Little Italy in Kingston upon Thames

Very disappointed with our visit yesterday. I pre-booked a table and had been messaging a nice man called Paul prior to our visit and this was for a special birthday for my fiancé. When we arrived no one was aware of our booked table. I showed the man on the door our texts and he said ah yes Paul come and sit here. We were put on a table that wasn't even made/set up. No cutlery, no candles, serviettes etc just a plain wooden table. I again said we had a pre-booked reservation but again this was ignored. I asked to be moved outside as saw a table that was free that was slightly nicer and at least set. We moved but throughout the whole meal no reference was made to my fiancés birthday like I stated in my messages to Paul to which his reply in message was special requests noted. The service was not good and we felt rushed, we ordered and within literally 1 minute our starter arrived and then within a minute of finishing our starter our main arrived. We were in out of the restaurant within 45 mins!! Not the nice relaxed meal I was hoping for, for my fiancés birthday. We felt the food and drinks were massively expensive and the food did not deserve the prices we paid. To then top it off the bill came with the service charge included, we paid this but in all honesty we did not receive a good service. A very disappointing end to our trip to London to celebrate a special birthday and we will not be returning!!

It is now called Little Italy. AVOID!! Disastrous, the server was nice but the food was under average, and most of all RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. All this for a steak and 3 pieces of chips. Then on the bill we see 3£ for a sauce! The wine is terrible, cheap wine (cooking wine!!!!) avoid it as if ur life depends on it

Food isn't great, tastewise. Minestrone soup was ger watery and the garlic bread with that has nothing special either. My friend ordered grilled fish with vegetables and that's nice. I ordered pine-seed cake and what I saw in the picture didn't look what was served and not really worth the money. The restaurant is overpriced being in the prime area. Nothing special about food. I won't recommend it.

Disappointing Experience I wouldn’t recommend this place. The pizzas tasted like they were frozen supermarket varieties, lacking freshness and flavor. The bruschetta was equally underwhelming, made with basic toast bread instead of fresh, quality ingredients. Definitely not worth the visit.

Average food, too expensive for what they offer. The service is the best the restaurant has.

My family and I were walking down the street in the rain and they welcomed us by offering us a coffee each and a bruschetta, we chatted and they made us feel like we were at home. Thanks again for the excellent service, 200,000% recommended

Typical throw in place that doesn't care after getting you in the net. Seemed OK at first. Decent interior and heat on the patio. Then got a sloppy pizza and a much too hot glass of red wine. Zero service during the meal. Not recommended.

Beware of this tourist trap. They draw you in with friendly behavior, but once you’re seated, the experience takes a turn for the worse. The staff are rude, there are unexpected charges, and they don’t honor the menu prices. Service is poor and judgmental. Definitely one to avoid!

Quality of food vs cost is poor.

I can't say it was bad, but I wouldn't want to go back. The dishes are too expensive for something too simple. No sauce other than mayonnaise and ketchup. A bit simple for the price...

Were seated outside (January) without sufficient heatlamps, waiters were super fast but you could see, that they're only smiling for the customers. Other people that came in behind us were offered tables inside. We ordered a seafood risotto (had never seen butter, white wine or parmesan cheese) that was topped with grated mozzarella cheese at the table and a salami pizza that had pools of fat on the surface. In hindsight I should have been suspicious, that they had free seats. We were in and out in probably 30min, luckily no one asked how we liked the food. The 15% service fee that is included in the bill for sure is not for good service.

The food is so delicious and tasty like you are in Italy, the staff are so kind and helpful overall it was amazing!

Burger only topped with meat, nothing else, Pizza not through. You get a 20% discount, but then another 13% cover charge will be added

The food was good but nothing to write home about. It was very expensive plus there was a 25% service charge! As soon as we put down our forks, the waiter came with the card machine for us to pay the bill so that we leave and they can fit in the next customers.

Quite expensive Bolognese £21 was nothing especial at all small chips £6

The service was lackluster at best—they never even brought us water despite multiple requests. The arancini were excessively greasy, making them almost inedible, and the pizza was underwhelming. It lacked any authentic Italian flavor and felt more like a cheap imitation than a true Italian dish. On top of that, the beer was outrageously priced at nearly £11, and to make matters worse, a 25% service charge was automatically added to the bill. It’s an absurd price to pay for such a disappointing experience. Save your money and go elsewhere—this place isn’t worth a single penny.

