First time visiting Pizza Express in the Kingston area and giving 5 stars for service. Staff member Greg was super friendly and helpful, and probably gave the best customer service hospitality I've ever experienced in any restaurant in Kingston. Hope other restaurants can meet these standards 👍🏼 the small efforts are much appreciated

Great service, in particular from Greg! Not overly busy for a Saturday lunch time which meant food came out in good time and was it’s usually decent standard.

What has happened to this branch, been coming here for years with our local community, school friends etc the previous manager and staff were so nice. Complained to the manager Julie regarding our starters being 30 minutes late who became aggressive with my wife, had threatened us with “if you complain will not give you discount, why do you come here if you complain, the kitchen was running late what can I do. At one point I wondered if Julia was going to throw food over my wife, so unprofessional, rude and aggressive, ruined my children’s Easter Monday meal out. Is this what Pizza Express Kingston has become no longer able to serve the local community!? Should be ashamed, reading the reviews here it seems this manager has caused lots of issues for diners.

Oh dear what has happened to pizza express in Kingston - used to be a great place to stop off before cinema for a lovely pizza! Slow welcome / very slow service - took 45 minutes to receive our pizzas then one pizza not just wasn’t cooked in the middle so couldn’t eat it and couldn’t find anyone to tell to amend it for 10 mins by that time gave up and asked for that one to be out back in the oven …but see pic was still inedible. Also lots of dirty crockery on 3 thanked next to us the whole time we were there! Very Offputting like sitting in a disorganised kitchen surrounded by washing up really. I refused to pay for the pizza as couldn’t eat it - no apology forthcoming. Don’t just bother replying to email separately. Explain why you couldn’t diet this out on the day when it occurred please. Very disappointing indeed. I think they are very understaffed or the staff are just not trained properly how to organise themselves - there seemed to be a lot of anxious running around and ignoring the customers as others were complaining too. Not sure Why we would go back there? Explain here please? UPDATE: as per request from Pizza Express kingston I emailed them a few weeks ago, still no reply from them. Disappointing.

Booked a table for two at. 4pm last Friday. On arrival no one was at the front desk; took 5 mins for us to finally get offered a table Took another 15mins before someone took our order. Another 15mins for our drinks to arrive. Our food finally arrived 4:50pm (one pizza each and a salad). My pizza was fine but my wife’s was soggy in the middle. The waitress didn’t charge for my wife’s pizza after she complained. It felt like they are either understaffed or badly organised. There were six tables next to us full of dirty plates, glasses, paper etc which didn’t get cleaned the whole time we were there. UPDATE: I emailed kingston2.manager as asked below and never heard from them. Make of that as you will.

I am a huge pizza express fan, I have been for years, I had a table booked for this evening and when I arrived, I was greeted by a straight faced, emotionless member of the waiting staff. She was very rude and didn't escort me to my table, she just shrugged me off without a care. For the remainder of my dinning she continued to act as if she didn't want to be there. Slight attitude. Very disappointed

Very good food, great service, clean place. Nice views and light and airy. Do get the loyalty app , cheaper and nice freebies. I had the splendid Strawberry Sicilian Still lemonade, made of course with Sicilian lemons. And my favourite dessert, sweet baby figs in white wine and a touch of cinnamon and mascarpone with a coffee.

I go to Pizza Express all the time with the kids and it’s always pretty decent. However this one was terrible the kids meals are batch cooked so the dough balls were cold & rock hard. My beer was luke warm & got third degree burns from the burning bright spotlights directly above all the tables. The service was fine but that was the best bit the kids ice cream was melted as I guess they do the same thing as the dough balls. Overall definitely avoid

Been here a few times with friends. Its definitely a busy restaurant and I would advise anyone to book. You get a lot of kids parties here. I think there was 4 groups/parties the night we went. So the restaurant is loud. I feel this place needs more staff or can do front of house as you are kept waiting at the front door quite a while. It seems like the job of one person but he also has a million other jobs too. Apart from that service is good. Food is good and hot. Reasonably priced and you can use tesco vouchers to pay. 👍

