Unfortunately I didn't read any reviews beforehand. The recruiter was very nice, the waitress less so, the food terrible.

I was served delicious food.. but wine wise as a bartender, i was very disappointed.. once was a wrong order, and second was that the wine was oxidised and very cloudy.. one of the waiters made me pay for the wine that i had not touched.. and service was disgusting.. no check up nor dessert menus.. the waitresses speak very nasty amoung eachother.. but food was fantastic! The host wonderful!

Horrible and ill mannered staff. Very rude and service charge is compulsory to pay.Also it’s overly priced for what the food is.Payed 60 pounds for two small portions of pasta and two cokes. Don’t go there, the vibes are terrible.

We had Pizza for dinner... Very delicious! In addition to the order, they brought us several complimentary things! (Bruschetas, lemonccello, etc...) The service is very warm and the dishes come out quickly!! We had a great time!!! At the reception, "il napoletano (10)", always very good vibes!!! (I saw other comments about table service...they charged us 12.5%...) I recommend it! You really experience Italy in London!

It is difficult for me to judge the quality of the pizza, but the service is more than top-notch. I am very grateful to the person who stood at the door on Wednesday evening, March 27, 2024. My son has autism and was in London at school. Unfortunately, due to his autism, he is unable to participate in class and was left to his own devices by school to go out and eat somewhere. He wanted pizza and chose Little Italy. At first he wanted to pay immediately at the entrance, but the nice gentleman at the entrance said go inside, find a table, take your time for your pizza and then pay. He even received a tip that there were also smaller pizzas that you could order via the children's menu. He found the staff super friendly. So cool to hear that there are still catering companies that are also committed to customers who only order 1 pizza. Thank you for this top service. He thought the pizza was delicious, by the way.

We went to this restaurant for dinner. The lady at reception was very nice and accommodating. The waitress clearly didn't want to serve us. Unfortunately the pizza was not edible because the pizza crust was still raw. The lasagna was also not edible because the lasagna sheets were tough. Everything was also quite expensive, considering that it wasn't good.

Nothing to say about food and service, but it's a steal to pay €9.30 for a bottle of still water. Overall we paid around 40 euros per person eating a salad, a bruschetta and two olives.

Dissapointing Pizza had like 4 pieces of salami and the same amout Salami A peroni was 9 quid and in general food was below average and very overpriced . And then on Top of it you get banged with a 15 pct service charge Very small print bottom of menu Much better places to ear

Went for my sister’s birthday dinner. Everything was really good and the food was delicious. And really lovely staff. Highly recommended place for Italian food.

Stopped for lunch after the charming waiter caught our attention as he was an Italian speaker and we’re Italian. Decided to stop and have a quick lunch, opted for a calamari starter and 2x linguine zucchine and prawns main course the calamari were hard to chew, the pasta was tasteless and the smell was off. Didn’t feel like authentic Italian cuisine at all I wouldn’t go back

The pizzas were anything but pizza. The crust wasn't baked properly and in general, I've eaten finer pizza in London. Burgers for kids were ok, lettuce was rotten, cucumber and peppers weren't even edible!! Once and not again. The staff was very friendly and brought a pizza on the house, but it wasn't really edible

RUN from this place !!!! Today, my boyfriend and I had an experience at this l restaurant that left us both astounded and deeply upset. In an egregious departure from basic customer service ethics, we were charged £8 for a bottle of water—a different brand than what was listed on the menu. This deceptive practice alone was enough to sour our experience, but what followed was even more unacceptable. Upon noticing the discrepancy and respectfully declining to pay for the product that we did not order, we were met with resistance. We asserted our rights, after checking the Consumer Rights Act, which clearly states that goods and services must be as described. Rather than acknowledging their mistake, a staff member named Alex escalated the situation by insultingly suggesting that our refusal was due to an inability to "read English properly." This was not only offensive but completely misplaced and unprofessional. This restaurant's conduct is a glaring violation of consumer trust and legal obligations to honesty and transparency. I am writing this review as a warning to potential customers. Practices like these cannot be overlooked or tolerated. To anyone considering dining here, please be aware of our experience. There are numerous establishments where your business and rights as a consumer will be respected. Choose wisely.