A nice, central and good place to dine

Don t go there. they just want to take your monney. Lady at qrtvice was unfriendly, they did 2 times mistake on service. Meals were good. Bill was super expensive we did not drink they plastic warr bottle, they charged us anyway and i forgot to take it away. It was a plastic one, like in a take away shop !!

We were interested in eating at this restaurant and we were told at reception that bruschetta was offered. We had a pizza and a pasta dish and we ordered our bruschetta obviously asking if it was free, it was, perfect. We received our dishes quickly, except for the bruschetta, we asked twice but still nothing, it never came… The waitress at the end of the meal apologized and gave us a reduction of 4 gbp. We were even going to tip a little as a courtesy, but that's when we saw that they tip themselves 25%!!! on the final note. It’s lamentable, especially since the prices are already very high for what it is, even if it’s good, I RECOMMEND AGAINST it!!

Local tourist trap. Service 25%??? A bottle of water $7.90? A $9.90 beer? Shameful, my mistake that I didn't ask for when ordering.

We sat down to have a drink and eventually ordered something to eat. What I found terrible was how they kicked us out. We had been there for a while and hadn’t finished when, all of a sudden, they brought us the bill. No one had asked for it, and we were even about to order another round, but seeing how they were subtly kicking us out, we got up and left! Very expensive! I don’t recommend it at all.

Kitchen: 0 I asked for a 4 cheese pizza, I got a margharita pizza which tasted like cardboard. My girlfriend took a plate of pasta where there were 5 penes chasing each other. We asked for parmesan, the waiter gave us a pinch of parmesan (that is to say nothing at all) And finally, we waited 30 minutes to get the bill. Tip: you will find better opposite

Cajoled by the Italian servers standing outside and hungry from a whole morning of walking about, we opted for this restaurant among a street of many other Italian places. We had a lasagna, which was slightly hard (not in a pleasant al dente way) and a pizza, which was unremarkable. For the price, we did not leave happy.

Microwaved food and overpriced. Tesco meal deals taste better than the cheap meat they serve.

I had the pleasure of being served by Hassan during my recent visit, and I can confidently say that the experience was outstanding. From the moment we were seated, Hassan greeted us with a warm and genuine smile, immediately making us feel welcome. They were attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at the right moments and offering helpful suggestions when asked.

Very expensive for portion size, even for London. 3 small bowls of pasta dishes cost £80.22. Service charge of 12.5%.

The food was ok but the the service was poor. Had to ask for the pepper and parmesan and it was slow to arrive. Neven offered a dessert menu or coffee. Don't think I have ever had so little attention in a restaurant. The only time any speed was shown was when I ask for the bill which arrived instantly with the card reader. It's a little pricey as well Look elsewhere.

I went with my friends a few nights ago and it was a terrible experience the food was really bland the service was non existent there are so many great Italians in London do not give your business to this one

Genuinely the worst resturant I've ever eaten at. Was seated fine, if a bit short on space. Was hassled to order food, coming over every 2 minutes to ask if we were ready to order yet. Got my drink wrong. Starters came and wasn't the best, but edible. 5 minutes after starters were served the mains came out, we weren't even halfway through the starters. I ordered lasagne which tasted microwaved, very chewy and barely any sauce. The worst lasagne I've ever had, I would rather have a ready meal. My boyfriend ordered pizza which wasn't good either. Decided to leave dessert and the bill was astonishingly high for 2 people and no alcohol. £80. Overall our food was worth £10 at most. Avoid at all costs, staff rush you out and aren't friendly at all.

Saying “you kind can’t eat here” to a Turkish person and an East Asian person can happen in nowadays London now it seems like, ciao bella I guess lol

By ordering two different large beers, a blonde botched waitress brought them claiming they were the same and we were ridiculous asking which is which. Upon asking for the check we realised that they really did mess with our order, lacking courtesy and it came up to 20£ which is way too overrated.

The food is amazing! Very much Italian flavour. one bite and I thought I was in Italy. The service is 10/10 the staff are super friendly and fun to be around. Lots of good vibes will definitely recommend to stop by if you are visiting here!