We went to Pizza Express at Kingston Rotunda today for the first time and it was a special occasion, as we celebrated our little one's birthday along with her friends. We were given the chance to preorder the food choices, a fantastic idea when you're dealing with kids because this will give you time to relax and focus on the party :) The kids' favourite have been the dough balls with garlic butter and the sundae, they really quickly disappeared just after arriving at the table! Not only did we have plenty of time to eat (from both kids and grown ups' menu!) but, we must say that, we had the most attentive and committed staff around (we didn't ask for her name, shame on us but, Young Lady with blue eyes, you were absolutely a STAR!) We also got everyone joining in singing Happy Birthday songs and, what else could we ask for? Our daughter was over the moon! Needless to say, it's a five star service for us and we will definitely come back soon :) Well done to all of you guys, you are absolutely the best and made our day memorable!

I came here with a friend after seeing a film at the Kingston Odeon as this is in the same complex - indeed, it is just opposite, so the location of this restaurant is perfect for either just before or after going to the cinema. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and well-furbished, and there are crayons, etc for children. We popped in for a drink and a snack and were served by a charming girl called Dorota who was both efficient and friendly. She also pointed out that if you download the Pizza Express app you have regular free offers, and she was very helpful in assisting me set this up. As a result, we not only had drinks (the strawberry Sicilian lemonade is delicious and thirst-quenching) and tasty desserts, plus also some free dough balls! I do recommend the app if you are planning a visit - after all, who doesn't like a freebie? A very enjoyable visit and I shall definitely return.

Five thirteen year old boys for a birthday lunch. Many thanks to Dorothy for lovely service. She was very accommodating and helped the boys have a lovely time. Food came promptly and was perfect for them. The staff sang happy birthday and put a candle in dessert. All in all a great visit, thanks Dorothy, your service made a big difference.

Hi the food was nice and good. But when I was there with my friends, we ordered are food and towards the end when getting the check, it was not broken down in orders item. Some of the items on the check was merged and we found it hard to add it up the total, the waiter for me felt impatient and went on to serve other customers while we tried to figure it out. But when he got back, he just seemed really annoyed and had a tone. I don't want to be picking small details but it just felt all rushed we were entering random amount as we felt rushed and he, was just not patient. Especially when we all have disabilities and find it hard to work under pressure, and calculate the check at which different items were merged, which didn't help paying for our own meals. Food 5 Star Service 2 and atmosphere 4

I love every pizza express I’ve been in, but we went in here today and the amount of screaming children having kids parties ruined our meal. I’m not usually a complainer and staff were wonderful , but the amount of 3+ tables housing 10+ screaming kids ruined the experience for me. I could not hear who I was with to have a conversation and I think if you’re going to let kids in, there should be an area for adults only to enjoy their meal without it spoiling it when we are paying good money to have an enjoyable experience. The pizza also came out looking like a DIY kids size pizza when any pizza express i’ve been to usually comes out looking really nice and properly done. Please think about your customers when seating loud children!

Tasty as always - it is a Pizza Express! Let down by a slightly slow service but need to take the fact it was a Friday Night into consideration.

We were here for a film so arrived early (6pm) when the restaurant was fairly empty. We both had Romana pizzas which took about 15-20 minutes to arrive and had clearly been sitting on the counter for at least 5 minutes but they were crispy and typically Pizza Express. We also had coleslaw but remembered, too late, that we don't like their dressing. Drinks took a while to come. Service was friendly but, the place filled up over the next hour and they were clearly understaffed. Had to wait over 10 minutes for our bill.

This was the most accommodating, friendly, and thoughtful Pizza Express we've been to - It was my daughter's 3rd b'day party where the staff, although busy, we always happy to help - Even the manager, Gregg, after noticing my children/Wife spoke Polish, told us he'd sing Happy Birthday in Polish - They went to extra mile to make our experience as pleasant as possible - We will definitely go back!

