The best restaurants serving Italian food in East of England

We have dined there on several occasions. Food is outstanding and staff are very efficient and helpful. We had a party of 14 family and friends who all very much enjoyed our lunch. We had a various selection of food and all was enjoyed very much with all having three courses.

I drive past this restaurant daily and have always said I must go there. Well the husband done good and booked us a table. A lovely warm welcome and the food was absolutely delicious we will certainly be back.

Evening Meal in this local Italian based restaurant. The food was absolutely fabulous. The calamari perfectly cooked and all the food beautifully presented and delicious.

I’ve been to the “cottage bar and bistro” twice in the last couple of weeks and have enjoyed the food on both occasions. I had the mussels to start followed by spaghetti with seafood. Both were nicely cooked with fresh seafood and very delicious. Previously I had calamari and sea-bass which were also lovely. The portion size was perfect for me. The service was efficient and the chef was able to offer an alternate for our friend who had specific dietary requirements. I will return as there are other dishes on the menu which I’d like to try.

Tried to visit Francesco & Amorosa for another superb Italian meal, but found the restaurant closed. Oh no. We have been eating at Francisco's for a few years now and always have fantastic food served with passion and friendship. The end of an era. Wishing you both a long and happy retirement. I have an amazing experience dining at Woburn Thai. The food as well as the services are amazing. They are authentic thai dishes situated in the middle of the niche location. The ambient is well-organized and decorated.

Food was authentic and absolutely delicious!

I walk past Maurizio's often but haven't eaten there for many years. On an impromptu night out we enjoyed an excellent dinner. The food was authentic and the veal delicious, with fresh vegetable and huge portions. Several people took home the remains of their food, especially pizza. It would be nice to have a bigger choice of house wine by the glass. The restaurant looks very pretty with a tree in the middle, but the unfinished woodwork would benefit from a coat of paint. When full or with a large group it was noisy as there are no soft furnishings to absorb the sound. It is very popular at the weekends so you need to book. A good local dinner.

Fantastic evening. Excellent food, fresh and delicious. Friendly service and welcoming ambiance. How lucky the people of St Neots are to have this restaurant. If you live locally and haven’t been go - you won’t be disappointed.

Enjoyable evening, was definitely made better by the friendly service. We arrived a little late for our booking but it was no problem at all for the them. Debora was very helpful, friendly and welcoming right from the beginning and Paul was efficient alongside her also. We didn’t wait long for anything and all was delivered in a friendly manner! Absolutely love this place. I have been lucky enough to go twice this month and each the time the staff and food were amazing. First time was with a group of around 15 and second time group of 8 and everyone really enjoyed their food and said they would go back. Family fun, fresh food.

Friday pm. Around 8ish. Called to order a couple of pizzas for collection. First call rang, and rang, and rang and eventually rang out. Tried again, call finally answered, I was asked to hold the line, could hear a separate conversation going on within the restaurant, waited for a further minute, no one had come back, put the phone down and ended up eating at home and saved £25. They must be inundated with custom that they can lose business…

It’s a nice little restaurant very cosy and serves good food nice place to go for dinner my family all enjoyed it

I ate here tonight with six of my friends for a birthday celebration. We had a lovely round table by the window. The evening was exceptional and I cannot recommend this lovely Italian highly enough. Firstly, the service: The restaurant was very busy with around ten tables occupied. There was one waitress and the manager doing the whole service yet we were treated like Royalty. Service was punctual, friendly and warm with nothing being too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious all round. We started with garlic bread to share, several platters which I know is quite a basic dish but it was the best I’ve ever tasted. Most of us had either veal or chicken plus one ravioli. We all agreed that the quality was superb and was thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back again soon
