Best Italian deli in west Dulwich and south London area , the food is amazing the staff is super and the products they have in stock are amazing definitely a place to go

Love this gem in Dulwich. Great service, nice fun family vibes from the guys behind the counter, excellent cured meats - got pancetta from there and it was brilliant and at great value, and love the funky atmosphere with real grapevines in the back of the cafe. Will come to Dulwich just for this place.

I lunch or shop here quite regularly. It is more a salad/sandwich bar with a delightful conservatory and outdoor area. The food and shop sell and serve high-quality Italian produce. The staff are lovely and helpful.

Lovely shop for buying Italian ingredients (inc limoncello!) with a space at the back for eating their ready-to-eat nibbles. Delicious arancini!

Good little place for Italian food and decent coffee. They use Guglielmo Coffee from Italy. They also have a nice little garden too!

This Italian deli and cafe is great! Possibly the best hot chocolate I've ever had and customer service is always point. Lovely atmosphere!

Really friendly staff, many italian sweets, loads of types of pasta, seasoning, meat, cheese. The sandwich I got was delicious. I will definitely go back in there when I am in Dulwich.

Unreal panini's and service. Even stayed open a little extra as I was on a work call in there and they didn't want to disturb. Superb local spot that deserves it's popularity.

Brilliant service and atmosphere

Sat at table which hadn’t been cleared with tea cups and lots of croissant crumbs. When our drinks were served I asked the waiter to clear them and to please wipe the table. She said ‘of course’ and took the cups but didn’t come back to wipe the table so I had to go and find her. Her response when I asked her again to please wipe the table was ‘oh I thought you asked me to just take the cups’ and said it agin when she came to wipe the table. Since when do customers have to ask waiters to wipe down dirty tables? Surely it’s obvious that all tables need to be wiped as they are cleared especially if there are crumbs, never mind basic hygiene? She wiped the table beautifully and then proceeded to wipe all the crumbs onto the patio floor announcing that we now had a nice clean table to sit at. Training is needed on the basics - tables are wipe properly after clearing as a matter of course and customers should not have to ask. Crumbs are never swept onto the floor - outside or inside, and when you are asked to wipe a table, the immediate response should be an apology not a justification as to why it wasn’t done.

Excellent, freshly cooked Sicilian food and amazing wine provided by Sergio. Top service staff and an authentic experience. Highly recommended for foodies!

What a beautiful spot! I went in for a mocha. One sip and I had it in my top 5 ever. Finished the cup and I had it in top 3. Went up to pay the friendly lads and it is now the best mocha I've ever had. Wish I lived nearby to buy some of the great selection of Italian ingredients.

The best toasted focaccias I’ve ever had!! Can particularly recommend the one with prosciutto, sun dried tomato and pesto, with olive focaccia 🙌🏻 Friendly staff, definitely worth checking out for lunch.

We recently moved to this area from Central London and we are so pleased to find this gem nearby. We like the shop, authentic Italian products to buy (ie the excellent guanciale), as well as the lovely customer service.

Best deli in london, every time I order there it never disappoints, amazing coffee and lovely staff.

First time in this charming little place. Just needed 2 drinks to take away . They have a quiet little place at the back to sit but didnt have time. Whilst there are a few things that are not for me they sell a bit of everything from crossiants and small cakes to sandwhiches made to order. I m not sure how they fair with vegan alternatives so best to check with them. If you're into your football they may have the match on tv. Whenever I may pass through the area I ll grab something form there

Absolutely amazing panini’s with the best cheeses and cured meats. I’ve come here many times for their lovely paninis but also to buy ingredients for my own cooking like njuda, burrata and various pieces . La Gastronomia is a great place to live nearby. Staff are also super friendly .

I have been a regular customer for a few years.. Not cheap but a very good range of good quality Italian foods and ingredients. Knowledgeable staff is a big bonus.

I was in La Gastronomia on 14 March and somehow I lost 2 gold rings, of some great sentimental value. Imagine my delight when I had a phone call today, one of the lovely guys there had found my rings out in the garden area. I am so grateful, please support this wonderful deli/cafe - coffee and food are 5 star too. Thank you

My brother has been raving about the paninis for years and I really enjoyed mine! They have a wide range of combinations available or the workers are extremely accommodating to other combinations as well.

An authentic bit of Italy in West Dulwich. Perfetto.

I’ve been visiting la gastronomia for many years & have always found it to be pleasant, however, today, with the covid infections rising so quickly again, I was concerned that the waiter & waitress who served us were wearing their masks under their chins. I spoke to the manager, who was nothing short of rude, he said it was too hot to wear the masks all day. I tried to speak but he wouldn’t listen, just repeated it was too hot to wear masks. It’s probably a lot more uncomfortable in an ICU bed being given oxygen to help you breathe! Shows complete lack of concern, respect or care for his customers. Voting with my feet, I won’t be going back.

We ordered a couple of salads and then sat outside in the seating area. We waited over forty minutes for our order to arrive. We asked when would our food arrive and they had forgotten our order so we left as had an appointment to go to.

Better than the more famous Soho delis. All the stuff you'd expect: Cheeses, meats, flours, olives, wine, sausages. Pastries and sandwiches. Coffee. Take a credit card with a good limit on it because you'll want to buy a lot. Have some sfogliatelle.

Awful experience. Went there to have a Sandwhich and than spoke to a man and wanted to see if I can help them out with (work related as I work with over 500 places). He asked me what I wanted in a rude way as well as when trying to say the first word out, he told me the exact words "Piss off". I respect the fact that it was his place and walked out and went to meet my friends somewhere else as he made me feel very uncomfortable. La gastronomía dedicada ha sido en W. Dulwich durante tanto tiempo que he cambiado 3 veces, pero siempre visitar o desvío especialmente algún día - en mis viajes a tener por lo menos un café. En la tienda: fantástico ingredientes italianos alrededor; estantes llenos con pastas de alta clase, vinos, aceites, vinagres balsámicos, galletitas. . . todo! De primera clase, con conocimiento barra por detrás del mostrador para darle alguna orientación si es necesario. Más recientemente, el ciabatta tostado selección es el mejor aperitivo brunch que conozco. Que hacer un gran esfuerzo en Navidad y Semana Santa, con decoración de la comida. Zona de la parte de atrás es de mesas para café y comer en el hotel, y descubrir su pequeño fuera en los días de mucho calor, casi invisible desde la tienda. Gente agradable, tienda precioso, producir! . . . Buen espresso sirve., naturalmente - belissimo!

Coffeé okay, not brilliant. Why is it that Italian Coffeé shops come delis can make decent coffins? Deli part better than most, good food.Sandwichs made to order not standing in the windows sll dsy curling under the heat.

At almost a tenner for a goats cheese and pepper salad i expect to get some goats cheese and peppers in my salad. I come here a lot and the girls are great but try not to get either of the guys. When I asked for a bit more I got a huffy reply. I will not be returning.

Now this is the very definition of what a great deli should be. I used to come here from when i was a teen and Ivano was young. Now I'm hitting 40 and Ivano...still looks young. I guess the secret to longer life is a Mediterranean diet. Anyway their food is fab and this is my go to place for cheese. Oh and by the way thanks Ivano for extending me a line of credit wheni was a teen and didn't have enough money for my sandwiches!

A real taste of Italy, superb deli, cheese counter is to die for. Ciabatta toasted sandwiches are so good. This deli is a cut above the rest in the area.

I live close by, and have eaten there on a few occasions, use mainly for the wonderful deli counter, excellent selection of Italian food, try the Tuscan sausage to cook at home, best Parmesan cheese, always service with a smile and nothing appears to be to much trouble.
