This is a lovely pizza express, great decor atmosphere and staff. However I do feel that the quality of the pizzas has gone downhill. I have always had an American Pizza but not been in for a few years. There was barely any pepperoni on this Pizza so not surprising that the great taste was no longer there. My husband had a split Pizza with 2 toppings and he said similar. Really nowhere near as good as the pizzas from our local pub! Having said all that the doughballs were delicious, no change there. My bellini spritz was also good.

Good pizzas and ideal for dining with a family. There is almost always an offer so check the website or download the app whilst you are dining. Sometimes they are very busy taking online orders so it can take a while for food to arrive so not a good place to go if you are in a rush

Pizza Express is always a decent choice. The New Malden branch is bright and airy, the staff friendly and the food is what we all know and love.

Order from this restaurant for delivery. Really disappointing and won’t be doing it again. Food did arrive quickly after order and delivery seemed quick but despite me only living a two minute walk from the restaurant (and it was delivered by cycle) the food was all cold. Had to reheat the pizza which of course made it soggy, we had ordered the crispy romana style… so that was disappointing. Ordered a double portion of dough balls which came with enough dip for 2 balls… not 16. Did receive a response to my complaint within 24 hours…. 2 free starters… as a rewards member there’s always a free wide or starter available in my App anyway so not happy with their response. May dine in again in future but definitely wont be getting takeaway.

We walked in on a quiet day so the atmosphere was peaceful. For starters we had dough balls and a Bruschetta. The dough balls arrived hot from the oven with delicious garlic butter. The Bruschetta was also delicious. The pizza was so good with the perfect amount of cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I forgot to take a picture of my Sundae because I was too busy enjoying it. The service was great and I hope to go again soon. I would recommend this branch to everyone.

What a wonderful experience. We have been to many different pizza express’ over the years, and this is the second time we’ve come here and both times we couldn’t have had a more enjoyable meal. There was 6 of us (including 3 under 5yr olds) the staff were brilliant. Super accommodating, very interactive with the kids and offered great customer service. The food was great, and brought to the table nice and quickly which were always desperate for with the kids. The menu is really well suited for smaller ones. Would 100% recommend and we we’ll definitely be coming here again. Thanks so much for a lovely family evening.

Pizza Express New Malden has always been amazing. We had our son’s 5th birthday party there and he loved it. He’s now 9 and still remembers how great it was. Special mention to Cristina who served us today who taught us how to pronounce funghi😄. Would definitely recommend.

I'm not fan of Italian food really bread and melted cheese, simple not for good , waste of money and time, But good service nice guys and girls working there🙌

Always good food, generally good service and nice atmosphere. Can get a bit loud but if you book at a quieter time it's not so bad. Voucher situations can be tricky, I find they usually have a promotion but it's not always so simple at the till. Generally the waiting staff are lovely, the current manager could give us a smile to lighten the atmosphere. Facilities are decent. A nice professional space in dreary New Malden lol!

The focus of the restaurant was on take away orders. In store customers like me were waiting for ages to get served and me and family lost our appetite by the time food arrived. The manager was unable to manage the supply of orders coming in and was very rude to me on why orders were taking so much time. If the focus is on take away orders they should just close the restaurant. Why spoil a good evening for me and my family when you can’t manage your priorities.

Average service, no atmosphere. No goodbye when we left. Won't be visiting again.

Really prompt service on arrival but less throughout the meal. But I'm nit-picking. The drinks came quickly and when we wanted to order we could quickly flag someone down. When we arrived around 7pm it was quite busy but then settled down and was a lot calmer. We had a booth, which was special and I really liked that! For mains, I had the Bosco salad which I thought was very tasty and my bf had the pasta which he ate about half the time it took for me to finish my salad so it must have been good. Raspberry sorbet for dessert was delightfully sweet and zingy and bf enjoyed his cheesecake (again, gone surprisingly quickly). Overall, a nice casual date night.

Christina was is always so welcoming, kind, patient and professional. She has a lovley energy. The food was also wonderful. Great vegan options.

I had a lovely meal here today. The staff were brilliant it was a friendly environment. I would definitely recommend it for my next meal out with friends and family.

We had a small family gathering with a local am dram member between performances and needed exactly what we got, a delicious pizza with timely service. We’ll definitely return to this branch of Pizza Express

I haven't been to pizza express for a few years as I felt the quality had gone down hill but went for a freinds birthday to the New Malden branch. I was very impressed by how much it has improved since I last went. The service was brilliant and been able to split the bill/take advantage of the offers via the app was very easy and convenient. Of course most importantly was the food, the food was superb & the beer nice and cold! Toilets also spotless too! I have since had take away from this branch (sometimes I even get the children's menu for lunch and all these have been great too!) Five stars form me!

