I just went there for a pizza. Four cheese pizza to be exact. Made in front of me and cooked in the oven whilst I enjoyed a beer. Just delicious no other words for it. Good as it gets. I will be back

By far the best pizza restaurant in SE and the pasta dishes are excellent too. Unassuming, welcoming, family friendly and quick service (if you need it to be) it’s very reasonably priced with an extensive menu to meet all dietary needs. Excellent tiramisu and the best liquor coffee I’ve had in a London restaurant! Great with children too.

This little hidden gem was one of the best finds in my life! I promise you it is hands down the best tapas you will ever eat. If only it wasn’t so far away from where I live then I’d genuinely have woken up the next day and gone straight back for lunch and then tea. So authentic, literally blew our minds how god it was. We only got 3 pictures of about 12 dishes because we ate them so fast 😂

I ordered a vegetarian risotto and a fish (seabass) and chips. There was no fish: just thin slithers of slimey batter. When I looked on the order menu, the fish had been removed and replaced with salmon. Dreadful dreadful service

Avoid if going in person. Most meals are a disaster due to dreadful service. I’ve given them many chances, but yet again the service lets this restaurant down. Only use them if ordering online.

(Delivery review). Sooo impressed with my order. Suddenly craved spaghetti bolognese so I ordered from here for the first time and the food was fresh, delicious and piping hot. Will defo try again and do a store visit. Huge thumbs up.

Very, very nice restaurant. Excellent food, good wine list, excellent service, plenty of room, good music, great portions, clean loos and good value. A very cheerful and authentic atmosphere on a wet October evening. This place is local to our son. Our group ages ranged from mid 20s to mid 60s. Ideal choice for all.

Best Italian. Chef cooked off the menu a most awesome chicken piccata. Home made tiramisu. The next night we had take away pizza, oh so delicious!

I was with a friend around London and It was 10:30pm. We didn't know where we could go to eat because was quiet late,so then, I checked in internet and I saw this restaurant with really good reviews and with a good look, so we dicided go there. We were worry about if still they were serving food, but yes! They took us without problems. Since the first moment they been really polite and professionals. And well, about the food I can't say nothing else that it was AMAZING(!!), the pizza was fresh and full of flavour and the duck the same. Just I can say thank you for the lovely evening your guys gave to us. Nous étions 10 et c'est le seul bon restaurant dans le secteur qui nous a accueillit. C'est un restaurant sans prétention à la carte variée des pizzas aux pâtes, salades ou viandes tout est parfait les prix sont très raisonnables et le personnel et la direction adorable si vous logez sans le quartier n'hésitez pas.

So happy that this place is on my doorstep. Went last night and there was a group of 25 of us. The food was great no mix ups on anyones order and delivered to the table in perfect timing. Everyone had fun and enjoyed their meal. Plan to eat my way through the menu. Fantastic.

Watched my pizza being made and cooked - timed to coincide with my partners risotto; both excellent. Attentive service, lovely wine. It's a bit of a trek but with a bus stop right outside well worth the trouble.

If you like authentic Italian food with all that goes with it, go to La Luna. It's a great place for a family meal and they look after you really well. There were four of us around the table for a get-together; we all chose something different to eat; they do pasta very well, they do pizza very well; they do sea bass very well if you like fish. Their tiramisu and their chocolate dessert with ice cream was excellent. All washed down with Moretti beer, house red wine, and complimentary limoncello just when we thought we had finished!

This restaurant does very nice food and good value pizza. The staff are friendly and the ambiance is pleasant. Certainly recommend for a relaxed pizza or pasta

Went for dinner on a Saturday night at La Luna after reading good reviews. It ended up being a bit disappointing for a few reasons. The restaurant was quiet, maybe 1/5 full but we were made to feel a bit rushed to order. Had the fried calamari to start, it was okay. We ordered the ham and pineapple pizza, and seafood pasta for main and they brought the wrong food. Again the restaurant was mostly empty. We had roughly cut a couple slices out the pizza as it looked like ours, after realising the mistake, before they took it back they asked if we had touched it to see if they could give it straight to the correct table. It was a bit strange. The seafood pasta had very little seafood, I’m not sure if I missed the description as it should have said seafood flavoured pasta. It was a let down. The pizza was good however. Great base, good amount of toppings, well cooked in the pizza oven. Tiramisu was also delicious. It was a shame the whole experience wasn’t as good as those two aspects. It was £50 for two, including a bottle of wine, lemoncello and the food listed. It’s not expensive but was disappointing compared to other restaurants of similar cost.

