We had such an amazing waitress, I think her name is Marina, she was Polish with dark blonde hair and only works weekends. She was so kind and attentive, and I really feel she went out of her way for us despite how insanely busy the restaurant was. The thing that brought down the rating was that the food wasn't bad but not as good as usual, which is fair because it was super busy. The other major thing was how incredibly rude another waiter was, not sure of his name but he's a fairly big man with a buzz cut, as we followed out waitress in, he shouted at us to go back to the entrance because he wasn't finished cleaning the table yet. The problem isn't that he hadn't finished cleaning, but him shouting in such a rude tone at us made half the restaurant turn towards us, which was extremely embarrassing when all we were doing was following the waitress. She was obviously super kind and stepped in and told him that we didn't know, but if it wasn't for the kindness we received from Marina, we would've left. We understand that it's busy, but he could've asked Marina to take us back or come to us himself to tell us much more politely to wait at the entrance, rather than shouting so rudely.

As usual perfect pizza but made extra special as we had Marvina serving us. Best waitress ever, super fun and engaging. We will be back soon!

I visited on Sunday 2nd March and had an amazing experience. The food was perfect we all had pizzas. However what made the experience the best was the service. Our waitress was Dorota and she was so lovely as she made us feel warmed and welcomed and checked if all our food and drinks were good multiple times. Will definitely be coming back soon !

Greg the manager was absolutely amazing. He found us a table even though it was full (Saturday evening) and was so passionate about making guests feel welcome! There were a few kids birthday parties and he sang happy birthday each time with such gusto that he quickly engaged the entire restaurant. Three cheers to Greg the manager!

Greg and Kira were excellent waiters, they made sure we were well serviced. The food was better than any other restaurants in the Kingston area. The foo, atmosphere and service was a 10/10. A must visit with family and friends.

In the UK, I understand that orders can take some time, but this was excessively late. I made eye contact with a short-haired woman without glasses, signaling that I wanted to order, but she ignored me. Although there were plenty of staff present, none seemed interested in taking orders. It also took far too long just to make the payment.

We came here for lunch, at peak hour 1.30pm. We could see it was really crowded and really popular. There was a queue, and it took around 15 or 20mins to get a table. One of the staff kept checking on us and other groups too in the queue. After we got our table, it took some time before someone could come take our orders, but really it was understandable... the restaurant was a complete full house, and the 3 staff on duty were rushing around, even running, trying to get everything done non stop. They were really working very hard, and the man who was serving us kept apologising for the delays but really it was perfectly understandable. What impressed us was that he was so run off his feet, but could still have a smile, and was so charming and lovely to talk to. Food took a long time - again, perfectly understandable. And when it did arrive everything was perfect. The antipasti platter of appetizers was most excellent, with so many delicious things on it. The cheesy crispy flatbreads were a real highlight. The pizzas that we ordered were also perfect, and generous with toppings. In spite of the lunch rush, everything was made very well, and we had a very enjoyable meal indeed. Really great job to all the staff working today on this insanely busy day! And I hope other patrons can also see how hard and diligently they are working, and offer a bit more patience and understanding.

Visited yesterday with friends and atmosphere and food was ok but the service I recieved from a certain lady in perticlicular - Giulia was amazing so patient and showed she really cared for us you will be lucky to be served by her!

APPALLING SERVICE. We waited 20 minutes to be seated only for another group to be seated before us, despite us having a booking. Then we were seated at a mismatched table, waited 10 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink without ever being given a menu. The wait staff forgot 1 drink having to ask what had been ordered several times. Finally we got our drinks and were moved to a better table. After another 10 minutes we were asked for our food order before being rudely interrupted by another patron saying they hadn’t been served yet, in the middle of us ordering (we had been waiting longer?!). After an hour and a half since entering we were given our food which was fine but brought out 4/5 meals then the 5th 10 minutes after. We ordered pudding which was never brought out and after waiting for 15minutes we gave up paid and left. Totally unacceptable service, the ball was dropped so many times 1 star is honestly rating it higher than it deserves.

Friendly staff in clean and stylish restaurant. They always look after my family and I so I feel comfortable with kids.