We recently embarked on a family trip across Europe, and one of the restaurants we visited was Little Italy at 5-8 Irving St, London. I felt compelled to share our experience with you. Our waitress, Teuta, was exceptional. Her customer service skills were impeccable. Unlike other places we visited, we didn't have to wait long. She was extremely friendly, delivered our drinks promptly, served our appetizers and main dish without delay, and consistently checked on our drinks, which was truly remarkable. It's rare to find such attentive service, as we've often encountered staff who seemed disinterested and solely motivated by their paycheck, showing little care for customer satisfaction. To anyone reading this and planning a visit to this wonderful place, I hope you have the pleasure of being served by Teuta. She made our dining experience unforgettable, and we feel fortunate to have met such an amazing person.

Classic tourist trap, with greatly overpriced food/drinks. However, the worst part was the service, which was the worst I've ever experienced in London. Almost immediately after we got our order, the waiters started to rudely pressure us to finish and leave. Don't stop here, there are much better establishments in the area.

The food was decent though rather overpriced. However, we asked the waitress if we could have a box for our leftover pizza. She took our plates into the back and then we paid. We ate about half of it and planned to take the rest home. Afterwards we asked if we could have the box that we asked for. She said that she threw away our pizza. She then proceeded to insist that we said that we didn’t want it when we actually asked twice for a box. No one didn’t have the courtesy to offer us anything in exchange despite the fact that she was giving free starters to the tables around us.

It was a really wonderful evening me and my family spent at the Little Italy. Wonderful meal, good drinks, well-tempered red wine - from me there comes a heartfully recommendation.

Overpriced and disappointing. They offer you free limoncello to get you in, but when you order not enough, you get nothing. Tiramisu did not seem to have any mascarpone in it. They could not bring the right tea that I ordered even from the third attempt. Pretty bad for the price charged.

The Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The lovely lady call Jasmine was the front end of the Restaurant and she offered us garlic bread on the house with the main dish. The food is 5 star and reasonable price and a generous portion. Highly recommend it. Sheela

Always eat here when I’m in the west end. Great food, full of flavor and good portions. Genuine Italian restaurant, not a franchise. Staff who really care that you have a great dining experience. And the entertainment watching Jasmine rustling up business is wonderful. Treat yourself!

My order was: Garlic Mozzarella Bread, Margarita and Calzone. The dough is delicious and light, and the wood oven added a special taste to it.

Very overpriced for the food quality. I didn’t try any Italian dishes but my food tasted exactly like small-town cheap café food. For 15-20 pounds per dish it is terrible value for money. The staff were nice enough but the atmosphere was lacking. There’s loads of better and cheaper food places nearby, very disappointing.

NON FERMATEVI!!!! Per fortuna che almeno la pizza era buona perché per quanto al servizio... Abbiamo deciso di cenare qui solo perché diluviava e avevamo fame. Ripeto, pizza buona ma servizio indicibile, camerieri neanche in nota di avere dei clienti, in più la titolare che fumava la sigaretta elettronica mentre parlava con i clienti (che anche loro fumavano ma non l' elettronica) e tutto il fumo arrivava verso di noi. ATTENZIONE, questi due perché le andavano a genio, perché agli altri è stato detto di non fumare perché eravamo sotto il tendone (che vedete nelle foto postate da altri utenti). Non prendono american express. Classico specchio italiano per le allodole.

A place to avoid! Quality of the food was way too expensive for what it was (surely from a can). The waitress was not aware that she had clients, she set Moroccan music in an Italian restaurant so loud that we could not talk together. We asked to set the volume down but we got the answer that there was no speakers outside for the clients… the only persons outside were two waitress… And to finish they just gave us the bill without even asking for a dessert, and they charged us 25% for service. This place is a shame, do not waste your money there…

Thought it would be better than chain restaurants, but no, over priced for mediocre offerings, and the exorbitant service charge was a joke, so won't be visiting again!