I had the pleasure of dining at Pizza Express Rotunda on September 13th and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service. Our waiter, Neda, was attentive, friendly, and ensured our experience was top-notch. The food was delicious as always, but it was Neda's dedication and warm hospitality that truly stood out. Will definitely be returning and hope to be served by her again. Highly recommend!

We had a nice family gathering at this pizza express which we always visit, the rotunda brunch never lets you down. Always the staff have a great level of professionalism and they are always organised. Malwina serves us the majority of our visits and this time again, she is always incredibly warm, caring very quick and always makes us feel very comfortable. Rotunda is a guarantee of enjoyment, good food and service.

Very friendly staff, excellent service. Accommodated me and my family in the best way possible. Very patient with our orders and understanding of our dietary restrictions. Food was top notch and probably some of the best pizzas we’ve had from pizza express along the years. Highlight of our visit was the service we received from Siyeon.

the worst experience in a restaurant ever, if i could give 0 stars on service i would. we were ignored for 45 mins trying to get the staffs attention which had felt like they were avoiding us, then finally we had got the attention of one waitress who had the worst attitude ever. she was extremely rude for absolutely no reason when all we wanted to do was order after waiting for so long. the food was good so nothing wrong with the kitchen side but the service was terrible. clearly the lady who i think was the manager needs to be fired as she said nothing to us as well as one of the waitress's.

This is the second time I've been to this particular Pizza Express, and both times it was good. This time around, I was testing whether they would accept Tesco Clubcard vouchers (as some restaurants like Zizzi often say they do, but they don't in some restaurants). I went at lunch on a Sunday, which is often one of the days excluded from these kinds of deals, and this Pizza Express does accept Tesco Vouchers. The name escapes me, but we ordered the pulled pork pizza, with a Rosemary Chicken Goujon starter as a side dish. The pulled pork pizza was by far the best pizza option I've tried from any Pizza express before. I'd definitely recommend the chicken goujons too, as well as, the Bruschetta which I've had on multiple occasions before. Service was quick and friendly, although it was fairly quiet at the time. The Rotunda is a nice place to sit and eat too.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and menu choices. The service is a little hit and miss, but most staff are very friendly and attentive. I ordered the nduja calzone which was tasty and not too spicy. Kids were happy with their pizza/pasta options but especially the ice cream sundae dessert!

What a great experience we had with my friends. Quick and so friendly service from Sana( I think that is her name) My carbonara was just perfect. Absolutely recommend!!!!

Didn't have a booking. Explained we didn't have long. Ended up having to leave without our mains arriving. Being told they were in the oven when I had already chased once and held my hand up for ages to attract the servers attention. Like some many places not enough staff to cope with the busy periods. Shame, however he did comp our starter. Also sat in a bunket for two. It was so small, I ended up sitting with my legs on one side as I couldn't put my feet in.

My girlfriend and I went out for dinner and were greeted by Peter. He was able to have a laugh upon arrival which was welcoming and found us a table without a booking. He even came back to take our drinks order as we were still waiting to do so from a waiter/waitress. I was downloading the Pizza Express app as you got free doughballs by doing so, which he was very helpful with setting up too, however, another staff member placed two through (us thinking it would be one each), but it appeared that it was not, and we would be expected to pay for the other one. Thankfully, after speaking to Peter about this, he understood the confusion and instantly removed it from our bill. It turns out as we were leaving and speaking to Peter, that he was in fact the manager. So, I would like to commend him as he is doing a fantastic job. Thank you.

Had my daughters 11th birthday party at the Rotunda Kingston branch. It was perfect. And it was made all the better by the fantastic Greg, who was one of the best servers we’ve ever had!