We visited the restaurant again while shopping for Christmas and Kira greeted us warmly, she recommended Pollo Pesto and American Hot Pizza because we were undecided. The pizza was delicious and the pasta too. Service from Simram was professional and nice. The beautiful view from the window only made our time spent there more pleasant. I recommend

I recently visited Pizza Express, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Firstly, the cocktails we ordered came half full and were warm because they had run out of ice. For a restaurant, this is unacceptable and showed a lack of preparation. Secondly, one of our pizzas was missing a topping, but no one informed us beforehand. It was simply removed without any explanation or apology. This lack of communication was frustrating and unprofessional. Lastly, the garlic dough balls arrived cold and tough. They were clearly not fresh, which completely ruined one of the highlights of the menu. Overall, this visit fell well below expectations, and I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon.

Nice atmosphere, warm welcoming, delicious pizzas. We visited first time, our Padana Pizza was made to the perfection and Kyra was very friendly and professional she helped me to get Pizza Express app with great rewards and looked after us so well. Also I would like to mention that Julia was nice. Great time and food will be back soon with my family.

Lovely place,nice customer service and the best pizza in area. We visited before our cinema and we enjoyed the time and pizza was made to the perfection. We are vegan and we found extensive vegan menu. Also Kyra welcomed us warmly and served us professionally. We will he back soon!

I went to pizza express to take away some dough balls before me and my son go to movies . So I popped in for take away. Me and my son were waiting by the door and 2 staff passed by a few times and even made eye contact but they all ignored us and didn’t come to serve us until I was shouting to one of the waitress and saying excuse me for a few times and then she came to us. I asked her why nobody here seems to receive customers and she said she was cleaning the table. Her attitude was she didn’t care at all. I asked is this the way you treat other customers or just me? And she asked me do you want to talk to my manager? That was her response. I talked to the manager and my 12 years old son was complimented how he handled the situation because earlier he went to the staff and asked for someone to come to us. The manager said sorry for the under trained staff. It was very bad experience even though all we asked for was just a take away order. I suggest to not go dine there. There are always a few people who have a bad attitude that makes other people look bad. I feel sorry for the people who work there with them.

We normally go for a pizza after a film at the odeon. We’ve been about once a month for the past year and have always had a lovely tome here. The service is consistently awesome, I’ve worked in pubs a long time and I know how hard that is to do, but here the staff are always really lovely and friendly and welcoming. Thank you very much.

Pizza was burnt, long waiting times, whilst manager was polite certain members of staff were rude. Won’t be going again.

I love Pizza Express, especially the one in New Malden so I thought I would write a review for my more local one, Kingston. The food was exceptional (it was served hot and the bruschetta was the best it had been in a while),the service was spectacular and the atmosphere was quiet as we had arrived just after lunch rush hour. Overall, I highly recommend everyone to go to this amazing restaurant.

This is just a normal pizza express place. The food isn't extraordinary however it is good and it has been consistently served to the same standard every time. The restaurant always seems to be empty and so the staff are always happy to accommodate your seating preferences. Overall an enjoyable experience for pizza after the cinema with a nice view of Kingston from the 2nd floor of the Rotunda. Would come back again.

Myself and 2 grandchildren visited for Wednesday lunch. There were only 3 staff including the pizza chef. Service was very slow and pizzas overcooked almost to the point of being inedible. You expect a reasonable standard from this brand and this branch fell way below any acceptable level.

did click and collect for their carbonara. Absolutely awful. Served me in a tinfoil thing because they ran out of boxes and didn’t have any cutlery to give me so they gave me one of their metal forks. food good but NOT WORTH THE MONEY. £15.75 ABSOLUTE RIP OFF FOR WHAT I GOT

We have had slightly better food at other pizza express branches but we came to the rotunda as we were watching a movie. The food was still good though and the service was absolutely incredible. Beyond brilliant. So friendly and helpful and accommodating!!

