Fantastic evening. Excellent food, fresh and delicious. Friendly service and welcoming ambiance. How lucky the people of St Neots are to have this restaurant. If you live locally and haven’t been go - you won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful evening at La Cucina while visiting the area. They have a great menu which includes several vegetarian choices and the food was vey good as well as reasonably priced. I would be remiss if i failed to mention the excellent service we received from the two young ladies who somhow managed to handle the entire restaurant very efficiently. We were fortunate enough to be here on a night that entertainer "DEAN GEE" was performing. He was great. He had everyone dancing and smiling. Just a lovely night. I would recommend this place.

Wow!! Incredible meal. A surprise walking in to see the size of the place it’s much bigger than it looks from outside. Warm, friendly welcome. Once we sat down and were settled the drinks order was taken quickly and arrived without a long wait. We got the seafood starter to share and it was much bigger than expected, tasted very fresh and full of flavour. For mains we got a calzone and a carbonara which were delicious and very authentic although our eyes were too big for our bellies after the started we couldn’t eat it all. Was lovely to see the dough being freshly made and cooked in the bread oven. We will be returning asap as I didn’t leave room for dessert.

Its always a beautiful experience at la cucina to eat enjoy food an have good time in the restaurant. The food as always is delicious and the chef’s experience reflects in his dishes!

My favourite restaurant by far. I live in Northants, and is worth going to St Neots to have a proper Italian meal with a such a lovely ambient and of course with a soft Italian music in the background. The staff are always very helpful. If you want your meal with or without a certain ingredient, they will help you to have it to your taste as near as possible. One of the things about this restaurant is their vast menu. I have been to other Italian restaurants, but nothing compares to this one. Proper Italian food. If you haven’t been to La Cucina before, give it a try, and make your own judgement.

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, the house red wine is very good. The staff are so friendly & attentive. We had a wonderful evening & will look forward to returning.

Booked here for our Saturday evening meal. Restaurant was empty on arrival. Swift in taking our drinks order and then our food order. Starters were average, garlic bread, garlic bread with cheese, funghi ripieni and pan fried scallops. Scallops were not fresh but frozen and sauce was pretty inadequate. Mains were Penne All’Arrabiata, sea bass, Fettuccine Fantasia della Cucina, Agnolotti di Aragosta. The last dish was supposedly fresh pasta stuffed with lobster cooked with king prawns. This dish and two of the others supposedly had a white wine garlic sauce. The only way to describe the sauce was coloured water with no taste. The fresh pasta certainly wasn't fresh pasta. Very disappointed. This dish was removed from our bill and they did offer to cook something else but that would have been 1 person eating on their own.

Early evening. Both had fish. Excellent. Nice wine. Good service. Returning in a couple of months. Got a second date !

We visited this lovely intimate Italian restaurant for our wedding anniversary. The food was excellent with a nice wine selection the service was very good and staff friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, we had a lovely evening.

We happened upon this restaurant and were very happy we did. This is a small, intimate restaurant with excellent food. Service was just a bit slow, but there was only one gentleman trying to service all the tables by himself. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

While on a break in the area we thought we would try this little restaurant. In my opinion I thought the menu was restrictive for an Italian Restaurant. No pizza options, very few pasta options. In the end I ordered chicken. It listed on the menu that the sauce had chilli so I asked the waiter to make sure there was little chilli in the sauce. Unfortunately it had quite a kick to it and too hot for my liking. When asked if we had enjoyed our meal I did say that the sauce was a bit hot and my reply from the waiter was “why did I choose the only dish on the menu with chilli” to which I said I had asked when ordering that there was little chilli in the sauce. The waiter proceeded to argue the point even when walking away whilst we said it was ok it was an observation to the meal. Unfortunately he most probably lost himself an order for deserts and or coffee as again in my opinion you do not argue with the customer.

Not eaten here for quite some time but as I wanted something special for Valentines Night I made a booking. So glad I did, lovely atmosphere, lovely food and good service and of course great company. Tartufo Limoncello was particularly good but we both enjoyed all the food.

We visited here for a Sunday lunch with our family last week and enjoyed the same in comfortable, relaxing surroundings. The food was nice although the mushroom starter was a little cold, but the spaghetti arrabbiata was smashing and very tasty. A nice place to visit and we will definitely be back

So here goes… I think this restaurant has their pricing a bit off! The food is good but I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s fantastic, it definitely doesn’t live up to expectations unfortunately. £7 for a Bruschetta is a bit ridiculous IMO!