I’ve eaten in here many times but now they are adding a 25% service charge. I work in hospitality myself and am always happy to give a tip however high end restaurants in Mayfair do not add this amount. I offered to leave a £4 tip but was pushed to have it reduced to 12.5% I was left to made feel uneasy. I won’t be returning.

I was quite disappointed with my recent experience at little italy. While the food was acceptable, the addition of a mandatory 25% service charge was exorbitant and not clearly justified by the level of service provided. Furthermore, I found the overall value for money to be lacking, considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. It’s unfortunate, but I expected more from a dining establishment in London and feel compelled to share this to inform potential future customers.

Yasmin called us into the restaurant and we are so pleased she did. What a great place. Excellent food, great service and good atmosphere. Service charge is a little high but we liked it so much it didn’t matter. Forget Bella Italia - this is much much better

Insanely expensive for what it was. Pizza, a bowl of pasta were 30 pounds, they automatically charge you 25% service even though they don't even speak you, which is steep by american standards. Bottled water was 8 pounds. The food itself was really good (margherjta pizza was fantastic), but you're better off walking a little farther away from the national gallery to avoid going to a place that is exorbitantly expensive like this one. All in all we paid 50 pounds for zero service, a pizza, a bowl of pasta, and a water.

It’s definitely for tourists. They cramp as many people in as they can and move as fast as they can to get your food to get you out. There’s no wine list, so you know it’s not real Italian. I had the risotto which was a bit clumpy and not creamy. Their “ciabatta” seemed more like frozen bread reheated. My husband’s pancetta pasta was simply pieces of sliced ham. Go someone else for real Italian food. For two meals and two drinks, it was 129 pounds.

Il servizio è stato impeccabile, soprattutto il titolare si è rivelato una persona molto simpatica, il cibo era molto buono, anche la pizza in omaggio non era male. Un consiglio: togliete un po' di aglio dagli alimenti, io non sono uno che schifa ľaglio, ma ad alcuni potrebbe dar fastidio in quelle quantità

I went against my gut to come here ... beware restaurants that pull you IN with free appetizers. PRO: - Close location to Leicester Square - Close to the middle of the coolest areas in London (Chinatown, Piccadilly, Covent Garden, Seven Dials) - People watching outside CON: - The food was just ok. I may be picky since I make my own pasta but it really just is meh - Prices were a bit steep for portions - If you ask for water, it will be $$ (no tap water) - So so service SUMMARY: We were hungry so we ate here. It wasn't anything special but it wasn't bad. I don't think I'd eat here again/

Völlig überfülltes Restaurant. Wir wurden zu unserem Platz geführt, die Gäste an dem Tisch, der uns zugewiesen wurde, waren noch da und hatten auch noch Getränke. Diese mussten sie runterstürzen, um den Platz für uns zu räumen. Unsere bestellten Calzone kamen sehr schnell, es war jedoch mehr Teig als alles andere, wenig Füllung, kaum gewürzt. Kaum aufgegessen, kam ein Kellner und fragte, ob wir noch etwas haben wollen, wir verneinten, keine 2 Min. später wurde die Rechnung vorgelegt, wir mussten selbst alles auseinander rechnen, weil wir nicht gefragt worden sind, ob wir getrennt zahlen möchten. Kaum bezahlt, standen die nächste Gäste an unserem Tisch, wir hatten ebenfalls nichtmal ausgetrunken. Service geht definitiv anders! Sehr teuer, Calzone+eine Cola haben knapp 36€ gekostet. Würde ich auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen!

Nice place to grab a pizza/pasta dish while on town. Not a quite pleasant couple on a date venue. Limited veg choices compared to the big chains. Very very busy due to it being Christmas and extremely congested inside. Despite this, service is friendly, prompt and professional. A worthy try as food was tasty, which was good because the prices at £25+ pp for the meal are higher than the chains.
