Another fabulous visit. Wonderful food and staff. Nothing too much trouble. Calves liver was my particular favourite but everyone enjoyed their food This time we were only 4 people but in the past its been just as brilliant for a huge family meal of 20 plus people.

The menu had a range of dishes including gnocchi. We booked after reading previous good reviews and the restaurant deserved them. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive. The puddings on menus are often disappointing but not this restaurant’s Tiramisu, a lovely end to a meal.

This is the first time visiting the restaurant. It was a a excellent choice, the setting inside is very nice and not to cramped. The owner was lovely and very helpful. There is a good choice of food. The special fresh pasta dishes offer another great selection, we opted for the clam vongole and tagliatelle with gorgansola and tomato. Both dishes came piper hot, plenty off clams. Honestly can say this is the best Italian I have been to with great service and at a very reasonable price, would definitely recommend , thanks again

Lovely surroundings with great freshly cooked food. The wine was superb (red Malbec). The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The chef personally visited our table to check we were happy with our food. Which we were! Highly recommend, I believe it to be the best Italian restaurant in Potters Bar.

We’ve been here 3 times the past 6 months and it is exceptional. I rarely give 5 out of 5 as it’s a high bar. But the service and staff are great; the chef and staff are Italian (it helps!!) and the food is brilliant. Good choices and options. Not a rip off (menu or ridiculous service charges. We will keep going back.

We visited on a Fri night after a 7 Yr gap. Omg what were we missing. The restaurant was warm, twinkling with lights and welcoming. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food more tasty. Had passed this restaurant many times but never got around to trying it until last night. From the outside, it doesn’t look very promising but on entering, it immediately feels welcoming and is pleasantly decorated. Loved the original iron spiral staircase! The only negative is the acoustics which if the restaurant were packed, may make it hard to hear everyone on your table. Our waitress, Galina, was friendly, helpful and efficient. The service was the right balance of attention but not making you feel at all rushed. The food was of a high standard and there’s a good range of pasta, fish and meat dishes. There was also a more than adequate wine menu. The Pinot Grigio was particularly good. Thanks for a nice evening. We will definitely be returning!

Visited this restaurant with friends having seen many positive reviews on Potters bar mums on Facebook. We weren’t disappointed! The restaurant itself has an elegant but welcoming atmosphere. The menu was very comprehensive and we were spoilt for choice. The food was excellent. Clean plates all round. Staff were friendly. The chef came out to see if we enjoyed our meal which we thought was a lovely touch. Great venue for a couple, business or friends and family. We have already booked to come back for a family celebration and they have been very accommodating. If you haven’t been before give it a go. If you haven’t been for a while then go back. You will be glad you did.

Lovely food, however, slightly disappointed by the fact that we had pre ordered the pizza for our visit, as per the restaurant's policy, only to turn up on the night and be informed that they had not got any. This had been a treat our 7 year old had been looking forward to and put a slight dampener on things. Would visit again but would ensure we got confirmation back from the restaurant confirming our requests.

This was our first visit, but will will 100% be back. The food was fantastic and great value for money. The staff were super friendly too! I had the Ravioli, and my partner had the seafood linguine which was piled high with mussels, squid, and prawns. This place really deserves to be fully booked every night, because it really was lovely.

I reviewed this restaurant a few years ago when it was Su Nuraghe and visited again with friends after the re-branding to The Old Papparazzi. The management has not changed, just a new chef, staff looks smart and are very friendly and welcoming. I have taken family here including my young grandson and everyone really enjoys their meals. This time I our party included a vegetarian friend who was very impressed at the quality. The food looks inviting on the plate, tastes delicious and is reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Once reason why we love this restaurant is its adherence to traditional standards, with its white table linen, smart waitstaff and courteous service. We also love its food, which is always delicious, is served in generous portions and offers good value for money. (If you have limited mobility, note that there are a few steps down into the restaurant. However, access on the level is possible through a separate door that is normally kept locked but can be opened on request. There are no stairs to the toilets.)