At the door they don't even let you look at the menu without making you enter directly, and the most visible thing is the children's menu, the cheapest. Then inside you discover that the prices are much more expensive than you expected, in addition to the 12.5% ​​tip they add. So far normal in a place for tourists. Really bad service. Asked for water for the table 3 times on the third time was told that she will have to see as the bar staff are very busy. No Parmesan with any of our pasta dishes and not authentic Italian food. Very expensive and left very disappointed. Will not be back. Had dinner here last night before the cinema. There are lots of Italian restaurants on this strip so high high expectations due to the competition despite also being in a tourist hot spot. I was welcomed nicely and sat instantly. The first thing I noticed was that the decor seemed tired. Scratched wood, paper sign for the toilets and the place looked like it needs a bit of a makeover. The paper in the menu was yellowing. Just print a new one? I wasn’t directly near the door but the door was kept open the entire time and it’s November so was a little surprised. It’s in part to having outside diners. But it wasn’t warm in the restaurant. The next thing I noticed was it had fish and chips in the menu. I thought that very odd for an authentic Italian restaurant. I ordered a glass of pino grigio and it pretty average. The weird thing was that the glass was so thick. I picked it up a few times as I don’t think I’ve had a glass with such a thick stem in my life. Took away from the refinement of having a glass of wine. It came quickly and the server was friendly. I ordered lasagne. It came and it was ok. No better, no worse. It was a little chewy on the top layer of cheese but was ok enough to eat so didn’t complain. Towards the end of my meal the table of four to my left complained and asked for the manager. Citing poor service and something about the food. They were given a part refund and a free dessert. I think it was handled well by the manager. Then the table behind me (2) complained about the food. Saying it wasn’t authentic and didn’t taste good. The server told them they couldn’t have a refund as they had almost completely finished the dish. They left pretty unhappy. Before I left I used the toilet and even that was part broken. I think that’s the theme of this place. I was pretty underwhelmed overall. I wouldn’t go again.

Food was bland and waited over a hour to get mains , no check backs had to get to staffs for attention to order drinks sitting with empy drinks for over 25 mins Food told mains would be 2 mins 20 mins later still no food would avoid at all cost !

I went today to this Italian restaurant and I had the best experience. I tried the pizza and it was so delicious. Also the waitress Teuta was so kind and helpful. I would definitely come back .

Most amazing service and great food. The servers were patient and funny and understanding. We were a group of 18 and handled it so well. And they came with an amazing surprise at the endand that really was the evenings cherry on top. Cant recommend enough

I’ve never had such an unpleasant dining experience in London, and this is actually the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to leave a negative review on Google Maps. A dog at the entrance was quite intimidating. Perhaps consider keeping him elsewhere?

Food is not that food, to be honest We had 3 dishes, the best of which was the fresh and delicious feta salad, but it came without any sauce. You added balsamic vinegar and olive oil to it. I did not like the fettuccino alfredo at all, the steak was dry. Antipasto platter to share was nice. Not huge though. Quite expensive for what it is. I have paid with cash and I was actually looking for coins to find the exact quantity and it was 45.12. The waitress took 45.20 from my coins and I thought: alright then. No one ever brought the change. Obviously the service charge was included in the bill already. It is a tiny quantity, but it is the fact that she decided to take that without even asking and then assuming that it was okay.

Rip off, way to expensive for unauthentic painfully average food.

Food was dry and tasteless. No spice. Ordered a chicken breast served with chips. Was served a tasteless dry chicken slice. Was never asked if it was ok to take plates away. They wee just removed as quickly as one was emptied. I generally hope to pay for someone to make me food that I can’t make myself. This was an experience I will not repeat. Won’t be coming back.

Positives - nice outdoor seating. Good spot near Leicester Square. Food delivered pretty quickly. Overall, we thought the taste was okay. Negatives - pricing a bit high for what you get. The service was not good. We had to get the servers' attention to place an order. Fninshed our drinks, no follow-up. Finished our meals no one checked on us. We ended up feeling frustrated by the lack of service. Spend your money elsewhere. I would recommend choosing another establishment. There are plenty of choices in the area.

The wine was a bit pricey, but the staff and food was amazing.

This place is overrated. The food is nothing exceptional, but the prices are very exorbitant. For 2 pizzas and one seafood spaghetti as well as 2 cokes and a beer £150 plus £13 tip. The tip is automatically included in the calculation. This approach doesn't work at all. Ergo, not recommended.
