We just had an amazing lunch at Browns - Kingston. It was a sunny and very busy day. Me and my friend walked away from another restaurant as they could not handle the queues etc At Brown's we felt welcomed since the minute we walked in. The food was fresh, well presented and really tasty. The staff went above and beyond to serve us in a timely manner and they were all very professional. We really had an amazing time. 4 star because the manager (blond lady) was quite abrupt, however all the other members of the staff made up for it. We will definitely come back again.

Had a great, classy experience on the Kingston Riverside. We started with the seafood platter – the shrimp and scallops were fresh and paired perfectly with a really nice tartare sauce. For mains, we went with the steak and peppercorn sauce. It had a few fatty and rough bits, but overall, it was a solid, satisfying dish. What really made the night though was our server, Vlad. Genuinely one of the best – super attentive, pleasant, and made sure we felt well looked after throughout. If we come back, I’ll definitely be hoping to be served by him again.

The service here is amazing but the food is next level bad. My beef Sunday roast was tough, overcooked, and rubbery and the pork Sunday roast gave my husband AWFUL food poisoning. Definitely won’t be going back, really disappointed, especially because the staff is so wonderful.

I came in for a harvester staff party with around 30 people, served by Vlad and he was absolutely AMAZING, very patient and went above and beyond for all of us. Thank you Vlad for giving us such a lovely evening!

So I’m currently dinning here, firstly let me say the service was slow, we sat down and staff hadn’t brought a menu over after about 10 minutes of being seated. We then moved inside because the outdoor is located under a tree. After moving inside it took a while for staff to take my order, I couldn’t even replace the red wine sauce with anything since I don’t consume alcohol, so I had to select something else. My food came and the seabass was bland and hardly skin side crisp, on a bed of vegetables. I didn’t finish the fish because of the blandness. Leaving still hungry

It's our first time dining here with my family. Food was delish except for my mocktail, it was meant to be a virgin mango mimosa, but gave us an alcoholic one.

Tasty food and good value for money, with the added benefit of having wonderful views because this branch of Browns is located on the river. Whilst all the staff at Browns Kingston are great, our server was Santos. He’s super friendly and really excellent at making you experience a personal service. In fact he’s the reason why you’ll most definitely want to return and dine at Browns again!

I had just arrived in Molesey and visited Kingston and Browns. I sat outside and ordered a large wine which wasn’t available sthe wine they gave was very good . However I ordered a second with Courgette fritters/chips ! The wine arrive but not the courgettes. The service outside seemed to be hit and miss which was a pity as I would not have sat outside!

I came here for lunch yesterday with my family and had a fantastic experience. We were served by Josh B, who was amazing and very friendly. 10/10 will come again.

This was our second time coming to Browns, however our experience was not quite the same as the first time. in our fist visit we had a fantastic service by Vlad, however the food was not anything special for the price paid. on second visit, we were 4 people, the service was so so, we were kept asked to order for main while we were still having drinks and snack. when at the end we felt forced to place the main meal order, and we did request the staff to have our meal a bit later so we could finish the drink and the snack, however they brought the food right after we placed the order! The food was again not worth the money. fries were cooked with an old oil, not fresh , same with the burgers , nothing special, the other foods , fish and lamb were not great either. It was a shame and it was not pleasant , hence we would not be back there, unfortunately.

Vlad was aces as our server. Food was tasty and the house Red went down well.

Lovely atmosphere in a great location. So we were a table of 7 and the staff were lovely and polite. We ordered 2 Sunday chicken roasts (£20 each), kids, grilled chicken, lobster linguine, prawn and chorizo linguine and sea bass fish cake. All at around £20 (lobster £30). The roast chicken was terrible at that price point, it was a boiled like un marinated chicken breast. Vegetables were unremarkable. The pasta all tasted the same, with no level of freshness or quality in line with the price. Sea bass was really poor and fish cake soggy and not enjoyable. Grilled chicken dry as a desert. Really really sad, as it detracts from the waiters and atmosphere. To put things into perspective they are at the price point of Cote down the road, delivering food to the standard or harvester. Shame as I can see the atmosphere close to the level of the Ivy in Windsor. Like some I will not be returning. Extra credit to Josh, great service/ lovely approachable and they took my feedback very seriously; which is exceptional!

The food and drink at Browns is always delicious but Vlad is truly their best ever waiter. He never lost his smile, patience and warmth as we asked for things off the menu and multiple glasses of ice. His service was exceptional and made lunch with my son very special. Thank you.