Lovely to visit here again. It was great to see the the place very busy, the food and ambience excellent. If we can't visit St Neots again this year, we will be back in 2021.

Where do I start. The staff were less than friendly, rude if you will. Upon entering the restaurant, staff just starred at us, waiting for me to talk, didn’t ask what my reservation name was and didn’t check the bookings for our reservation. Odd It took over 10 minutes to place a drinks order, even though both bar staff were not tending to other customers. We asked to order food and drinks at the same time to avoid a further wait. The waiter spent a lot of time talking at certain tables but not tending to other customers. Also odd. When the starter came, is when I should have left. Calamari just needs to be piping hot to taste authentic. Got that wrong, the squid wasn’t even battered, I couldn’t bite into it nor cut it. Like the eraser it tasted of, I wish it would have disappeared. King prawns in sauce, no taste. Mains came and that’s when we knew we wouldn’t be back. Pasta dish was watery, prepared with ingredients that weren’t fresh and no meat as advised. The swordfish was edible, you can’t really ruin a grilled bit of fish , thankfully. Wanted to try this restaurant as I keep walking past it on the way to other places I’ve recently eaten at. My best advice would be to keep on walking.

This was our first visit to a restaurant since lockdown and we had booked a table for an evening meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. On arrival we had a warm welcome from a gentleman wearing a mask and we made use of the sanitiser provided. The restaurant was not busy, possibly because it was a Thursday evening in August. We ordered our drinks, starters and mains and were each given a wallet containing cutlery and serviettes. The food was excellent, the service was attentive without being intrusive and we were not rushed at all. We both had a very enjoyable evening and were impressed with how spotlessly clean everything was in the restaurant. We can thoroughly recommend La Cucina and will be visiting them again for an evening meal. Their strict adherence to social distancing and cleanliness was very reassuring.

Went for a family meal this evening, they were busy due to the government offer at the moment but food was as lovely as ever and so was the service- just the right amount of time between courses. We had meatballs, prawns, lamb and lasagne- all of which were lovely. As were starters, drinks and desserts. Great music too. Will be back soon!

Staying at the local Camping and Caravan Club is proving perfect for the short walk into town for three excellent local restaurants. La Cucina was perfect, with all the precautions you would expect during Covid-19. Great choice of dishes on the menu, the homemade meatball starter was delicious and the pork belly main was cooked to perfection. Completing the meal I had the Panna Cotta - again delicious and the meal was accompanied by gin, Prosecco and an Irish coffee. A really enjoyable evening

We visited the restaurant for dinner on Sunday night, the environment was very pleased and the service was amazing. Nice music in the background playing made the moment nicer. Very happy with the timings of our food everything tasted fresh and nice did not have any inconvenience at all. very recommended for a very relaxing dinner

Our first time here since lockdown. Staying at the camping and caravan site for the first time this year, As ever the food and ambience outstanding. Visiting again on Thursday. Well recommended. Support this highly well run restaurant.

We had my mums 70th birthday meal here and the food was fantastic! They had a large menu with a great selection of dishes. All my family enjoyed their meals and the service was excellent too. The staff were friendly and helpful taking drink orders often. The food all came out at the same time and was all fresh, hot and presented well. The wait for our food was also a reasonable time. The staff were great and brought my mums cake out, they provided plates and a knife to cut it with too. We were also given complementary drinks on leaving. Fantastic, small little restaurant with a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend!

We booked a table for dinner at La Cucina for seven adults and a small child on a Saturday and on arrival were given a warm welcome by the owner and his staff. The table was nicely laid with linen tablecloths and proper napkins. There was an extensive menu and the food was well presented and tasty.Once again, we all had an enjoyable evening in a relaxed atmosphere and were not rushed at all. All the staff were pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.If you are looking for a good Italian in St. Neots, La Cucina is well worth a visIt. We will definitely be visiting again.

