en el mercado municipal. Muy rápido y definitivamente recién hecho. Muy lleno de porción grande y vale la pena el viaje. ¡Lo tuve dos veces!

1-Dec-22: Visited as a party of 4 on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was busy and buzzy and waiting staff were friendly. Food was OK, nothing special but nothing bad. My carbonara served from the parmesan wheel was a bit of fun.

Great pizzas and super friendly service. The kids pizzas are fun and always a winner!

I went to caravaggio for lunch this afternoon I had a lovely mixed fish skewers with Lobster sauce I highly recommend Caravaggio restaurant in Camberwell Moreover the staff members are lovely, they are so friendly and professional I loved this experience once again in caravaggio, I am coming back very soon. Excelente pizza y pasta. Personal muy amable que es muy acogedor y cómodo con mi hijo salvaje ASD. Realmente aprecio un lugar donde el personal no muestra miedo a las necesidades especiales y este es uno de los lugares más acogedores en los que he estado. Una ventaja adicional es que sus pizzas Margarita y Quattro Formaggi son increíbles - fabulosas bases italianas y sabor. ¡Me lleva directamente a Italia!

It was worth it, that waiting outside by roughly 15’. Our food was good. Kids were having good time We were looked after by Carmen, hence this review. Simply, we were welcomed at Franco Manca - London Bridge.

enamoured with the garden at the back! beautifully kept with quirks, also like the middle sitting area - kind of an orangery - lots of natural light coming in! what more could you ask for? (better wifi in the garden) but with Italian beer for £3.50 i won’t complain

"The Stillroom" es un emblema de este renacimiento, una porción de la sofisticación de la Europa continental en un vecindario donde la mayoría de los residentes locales todavía no pondrían un pie en ese lugar.