Italian restaurant with cozy decor. Would recommend the boar pasta and the Italian meatballs which were delicious. Thought they would be able to do a traditional Italian carbonara without cream but ended up a tad too salty and lacked cheese. Caprese salad was OK and service was good so I give it a 4/5 with the only thing lacking was the carbonara which I expected more of.

We were staying nearby and wnet to eat here after looking at the menu. Lovely neighbourhood feel and repeat customers indicated a good choice, and so it was! Good range of menu served with attention and humour, and very reasonable bill. They also do takeaways.

I can't wait to return. My friend introduced me to La Luna as she is a regular customer. I had the lasagna which was delicious. Served piping hot. The staff were friendly and took extra care to warn us of the hot plates. So nice to see such an authentic family restaurant in London. Clearly the owners take a lot of pride. I've been told that the deserts are great.

I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend a few times, and as an Italian I can say the food i had was really good (parmigiana as appetiser and pizza quattro formaggi are amazing!).

This is one of my local faves. Family owned Italian restaurant that serves authentic delicious Italian cuisine. My “usuals” are Mozzarella fritters in tomato sauce (starter) and Spaghetti Carbonara (main).

We went two times there and both times it was delicious, the pizzas are very good, prepared next to you, the vegetarian options are very nice and the meat was delicious too, I have never seen escalopes this big!

Nice atmosphere on a busy street. Some great wine, you can drink prosecco also. Classic Italian dish (pasta, pizza, carni, pesci), and very friendly staff. What else do you need to a lovely dinner in the middle of the summer?

This is a great restaurant! Awesome lamb and pizza. The service was on point. Not sure why some have said otherwise. Highly recommended to eat here. They are closed on Monday.

Intimate little restaurant - very nice. We shared a mixed salami and pecorino starter and then a Gorgonzola and anchovy pizza. It had a nice crispy crust and wonderful flavor. It’s worth a visit to the Walworth area .

The food was tasteless, and the personal seemed angry for having guests. They call themselves a pizzeria, but they didn’t serve pizza. They even removed the plates while people at our table still were eating. I won’t recommend this place at all. This place could need a visit from Gordon Ramsay.

First let me say that the food was good and so was the service for the most part other than one detail, but it’s enough that I personally won’t return. I would still recommend La Luna to others, it’s a good place to eat and I believe this was an anomaly and you will likely have a good experience. Basically what happened was we had a question about a salad after which we said we would still need to decide on what we were going to order. A few minutes later the owner returned and we placed our order which did not include the salad. Apparently there was a miscommunication in regards to the salad. When the food started to arrive the 1st thing was the salad that we did not order but only had a question about which began a debate as to whether we ordered it. Rather than take back the salad which probably cost the restaurant the equivalent of $1 or so to make he came up with an alternative solution of removing one entree and keeping the salad and sharing an entree, we went with the carbonara as it was what we were both going to get that originally, I wasn’t really thrilled about this solution, but I accepted (basically he was saying the miscommunication was going to be our problem). A minute or so later he returned and stated that solution wasn’t going to work as the gnocchi was already being prepared so we would have to have the gnocchi. I personally did not want gnocchi. We ate there twice in 3 days and spent the equivalent of $130 U.S. for 2 people. I know my girlfriend didn’t want me to carry this on this debate any further, so we just accepted the situation. We ordered dessert at the end as I know she wanted it and I left a tip as I didn’t want the waitress also helping to bring food to the table to lose out. I would have handled it much differently if I were the restaurant owner. Just take back the salad and give us what we ordered, there never should have even been a debate. It’s enough that I won’t return which I think is unfortunate as I do like the restaurant and even the owner other than the way that was handled. It is what it is. There are plenty of other Italian restaurants.

We went with friends for dinner to Luna restaurant a few weeks ago. The food was amazing very tasty and fresh...the water Italian girl was very nice and helpful suggesting a lot of dishes. Absolutely will go back again if will be around.

We first visited La Luna when we were still living in the neighbourhood. We noticed it always seemed to be full of people. It turned out to be one of the best pizzas one can get in London. Owners always greet you with a smile and create an inviting atmosphere. Even though we don't live near by anymore, we still try to visit the place whenever we have a chance.

Un angolo d'Italia nel cuore di Londra. Cibo di pregevole fattura grazie alla qualità della materia prima proveniente sicuramente dal nostro sud Italia. Sicuramente ristorante non a buonissimo mercato ma in linea con i canoni londinesi. Comunque sono venuto a cena due sere su tre con la mia famiglia. Personalmente suggerisco bruschetta e pappardelle con salsiccia e provola.