All 4 of us really enjoyed the food, Which wad accompanied by a wet pack style singer from 8.30 onwards. Then 10pm disco dancing with same singer but up a notch.Food was served promptly and well.Restaurant was full of happy faces.Would definitely go again

Excellent sea food risotto. Recommended!! I. needed a relaxing hour with a friend and a light quality meal this evening for a Sunday. The staff are friendly and take the time to check we are happy with the food and drink. Honza is an ideal helpful Waiter. The boss Mustafa also makes you feel welcome. Excellent fish risotto - we both had the same so can't really comment on other main course options. Tasty and fresh ingredients, rice cooked with a nice al dente bite and good portion size. Service and ambiance were great to. Lovely evening finished off with limoncello!

We decided to pop in for an evening meal, hadn’t been before, what a wonderful meal. The staff waiting table, Honza (hope that’s spelt right), was very attentive, not just to our table but all the tables, he was very helpful and gave us the impression that nothing was too much bother. Very polite and friendly.

Me and the wife took some friends here for the evening. The food was great, the staff couldn't do anymore to help and had a really good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We called on the off chance of a table for Saturday night and arrived to find a very busy restaurant which had a fantastic atmosphere. We had starters and mains and were too full for desserts but were offered a complimentary drink at the end - the food was beautifully presented and very tasty - would I recommend - absolutely yes. I booked a table at La Cucina for 11 people as a 40th birthday celebration for my partner on a Saturday night. It was evident that they were short staffed as we waited over half an hour for our drinks order to be taken, then another hour and a half for our food to turn up. I can understand that they had staffing problems but the issue I have was the way we were left without explanation or apology and when we asked to speak to the manager he waved us away dismissively and wouldn't speak to us! The food was good when it did turn up the experience of the service really left a bad taste in our mouths, especially as the only recompense we were offered was the removal of the service charge from the bill (which we wouldn't have paid anyway!). The bill ended up at £300 (after the service charge was removed) because we just kept ordering more drinks due to the long wait for food and we only had main meals!

A good Italian place. It is evident that the owners have put an effort in creating good food experience with made with care from good quality ingredients.

Decent menu choice of meat main courses as well as pasta and pizza; the genial host Mustafa is always on hand with courteous service. Neatly decorated, spacious table positioning, well cooked food, sensible wine list.

We used to frequent Il Girasole, the other Italian restaurant in town, on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the food, and the management took a nose-dive a while ago (but that's another review)

Absolutely brilliant night. We had hired the whole restaurant and have to say we were made really welcome. The only fault that I can find was that with a relatively small restaurant and small staff team, it was clearly difficult to get all the meals out anything like close together, but the food was absolutely excellent. I am absolutely certain that for an evening meal as a family or with friends this would be a brilliant place to go. Will most certainly be back. Thank you for a totally brilliant night.

We have had a fantastic meal at La Cucina this evening. The food was amazing and the service was good. Our waiters were extremely friendly. Will certainly become a regular here. Can’t recommend it enough.

As a family of 4 who booked last minute for a birthday treat, couldn't be happier with how we were greeted, treated and fed. All freshly cooked on the spot, short waiting time for the food and were thoroughly entertained by Honda the waiter. Thoroughly recommend this place for good honest Italian food.

Booked a table for 6pm as going to cinema later, on arrival restaurant was completely empty which made us a bit concerned and atmosphere was a little cold (literally and figuratively!). Very friendly welcome though and food was served very quickly (as expected I suppose!) and was very tasty. Only downside was that bread asked for with starter was a little stale and cold. First other diners turned up at 7 and then it seemed as if the doors had opened at an ikea sale! Place was almost full by 730 and it was then a very warm atmosphere. I did think that this might mean that service for others could be slow but people on tables around us seemed to get served very quickly and our desserts came out as expected timewise. I would definitely go back, maybe a little later!

This is a fantastic facility in st neots. The staff are excellent as is the food which is cooked fresh to order. Any dietary requirements are well catered for. Will go back again and again.

We regularly come here for date night and family gatherings and we love it! The food is to die for and the people are so kind and love to have a chat. Great prices and lovely atmosphere.

First time we tried this Italian restaurant and was pleasantly surprised.

I went to this restaurant with 3 other friends on New Years Eve and had such a lovely evening. The food was very nice and the staff very attentive. They always check that everything is satisfactory and are very obliging. I also like the atmosphere and the music they play in the background. I would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely staff, good service and excellent food. Different diets are happily catered for as nothing seems too much trouble for them. I have visited several times and have always had great food.