Do not recommend, poor customer services ! Very slow and unprofessional workers. Ordered food and they bought us different item because the other was out of stock fancy telling us before we order ? Waited for the bill for 30 mins very slow and unprofessional do not recommend go to zizzis or Franco manca instead

I haven't been to pizza express for a while, but I was blown away with the food and service. I was too full to experience the dessert menu and opted for an expresso martini instead, and glad I did. It was like a glass of coffee ice cream

First time visiting Pizza Express in the Kingston area and giving 5 stars for service. Staff member Greg was super friendly and helpful, and probably gave the best customer service hospitality I've ever experienced in any restaurant in Kingston. Hope other restaurants can meet these standards 👍🏼 the small efforts are much appreciated

Great service, in particular from Greg! Not overly busy for a Saturday lunch time which meant food came out in good time and was it’s usually decent standard.

What has happened to this branch, been coming here for years with our local community, school friends etc the previous manager and staff were so nice. Complained to the manager Julie regarding our starters being 30 minutes late who became aggressive with my wife, had threatened us with “if you complain will not give you discount, why do you come here if you complain, the kitchen was running late what can I do. At one point I wondered if Julia was going to throw food over my wife, so unprofessional, rude and aggressive, ruined my children’s Easter Monday meal out. Is this what Pizza Express Kingston has become no longer able to serve the local community!? Should be ashamed, reading the reviews here it seems this manager has caused lots of issues for diners.

Oh dear what has happened to pizza express in Kingston - used to be a great place to stop off before cinema for a lovely pizza! Slow welcome / very slow service - took 45 minutes to receive our pizzas then one pizza not just wasn’t cooked in the middle so couldn’t eat it and couldn’t find anyone to tell to amend it for 10 mins by that time gave up and asked for that one to be out back in the oven …but see pic was still inedible. Also lots of dirty crockery on 3 thanked next to us the whole time we were there! Very Offputting like sitting in a disorganised kitchen surrounded by washing up really. I refused to pay for the pizza as couldn’t eat it - no apology forthcoming. Don’t just bother replying to email separately. Explain why you couldn’t diet this out on the day when it occurred please. Very disappointing indeed. I think they are very understaffed or the staff are just not trained properly how to organise themselves - there seemed to be a lot of anxious running around and ignoring the customers as others were complaining too. Not sure Why we would go back there? Explain here please? UPDATE: as per request from Pizza Express kingston I emailed them a few weeks ago, still no reply from them. Disappointing.

Booked a table for two at. 4pm last Friday. On arrival no one was at the front desk; took 5 mins for us to finally get offered a table Took another 15mins before someone took our order. Another 15mins for our drinks to arrive. Our food finally arrived 4:50pm (one pizza each and a salad). My pizza was fine but my wife’s was soggy in the middle. The waitress didn’t charge for my wife’s pizza after she complained. It felt like they are either understaffed or badly organised. There were six tables next to us full of dirty plates, glasses, paper etc which didn’t get cleaned the whole time we were there. UPDATE: I emailed kingston2.manager as asked below and never heard from them. Make of that as you will.

I am a huge pizza express fan, I have been for years, I had a table booked for this evening and when I arrived, I was greeted by a straight faced, emotionless member of the waiting staff. She was very rude and didn't escort me to my table, she just shrugged me off without a care. For the remainder of my dinning she continued to act as if she didn't want to be there. Slight attitude. Very disappointed

Very good food, great service, clean place. Nice views and light and airy. Do get the loyalty app , cheaper and nice freebies. I had the splendid Strawberry Sicilian Still lemonade, made of course with Sicilian lemons. And my favourite dessert, sweet baby figs in white wine and a touch of cinnamon and mascarpone with a coffee.

