The best restaurants serving Italian food in Grove Kingston upon Thames London

Amazing sandwiches and coffee! Expensive at first sight, but packed with delicious ingredients and enough for two! Well worth a visit.

I recently ordered a custom food parcel from Orindi Deli to send to my friends who just had a baby. Daniela made the entire process so simple and smooth. (all through email as I'm abroad). She went above and beyond to create a thoughtful, well-curated parcel of goods for the new parents with lots of lovely, personal touches. Highly recommend!

The garlic bread was as good as any I have ever tasted and the black spaghetti with king prawns, up to the standard I would expect in a high end Italian restaurant. The prices were reasonable for the high standard quality of food I had, plus the service and pleasant atmosphere/decor - just icing on the cake. Can't wait to go back there in the new year!

I had a very disappointing experience at this café this morning. The staff (or possibly the owner) was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of providing good customer service, he spoke in a rough and impolite manner, even blaming customers over paying issues. His attitude was completely unacceptable, making for an unpleasant visit. I would not recommend this place at all and believe it should be avoided.

Update 20/04/2025: First time back since moving to the countryside and out of Kingston. Pleased to say that not only has the restaurant had a touch-up inside, but everything that was great about this neighborhood institution is still fully intact. The food is fantastic, service is convivial and the atmosphere is as welcoming as I remember it. Definitely worth the 80 mile drive back to my old stomping grounds. ****** Regular for many years and this place remains a consistently reliable and enjoyable neighborhood gem. Food is delicious (especially the pizzas and Lamb Ragu Gnocchi) and the service is always friendly and attentive.

Really good food, just a shame the padded seating is looking tatty in places.

Abbey was wonderful re service. Bit to much dressing on Zucca salad. Calzone was ok …. chilly oil could be a little bit more potent. Otherwise nice lunch.

Food was great, compliments to the chef!! Simran was manager on shift and was absolutely amazing! 10/10 would definitely definitely recommend and will be going again!

Delicious Italian food in the center of London. I recommend it

Having been to the Carluccios in Richmond recently, the Bentall’s branch in Kingston felt like the poor cousin. The portion sizes of food were smaller and the staff serving were not attentive and kept trying to push add ins like a salad or bread. We were not enthralled and having been going there for years and years, it sadly is not how it used to be. The penne Giardinea, their signature dish, you have to find the courgette balls! Tiny and sparse. This used to be such an incredible dish.

In kingston PE. Lovely waitress called Saayeh was very nice and welcoming to me. All the staff here are incredibly friendly.