Couldn't fault the service here, quick efficient and friendly! However, the food was a real let down! Calamari was rubbery and overcooked, salmon so greasy and banoffee pie tasted like something basic from a cheap supermarket! Very disappointing! Food is way overpriced for the quality...very basic. Such a shame.

A very quiet Monday night, but no idea why! The food was delicious, good value & authentic, wine well priced, & the waiter has a lovely sense of humour. Tried the lobster ravioli specials & pasta arrabiata, Well worth a visit.

Went to La Cucuna on our wedding anniversary on a Wednesday evening. The food was excellent and the service was the best we have experienced locally. Being local we have visited most of the restaurants in the town. This one beats the rest for service and all the food we had was great. So no hesitation in giving it a 5 rating. The menu is extensive by the way so no problem finding something.

Great restaurant, great food, great staff and service. My wife and I have enjoyed many visits to La Cucina for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries etc. We've never been disappointed.

I last visited this restaurant some time ago and the menu was quite good and the food presentation superb. Since there have been a n umber of new establishments doing well in St Neots town which I have to say is becoming a far better destination for foodies. The meal was as I remembered although the restaurant was really quiet midweek.

had a booking at another pub at 20:30 but they were not ready so we went elsewhere , no other pubs were serving at that time and we found La Cucina by chance and it was like finding a silver coin in the dark !!!! great food great staff and the chef (being Maltese) made us a lovely meal !!!! will surely visit again when we are around !

Fabulous food and excellent service.. It helps also that the restaurant has air conditioning. We all had a very pleasant experience and would return as soon as possible.

Hi readers, it's been a while since I've had a new up date on a good restaurant to visit!!

The atmosphere was good, service was good, but the food was average Italian. Not very special, taken this into account the prices are high.

This was our second visit to La Cucina in St Neots and it was just as enjoyable as our first. Once again, we were given a warm welcome by the staff, who were very pleasant and friendly. There was plenty of variety on the menu and the food we had was well cooked and plentiful.

Visited with family who live in St. Neots. Service was fast, food and drinks were excellent and they were able to cater for my small children too. Would visit again.

I came here with my boyfriend for a last minute plan to go out. We dine out in St Neots a lot but had never visited this restaurant. The best thing about La Cucina is the staff - they were so attentive, personal and friendly. Every little detail was absolutely perfect. The music was romantic and not too loud, the food arrived promptly and the manager even shook our hands on the way out.

Visiting Sy Neots after 30 odd year delay. Found this lovely restaurant which was superb. Food lovely, beautifully cooked and delicious. The staff were amazing and made our trip down memory lane nostalgic. Won’t leave it another 30 years before we return , !

We have been here for dinner three times now and it is our favourite restaurant to dine in when we visit St Neots due to the food, price, and personal service.

This superb restaurant ticked away in the Market Square has an extensive menu covering all aspects of Italian food. I had the mussels as a starter in a rich tomato sauce followed by vitello scaloppine, with mushroom sauce and finishing with, of course, tiramisu. All washed down with a bottle of Biferno Rosso Riserva -recommended by our waiter.

I recently dined here with several family members to celebrate my birthday. I thought I'd try something different and went for lobster stuffed ravioli and it was very tasty. A few on our table went for the pizza's which looked terrific and they all seemed to enjoy them. I found the waiter to be very attentive and took time to explain some of the special dishes. I even had happy birthday sang to me and had a candle in my Tirimasu. We all had a great night and will return again!

We visited at the weekend on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was calm, clean and staffed by a great waiter who made us very welcome.

Landed in a town we lived in 30 years ago but no knowledge of anywhere for an evening meal.

I had the Spigola all Acqua Pazza, which is a fillet of seabass cooked in white wine, cherry tomatoes and garlic served with vegetables of the day and it was amazing, really nice, would highly recommend it for a healthy, tasty meal.

Ate here with family on a Tuesday evening. Fairly busy, friendly staff , very efficient. The menu had dozens of choices which always makes me wary. I prefer to see just a dozen offerings so I know they are concentrating their efforts on a small menu. The food was OK, but not as inspiring as our usual Italian restaurants.

Was pretty disappointed with everything Sorry I found the menu uninteresting, the service ordinary and the food uninspiring. We won't be going back. Sad

My husband believes he had the best minestrone soup ever here and he has tried it in every Italian restaurant we visit. Everything was perfect and the service was excellent. I am very happy to recommend this restaurant and we will be back on our next visit.