Annoyed by ordering a pizza (leggera Quattro ) which had a hollow space in the middle with few leaves. It’s 14.45 pounds ! Not really worth.

I am usually very satisfied with this branch but unfortunately today they cancelled an entire deliveroo order because they did not have one item. This clearly does not make any sense at all other than perhaps the order was too small at £34. My phone lit up with calls from deliveroo staying that the order had been cancelled and were unable to explain why Pizza Express had done this for the sake of a cake. The restaurant did not bother to call me. I would not visit this restaurant or order again via deliveroo. Over the years I have probably spent a fortune in Pizza Express all over the UK but wont going forward. Franco Manca have just delivered a smaller order ontime.

Unable to give a lower star. Staff were rude and unwelcoming. The menus were thrown on the table as though we were a huge inconvenience for them. When the food came out, the pre made cannelloni had been heated in the microwave for far too long it was burnt and the ricotta had split. When I raised this with the, obviously new and untrained waiter, he made no offer of rectification but just stared at me blankly. I asked to see his colleague but he told me that he was handling the situation, took my plate and left. I then watched him (without clean hands) cut and handle pizza into the take Out boxes for other paying customers. I cannot tell you the amateur and potential dangerous manor in which New Malden is running their store. For such a huge organization, they really should not be slipping so terribly.. it’s embarrassing. Environmental Agency need to swing by to see for themselves.

We went to pizza express on grandma’s birthday. This is our best dine in experience so far we had in the UK. The staff were friendly and helpful. 5 adult and a 2 years old kid enjoyed our time here. My son got to make his pizza! He ate 2 pieces of his product. He is happy and satisfied, so do we. Thank you! I think the duck pizza is a must have if you enjoy Asian flavors.

Unfortunatlly i don't think this was their night. Placed an order through deliveroo and not only did everything arrive stone cold (roughly taking an hour and half to get to us). 1 pizza was bacially raw and the other just a little more cooked than that. You can't eat the calamari. Luckily we ordered salads but we can't eat most of the order. It's a total waste of money and a real disapointment.

It’s a chain. but I dunno how they make the best lasagnas. Been to all the proper ‘italian’ places but still can’t beat the good ‘ol pizza express factory produced lasagna. I love it .whether u r in Bangor , Liverpool , or London. It’s consistently good

Waited age’s for service in a quiet restaurant three members of staff serving one table, finally come to us and insisted all we could eat was what was chosen for us, as in a small pizza limited toppings 6inch with a sneer as though we couldn’t afford a larger one I ask for a vegetarian she says abruptly they are marked with a V. I choose one she says that’s 14 inch I say it’s too big and I’d like thin crust she says they don’t do anything smaller than 14 inch in vegetarian so I say I think we might have to go somewhere else so she storms off how rude!

Was nice and catered for a big party with loads of pizzas to share.

I called in to pizza express New Malden to make a reservation for a Booth at 6pm 4 days beforehand for a my sons Birthday the lady was was very nice and said that the booking had been made and she will see me on Thursday at 6. When we arrived we were told that they could not find a reservation for a Booth and told us to sit somewhere else and start our meal and when a Booth came available they would move us . We have chosen to wait on a bench out side as moving while my family are eating is not the Dining experience we had hoped for.!!

We had a late lunch with friends. Around 2pm. It was quite !!! The restaurant was clean and nice staff. Very friendly!!! Food was fresh! We had two pizzas with salad and dough ball. And kids meal! We had a great time👍👍 we will be back.

Not impressed with the new menu at pizza express. They have taken off giardiniera pizza which is a classic vegetarian. That left me rather undecided as there was either meat pizzas or rather unappetising ones like margarita. Not impressed! Not sure I will bother in the future.

Great place to visit! Especially with a taste card as everything is 2 for 1. The starters are great, the mains are great and so are the desserts. Wide range or food for vegetarians and vegans. Make sure to visit from Sunday to Thursday to be able to us the taste card. Quite pricey without the discount.

Food review - Pizza Express - 2 out of 5 Starters - Calamri burnt and the burnt parts were covered by hiding it in the server pot. Chicken Wings felt like it came out of a microwave or blast oven. No care in the food. Mains - Both pizzas had a very crispy style of crust which could work but unfortunately the middle of the pizza was soggy and very oily on both pizzas. Disappointed with the whole meal so avoided dessert. 2 stars as the staff were polite.