I go to Pizza Express all the time with the kids and it’s always pretty decent. However this one was terrible the kids meals are batch cooked so the dough balls were cold & rock hard. My beer was luke warm & got third degree burns from the burning bright spotlights directly above all the tables. The service was fine but that was the best bit the kids ice cream was melted as I guess they do the same thing as the dough balls. Overall definitely avoid

Been here a few times with friends. Its definitely a busy restaurant and I would advise anyone to book. You get a lot of kids parties here. I think there was 4 groups/parties the night we went. So the restaurant is loud. I feel this place needs more staff or can do front of house as you are kept waiting at the front door quite a while. It seems like the job of one person but he also has a million other jobs too. Apart from that service is good. Food is good and hot. Reasonably priced and you can use tesco vouchers to pay. 👍

We went to Pizza Express at Kingston Rotunda today for the first time and it was a special occasion, as we celebrated our little one's birthday along with her friends. We were given the chance to preorder the food choices, a fantastic idea when you're dealing with kids because this will give you time to relax and focus on the party :) The kids' favourite have been the dough balls with garlic butter and the sundae, they really quickly disappeared just after arriving at the table! Not only did we have plenty of time to eat (from both kids and grown ups' menu!) but, we must say that, we had the most attentive and committed staff around (we didn't ask for her name, shame on us but, Young Lady with blue eyes, you were absolutely a STAR!) We also got everyone joining in singing Happy Birthday songs and, what else could we ask for? Our daughter was over the moon! Needless to say, it's a five star service for us and we will definitely come back soon :) Well done to all of you guys, you are absolutely the best and made our day memorable!

I came here with a friend after seeing a film at the Kingston Odeon as this is in the same complex - indeed, it is just opposite, so the location of this restaurant is perfect for either just before or after going to the cinema. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and well-furbished, and there are crayons, etc for children. We popped in for a drink and a snack and were served by a charming girl called Dorota who was both efficient and friendly. She also pointed out that if you download the Pizza Express app you have regular free offers, and she was very helpful in assisting me set this up. As a result, we not only had drinks (the strawberry Sicilian lemonade is delicious and thirst-quenching) and tasty desserts, plus also some free dough balls! I do recommend the app if you are planning a visit - after all, who doesn't like a freebie? A very enjoyable visit and I shall definitely return.

Five thirteen year old boys for a birthday lunch. Many thanks to Dorothy for lovely service. She was very accommodating and helped the boys have a lovely time. Food came promptly and was perfect for them. The staff sang happy birthday and put a candle in dessert. All in all a great visit, thanks Dorothy, your service made a big difference.

Hi the food was nice and good. But when I was there with my friends, we ordered are food and towards the end when getting the check, it was not broken down in orders item. Some of the items on the check was merged and we found it hard to add it up the total, the waiter for me felt impatient and went on to serve other customers while we tried to figure it out. But when he got back, he just seemed really annoyed and had a tone. I don't want to be picking small details but it just felt all rushed we were entering random amount as we felt rushed and he, was just not patient. Especially when we all have disabilities and find it hard to work under pressure, and calculate the check at which different items were merged, which didn't help paying for our own meals. Food 5 Star Service 2 and atmosphere 4

I love every pizza express I’ve been in, but we went in here today and the amount of screaming children having kids parties ruined our meal. I’m not usually a complainer and staff were wonderful , but the amount of 3+ tables housing 10+ screaming kids ruined the experience for me. I could not hear who I was with to have a conversation and I think if you’re going to let kids in, there should be an area for adults only to enjoy their meal without it spoiling it when we are paying good money to have an enjoyable experience. The pizza also came out looking like a DIY kids size pizza when any pizza express i’ve been to usually comes out looking really nice and properly done. Please think about your customers when seating loud children!

Tasty as always - it is a Pizza Express! Let down by a slightly slow service but need to take the fact it was a Friday Night into consideration.

We were here for a film so arrived early (6pm) when the restaurant was fairly empty. We both had Romana pizzas which took about 15-20 minutes to arrive and had clearly been sitting on the counter for at least 5 minutes but they were crispy and typically Pizza Express. We also had coleslaw but remembered, too late, that we don't like their dressing. Drinks took a while to come. Service was friendly but, the place filled up over the next hour and they were clearly understaffed. Had to wait over 10 minutes for our bill.

This was the most accommodating, friendly, and thoughtful Pizza Express we've been to - It was my daughter's 3rd b'day party where the staff, although busy, we always happy to help - Even the manager, Gregg, after noticing my children/Wife spoke Polish, told us he'd sing Happy Birthday in Polish - They went to extra mile to make our experience as pleasant as possible - We will definitely go back!