Good pizza 👍🏽 The cheese was tasty, but lacked some stringiness. The tomato sauce was delicious and good amount! I had the thin crust and although we dined in, the last slice was a bit chewy and stale. There was lovely fragrant basil and the meat was excellent! If I come again I would try the classic pizza (rather than thin). We also had the garlic balls, which were very nice, but I wish they were more garlicky.

unbelievably rude staff. I'm lucky they didn't throw anything into our heads, let alone helping. I went there with my 2 kids. If it weren't for the kids, I wouldn't stay a minute. I think there is a woman in charge of the place. she hates people she. and a female waitress does nothing but tell us to wait. It was the slowest and worst service I've ever had in my life. I think these two women should work somewhere like a warehouse

Far from pizza express quality. I guess the lady in charge of the place hates customers. I'm not sure if she's going to beat me or told to wait in line. Service was incredibly slow. Having this woman in this place is a very bad choice for pizza express.

Me and my partner dined in yesterday for dinner on the 15th of March. The food was amazing as It usually is from here, one of the problems was that as we walked in we were stared at and left alone for at least 5 minutes until someone else eventually came up to us to tell us to seat ourselves. Then we continued to waited 20 minutes before anyone came up and asked for our order, forgetting to get our drinks order. I wanted to take my pizza home as i didnt finish it but no one came up to the table to clear anything until we left cause we were fed up of waiting. I'm not sure if the staff were having a bad day or they just wanted us to leave but I felt like they wanted us to leave.

Visited back in 2021 for a meal with a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Staff friendly and attentive, food arrived in good time and freshly made to order.

Food took way too long and one of the waiters were particularly disrespectful. Got spoken to so rudely and was completely ignored when we were standing waiting at the front. Very disappointed with the service, will definitely not be coming back.

Very slow and unprofessional service. We were sitting for 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Ended up leaving as we didn’t even get to order drinks let alone food. Very unhappy. Was looking forward to their food but we were clearly forgotten about.

Came in with 3 of my friends, got seated within a few minutes of arriving, however sat for 20 minutes without the waitress taking a single notice to us. We tried to signal her over but she would look right in our direction and walk away. Disappointed as we were looking forward to the food as it is normally good.

Food poisoning!! Had been to the restaurant yesterday for dinner with my 7 year old kid. She ordered the bolognaise pasta from the kid’s menu. The whole of yesterday night, she was vomiting and it was clear that the bolognaise was not well prepared and she didn’t even finish it yesterday as she found the taste was poor after eating some. So really disappointed. The manager who served us was very polite, but the initial waitress was showing attitude when we requested a seat. Will not be visiting this restaurant again.

On Saturday my daughter had a birthday party there and we absolutely loved it. Girls had amazing time, food was served quickly and our waiter Gregg was absolutely brilliant from the start to the finish. Especially when he brought a cake for my daughter and everyone was singing ,very well organised and definitely coming back. Thank you so much for such a amazing afternoon. Well done Gregg!!!! 👏

I normally come here after going to the women’s football at Kingsmeadow. Will defo return, staff are friendly and food is always really good :)

It was a birthday meal for my daughter and her friends. Gregg (from Poland) looked after us.He made a difference. He put a lot of effort into making the day a special one for the birthday girl and her friends. Nothing was too much trouble for Gregg. He made sure everything was perfect and did it with a warm smile and a sense of humour. To be fair all the staff were friendly and helpful. To top it off the food was prepared quickly, accurately and tasted really good. So to sum it it up - we had a great experience, our daughter had a lovely birthday and it was Gregg that (literally) was the icing on the cake.

Today my son and i took my 85year old Auntie to have a meal .The service was excellent .We had a lovely waitress called Miwina.She was very friendly and was very efficient.I throughly recommend this restaurant.The only downside was the noise .However this meant people were having a great time though We shall definitely come back .Happy New Year to all the staff.The pizzas were delicious too so light and full of flavour .

We had a great experience here. Firstly, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful - we were greeted by Greg the manager and, as the restaurant wasn't busy, he helped us by suggesting where the seats with the best view were. The waitresses were keen to help with the app and our food. the food was top-notch and Greg made sure my partner was enjoying her food and everything was satisfactory. great staff and food would recommend