A great spot for real Italian on Walworth in Elephant and Castle. The food from appetizer to main course was very very good and well presented. the service was also very good with solid recommendations and attentive staff. The atmosphere was enjoyable and overall it was a great place to spend some time recharging after a very long day!

I've been to La Luna on a number of occasions and it never disappoints!With a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious food, you can't go wrong with this restaurant. I've tried both the pizza and pasta dishes and they're ALWAYS packed with delicious flavours (the garlic bread, carbonara and the chilli prawn penne have been my absolutely favourites) in hearty sized bowls.The prices are affordable and the food is great; therefore, is always a recommended place for special occasions/after work dinner. This is why I never understand the reason for it to not be full of customers. A real gem of Walworth Road!!

The pizza here was fantastic and very cool to see it being cooked. Staff were polite and attentive to our needs. All was going well until a lady came in and an argument broke out between staff and said lady. An interesting experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and wine which is very good value for money!

This is a lovely local restaurant. I first had a pizza here twenty years ago and remembered it so fondly that I recently travelled back to the area to see if it is still as good. It is! Still very friendly service, good prices on the drinks and the pizza is just fantastic. If I lived locally again I would literally be in there as three times a week. Hope it continues. Went here on a recommendation from my sisters girlfriend... What a treat. Started with a cocktail for me and sis and wine for her indoors. Somehow the drinks were ordered incorrectly (our fault) but we ended up with the wrong one as well. Next an espresso martini and some drink with gin and basil (we then started to call the lovely Turkish waiter Basil, lol, real name Can). Followed by a random shot each of a lovely Spanish liquor Crema de Catana (or close to that) which we realised went very nicely with the martini, so then we had 2 of our newly discovered Crema cocktails. Then 2 more which we've forgotten what they were... The bill and then a gin shot each plus one for Basil and our other new friend the lovely waiter/server, sorry can't remember his name. Also thanks to the pretty girl who also looked after us.We had such fun, the cocktails were delicious, the staff fun, the venue clean and tidy, food menu looked delicious yet to be tasted. So we will definitely be back, highly recommended. Bring your friends and have fun.

The best pizzas in London - a great, unpretentious and reasonably priced local Italian. We live nearby and have been going here for about 5 years. The pasta is also very good - can recommend the seafood linguine and the vongole. Are always a couple of interesting specials on the menu too. Staff are very friendly - Antonio and Silva the mainstays. House red (Montepulciano d'Abruzzo) always good and sold by the half bottle if on your own. Can't recommend it enough.

I usually get their pizza for take away and it is such good value for the money. It is very VERY delicious and you can tell that they care about their ingredients. Although I usually pick up take away, the restaurant is always buzzing and the staff is very friendly. One of my go-to's.

We are Spanish and we were looking for a good place where to find Mediterranean food. Lucky us we found La Luna! The decoration transports you into a common Italian small town like restaurant.Food is simply authentic and amazing. You can quickly tell when you taste the crafted tomato source. In addition to all that, the service is great and the owner and cook is a very nice person originally from Italy!

We had fantastic Calzones there with a great value. Everything else is just average, which it s ok, this restaurant is not intended to be posh

The 4 basic pizzas took almost an hour be served and the restaurant was not busy. I think the cook was having his lunch break (1.45 on a Saturday lunchtime!) The service was offhand and disinterested in us. The pizza toppings were sparse so nothing to race back for, so we won't!

I've visited la Luna several times and have always found the staff to be really friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. The food & drink is really reasonable and would defiantly recommend you visit.

Aunque el barrio donde está ubicado no es nada del otro mundo y el exterior y decoración interior son bastante pobres, te sorprenderá si lo que buscas es buena comida.Los dueños son italianos y se esmeran en la elaboración de los productos al igual que tienen un servicio atento y auténtico, ellos hablan en italiano y la carta también está en italiano (el nombre de los platos).Recomiendo el calzone y la pizza margarita. Nada pesadas y como debe ser una buena pizza italiana.De postre recomendaría el Banoffe Pie, que aunque no es precisamente italiano, merece la pena.

Was in the area on a business trip and decided to try here. The food was decent, the staff were friendly and helpful, the price was very good. Had a nice thin crust pizza, which was well made. Espresso was decent too.

Yesterday evening I ate here with my son on his recommendation. The restaurant is an unpretentious, family run (from Naples I believe) restaurant in the Walworth Road. The service was friendly and we ordered a Bruschetta to start with which she shared followed by two calzones (one vegetarian).I can't say the food was cordon bleu but then it was never meant to be - just down home Italian cooking.We enjoyed it and can recommend it