We went to this branch rather than our local which is often cold and empty.Normally the staff are welcoming. The coffee is good and pizzas very good. Today it was as if the zombie apocalypse had invaded the staff. The new system of tracking you on the menu card is very confusing. You do this and you still have to attract staff to take the order and they still then have to enter into the till so why the Qr it can only be track and trace. After we had laboriously entered on the phone we then had to get attention of the staff. There were 7 in this small venue with very managed numbers and it took 10 minutes and me waving at them to get any attention at all. Then the manager came over and she was so rude no apology. Brought me the wrong coffee. My daughter has a milk allergy and the woman taking the order was so rude and she did not write it down so she wanted recheck about soya milk and got a very curt reply. Not good enough have some training in customer relations. The food took ages. We were promised artichokes - on my daughters pizza forgotten. No lemon in the drinking water. Altogether a very bad experience and not one that makes you want to return. Post Covid Lockdown my attitude is these places need to pull all the stops to get us in. Well this place failed on every single level.

All the staff here are very helpful and professional in the service they provide. My daughter is pescatarian, they were very helpful with options for her to eat. Clean restaurant (good air conditioning). A well run branch. Thank you.

reasonable pizzas, the spaghetti bolognese is atrocious and of course the menu is way overpriced

We’ve eaten at Pizza Expresses before, and this one was probably a notch up from some others. The range of pizzas were good and the modern decor nice, warm and spacious. The prices were a little much, I felt, but the service was good, even if by the waitress gave me a glass of sav blanc instead of cab sav.

Nice place for a pizza with family

Went to Pizza Express with a few friends in the evening. Greeted immediately & sat at a nice table. I ordered the prawn N’duja as a starter which was really tasty & came with 4 dough balls. The La Reine pizza followed which was cooked to perfection & Tiramisu for dessert (yummy). A nice Peroni was had along the way. A great night out with lovely food.

Really enjoyed our visit this evening. The food was great and arrived quickly. Our server Tomasz was lovely, served us with a smile, was perfectly attentive and professional throughout. I don’t normally leave reviews but felt he deserved a mention as another party arrived after us and treated him appallingly. After being sworn at for not allowing them to use more than one voucher per table (doing his job) he remained polite and calm. One of the women from this table, the one responsible for being abusive, then complained to the manager about him being rude. I’ve dropped one star off purely as the manager apologised to the customer and didn’t back up her staff member. Considering this customer threatened to “knock his teeth out” she should have been removed. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable at work by anyone throwing a paddy for not getting their own way. So thank you Tomasz!

It was first time to get cold pizza in the restaurant whole my life. I will never even revisit pizza express any more. The family dinner was broken because of pizza express.

This is a great place to eat, as usual and as part of a chain I've found every restaurant equally as good. They serve great tasty food - pizzas, pasta & salads. There is also good drinks selection and the desserts here are to die for - if only I hadn't eaten so much of my main, so they have great portion sizes too with no real need for starters unless you've not eaten for a few days. I absolutely love the mini desserts idea that come with a hot drink. It means you can have a little taste of something sweet and not feel too guilty.

possibly the worst I’ve been treated - the manager publicly shouted at me, when I’d asked for her to explain the reasoning behind not letting me use a Tesco Club Card voucher and as a teenager I felt so powerless I ended up leaving the restaurant in tears

Nice pizza express with open windows to the high street. Really good gluten free support (all pizzas and pasta from the menu can be GF). Nice friendly service that are great with kids.

We've come here many times and it always seems to be missing that extra spark, in terms of both the service and food itself +: -Decent prices if you have a voucher -Caters well for vegans, veggies and coeliacs -Food arrives quickly most of the time -: -The service is very poor, they're often inattentive and disappear so if you need anything then you have to go up and find someone -Quite small portions if you order anything apart from the pizza -Overheard the staff swearing at each other in full public view -Overpriced for what it is if you don't have a voucher

Great food, needs cs improvements

Typical pizza express menu. I had garlic bread with mozzarella to start, followed by lasagna. Both hot and tasty. Felt the lasagna could have been bigger. I also had to ask for parmesan. All enjoyed our food. Disappointing to see a large service charge added without prior warning.

Nicely laid out branch with smiley staff. My Leggera Pollo des Astra was lovely, would have preferred a plate to a slate board it was served on as means pizza would stay warmer longer. That is my only negative to what was a very pleasant Saturday lunch with my daughter. Food, staff and decor all very good.

Order taken by waiter who seemed to have mind on other things. Waiter took order then came back and forgot what starters we ordered so had to take again. When the starters came they were the wrong ones. Waited twenty minutes for replacements. Mains took another twenty five minutes to come. Pizza was burnt on edges and under cooked in middle and bolognese was lacking in meat and taste. Wont be rushing back

Come here many times for work lunches, can be very hit and miss with staff service. We were lucky to have a great waitress, another table, not so lucky who proceeded to complain at their waiter right next to our table for quite some time, the waiter not thinking to move away from us.