We recently returned here for dinner after some 3 years absence. The absence was for no fault of the restaurant but we knew it had gone through managerial changes and we had also found 2/3 other places in Potters Bar. What a wonderful surprise to find that the atmosphere, the food and the service were still of high quality. Highly recommended and will frequent again very soon.

Whole experience is Italian. The menu is what most Brit’s would identify as Italian both in its 4 course layout and items available. The wine - a dry red - was very good too.

We returned to this local restaurant last Friday after a long time away, and after spending an evening here we remembered why we stopped going. The restaurant was nearly empty which resulted in no atmosphere and after being seated and given the menus the maitre’ d just walked away and I had to call him back to order a drink. The starter prawn and avocado was ok, although my friends prawns with tomato sauce had shells on them and were so covered in sauce that it was impossible to shell them without getting dirty hands. My friends chips that he ordered were burnt and inedible my sauté potatoes we dark on the outside and hard on the inside and my fried prawns were overcooked and we tough and chewy. No wonder no one asked us if everything was alright. The waiter who attended to us was cheerful enough but the maitre d looked miserable and drinks ordered with him failed to arrive even after 2 reminders, you could hardly say he was rushed off his feet, he gave the impression he could not be bothered, so I’m afraid we won’t be back.

I'll keep this brief! décor old and tired....when we arrived it was about 25% filled and was shown to table. Cheap French bread and olives presented on table, I don't care if it was free as I'd rather pay and have better quality produce. Waiter quick to walk away without offering drinks Order eventually taken by waiter who looked and sounded bored. Food arrived but waiter never returned to see if everything was ok or drinks needed. Food just about average. Not good enough all round for a return visit or recommendation. No effort by front of house staff. Needs to improve all round. it's not rocket science to get the basics right

Really nice traditional Italian restaurant, the staff are friendly professional and attentive! Portion sizes are decent, I had the sea food pasta which I would recommend - very reasonably priced for the quality and service. The owner recommended us a wine which is now a new favourite.

Starters were ok, my boyfriend wasn’t sure about the colour that his crab meat came out as but it was covered in seafood sauce so was hard to be sure.

This was my first visit to The old Paparazzi. Even on a boiling hot night the restaurant was quite cool with the ceiling fans working well. This is nice traditional style restaurant where you can relax and talk without having to scream to be heard. I ordered the bruschetta to start which was ok followed by the veal escalope with spaghetti.The food was delicious but a bit mean on the spaghetti probably smaller than a childs portion. My wife had chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce which was also delicious and an adult portion. The ice cream for dessert was true gelati .

I came here with family and we had a good lunch here. We had pizzas, pasta, salmon, lamb and the veal Milanese. All were good and the desserts were just as good too.

What an amazing visit I had today. Both the owner and the waiter were incredibly friendly and eager to please. We received extra items for free such as breads and olives for starters giving it the extra touch. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The service throughout was second to none. I would definitely return again to this restaurant.

Cosy, atmospheric and authentic Italian restaurant. The service is always impeccable, and the food delicious. The Gnocchi Sardi is one of the many pasta dishes that can be recommended. The pizza (take away is an option) is also very tasty.

My two friends and I went to the Old Paparazzi for dinner tonight as a treat and we were not disappointed! The restaurant was quiet, at one point we were the only ones in there but the atmosphere was very relaxed and I can imagine it being much busier at a weekend or Friday night. The waiter we had was very lovely and provided brilliant service. The food was delicious too, my friends had pizza and I had the seafood risotto which was cooked to perfection! The music in the background wasn't too loud but created a lovely ambience. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a romantic date night or a dinner with friends.

The Old Paparazzi is a genuine Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere, excellent service and finest food. They offer a wide selection of pasta, meat, fish dishes and specialty food from Sardinia. If you love seafood definitely try the "linguine Costa Smeralda", simply superb!
