My wife and I attended Monti for a two course meal and found the food to be excellent. We ordered off the A La Carte menu rather than the set menu options, having calamari to start and a steak plus pizza for mains. Service from the staff was superb, especially from the manager who was monitoring all members constantly to ensure a high standard. The decor and layout was quirky and spotlessly clean. My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the manager for all the help with our reservation and being able to move it at short notice due to our son being unwell on the Saturday evening. We are truly grateful and so glad we got to experience dining in your restaurant. We will be 100% returning in the near future. Richard & Lisa Bars

What a gem! Having driven by this place a number of times, I finally had an opportunity to pop in this Saturday afternoon. A friendly, welcoming place full of happy dogs, happy people and tasty home cooked food.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Dined here with my family (9 of us) last night. We took my two young kids with us. On the way in, the kids noticed the pantry with all the cakes. Not long after we sat down, they asked to see the cakes, so my husband took them. They saw how the pizzas were being made and was fascinated by it and the lovely young chef, gave my boy a salami. They came back to their seats but, my younger son wanted to see the cakes again. My husband took them, HOLDING THEIR HANDS, SO THEY WOULDN’T GET IN THE WAY of anyone. Then, the awful, head chef (old man) shouted for them to sit down. My husband said that the boys were just exploring and wanted to see the cakes. The old man proceeded to shout that if they don’t know how to sit at a restaurant, we shouldn’t take them out. At this point, I asked for the owner and told him that we wanted to leave because we weren’t welcome there. He didn’t say anything and just walked off. A lady, then came over and said that she was the owner and explained that they cannot have kids walking around at the restaurant because the kitchen was just right there and there are hot oils etc. I said that I completely understood, but the way the chef shouted at them was not acceptable. She then told me to ignore him because he has no tolerance for children. At no point did I hear the word SORRY. She just kept telling me to ignore what was said. We had family over from Manchester to celebrate my cousin’s new job and if we had food at home, we would have left. I really wish we did, because they did not deserve our custom. While I understand their health and safety concerns, they shouldn’t have the kitchen so close to where people are eating. When I called up to reserve a table, I specified that there would be children with us. If their head chef has a problem with children, then they shouldn’t accept bookings with children. The reviews I’ve seen in the past about the head chef is completely true. We will never come back to this restaurant as it is no excuse to treat people poorly when they are paying customers.

We opted for pasta and although I know what we ordered, I am not overly sure what we got ! My favourite dish normally comes with a sauce....this was just overcooked pasta. Very very disappointed. Paid and left and will never ever go back.