The very definition of a mediocre chain restaurant. I was shown to my table and noticed the all of the chairs had dirty, stained seats, like someone had, had their feet on them. Added to that I had to brush mine clean, not sure what it was, salt or worse. Whatever, it wasn’t a great start and things didn’t really improve after that. My first course was crab on toast. Whilst the “toast” was the warmest thing on the plate it was only because everything else was chilled, presumably having literally just come out of the fridge. The main was a dish of scallops and belly pork. The food was utterly bland with almost no taste and the pork was not only tasteless but dry. I decided to go for ice cream for dessert as I was confident it would come straight out of a tub. Service was about on par with the food. The first person could barely be bothered and gave up after the first course. The second person did at least to make an effort and to be fair was probably the best thing about the meal. Definitely a chain to avoid.

Absolutely adore this restaurant. Always attentive service and exceptional food. Great atmosphere and right on the river, which we will be moving to very soon, so Browns may be the firm favourite for breakfast too. 😊

Awful quality of food well over priced for what they offer ! Steak £31.50 not fresh chewy and dry! Monkfish curry very salty cocktails were nice service was ok not enough staff won’t be visiting again

We had an incredible Easter lunch here and truly enjoyed every moment. Josh B was an extremely attentive host he went above and beyond to make our time special here. Indeed there are a many wonderful staff members here who make dining here such a treat we have always had an amazing experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re made to feel genuinely welcomed and valued. The food was outstanding—so fresh, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. The live music added a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, and the service throughout was warm, attentive, and left us wanting for nothing. This might just be the nicest place to eat in Kingston if you’re looking for a special meal. For the price, the quality is excellent, and you really do leave feeling like you’ve had a real treat. Highly recommend!

Food and staff are always great here - super friendly. Their food is great and good portion sizes too - I would recommend their cod & chips which is lovely to eat if you’re outside (as you’re by the riverside anyway!). Prices are decent, too.

Visited on a perfect sunny spring day, the food was great!! Service was great, especially I must mention about Gina, she made our visit even more enjoyable. Loved the Sunday roast.

Table of 5 and every Sunday roast served luke warm. 3 sent back and 20 mins later served with new plates of food so we didn't eat together. Roast veg was putrid colour with no browning in the oven and beef like leather. Chosen deserts sold out. Custard had curdled, creme brulee like egg. Service staff couldn't fault with excellent customer service skills along with the manager. Given complimentary drinks and removed all costs for food from the bill. The chef is very very poor. Ruined a special afternoon of celebration. Will never return.

First visit to Brown's today, very impressed. Husband had the vegetarian breakfast and I had Eggs Florentine. Both tasty and hot, good portions and superb service, especially from our wonderful waiter, Santos. Will be back for dinner very soon!

Honestly the food and customer service was OUTSTANDING!! We went for the lunch deal which was 3 courses for £24.95. Every single course was 10/10 I started with the duck which was melt in the mouth and my friend had the salmon and we both had the seabass for mains which was soooo delicious and then I had salted caramel profiteroles for desert which didn’t disappoint and honestly I could’ve had 4 more 😊 We can’t wait to come back and bring some more friends with us next time.

Delicious scallops and pork with excellent service!

I've been to the restaurant a few times and each time has been lovely.

Lunch for 4 friends. Been here many, many times so thought this would be a safe choice. Took a while for service and drinks but we're a happy bunch and busy catching up. Starters arrive... Calamari was room tempreture, not even luke warm, the prawn cocktail was made with shrimps and way too much mayonnaise which I'm assuming is to deceive and bulk it out. The tomato and mozarella salad was OK. Literally as the empty plates were still being removed, 3 servers stood by to serve our mains. I stated it was too soon, we'd like a break plus we still have the table booked for another 2 hours. The waiters plonked the food down and meandered off. 5 minutes later, we are asked if everything is OK to which my friend said no, this (risotto) is inedible. OK good came the reply and walked off. It was at this point we asked to speak to someone as the Caeser Salads were also in inedible. Bright yellow/brown leaves, clearly past their prime. The manager took one look and apologised, said that there are issues with the new menu. Offered replacements for us all but tbh we wanted out. She offered us free desserts. Sherry trifle, no sherry, amaretto peaches, no amaretto.. An absolute disaster. A complimentary round of drinks was offered and again more apologies. We left and sadly will never return which is a great shame as we love the location but there are better restaurants to explore.
