What a gem! Having driven by this place a number of times, I finally had an opportunity to pop in this Saturday afternoon. A friendly, welcoming place full of happy dogs, happy people and tasty home cooked food.

Lovely little shop in the front, very convenient after a stroll with the dog. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Very impressed however we found it slightly expensive, close to £20 for two coffees & two bagels. But the overall experience was fab! Thank you very much (:

Not the most welcoming place. Albeit an hour before they closed were told as we entered that they were no longer serving food. Had delicious cake and tea then felt like we were intruders as the lady loudly tidied. As she bought the chairs in from outside we started to leave as did another table to be told oh you have 10 mins. Certainly did not feel like we were welcome at that time of day!

I popped in to see if my terriers claws could be clipped. The lady asked if i wanted to make an appointment or would I like her to do it on the spot Even though she was having a busy day (there were three beautifully groomed dogs under the dryers) she cut my Charlie's claws with expertise and gentleness and within a couple of minutes he was ready to depart, his nails no longer clucking on the pavement Such a wonderful experience for me and my dog Thank you

This is a nice looking coffee shop and dog friendly which is a plus. It’s such a shame when you walk into a cafe and the staff look at you, don’t smile and turn the other way. The first 30 secs of walking into any place will help you to win or lose a customer. You lost our custom. The coffee was a nice flavour but made badly. The tables were sticky from the last customers meal. This has the potential to be a great place if the staff seemed bothered to make the effort.

First booked afternoon tea & paid deposit over 3 weeks before our visit. Later get told they can’t do it & refunded me. That was the first let down. Then get there on the date & they didn’t have a table ready for us. They then tried to sit the 5 of us & 2 dogs on a tiny 4 person table in the corner, on a broken chair & not enough room to be comfortable. Ended up walking out. Complete let down, as I had this planned with my family for my birthday celebration & had to find somewhere else dog friendly last minute. Made what was meant to be a nice day, stressful & a waste.

We have went to Dog & Co to celebrate my cousins birthday. We have been before and each time food and service is excellent. We had the afternoon tea today and it cannot be beaten. Everything is perfect. All freshly made and a brilliant variety. We also took our dogs who had their own afternoon tea, absolutely wonderful. Brilliant service, thank you Abbey and Harry you made our visit brilliant and very comfortable. If you want the best afternoon tea book quickly, you will not be disappointed!

Stumbled across this lovely little coffee shop after an overnight stay in Thorpe Bay. Really sweet staff and a bacon roll to die for!! Yea and coffee not to shabby either but the bacon roll was the star of the the day. Would definitely return and also recommend 100%, particularly so if you have your dog with you as the dogs we saw going in were made very welcome.

Stumbled upon this cute place for breakfast today and will definitely return when I’m next in the area. The friendliest staff greet you with a smile and the food is fantastic. The bacon roll is the best I have tasted … ever! Generous portions and very reasonably priced . #supportindependent

Literally the loveliest place, super friendly staff, and SO well equipped for dogs with lead hooks, water bowls, poo bags, blankets etc. Our Luna loved the "pupcake"/puppacino/homemade bone biscuits. Thank you for the best experience, hope to be back!

What a wonderful cafe! If I could I would move there! 110% dog friendly staff, really know what makes a genuinely dog friendly cafe. Special pup cakes, puppuchino s, a selection of dog drooling treats, spare blankets, absolutely every possible doggie need and desire is catered to. Human friendly too with delicious smoothies, home made cakes and great brunch menu. When we were there someone was enjoying the most delicious looking afternoon tea - which comes with matching “afternoon tea” for the four paws. My dog couldn’t believe how lucky she was and left extremely saggy tailed with some take out treats ( peanut butter pig and cheese heart biscuit bakes)

In fact it’s more than dog friendly, they have a groomers downstairs and sell homemade dog treats. But more than that the food is so tasty and it is licensed. I’m really fussy with coffee but love theirs. Had a small cappuccino which was small, just as I like it, no massive cup of weak coffee. Tuna melt for eats with a small glass of white wine and have to say it was delicious. My husband had the ham and cheese croissant and my mum had the brie and cranberry bagel, and both loved theirs too. they then ordered cake and again was very nice. The staff/owner were all lovely and made us so welcome. If I lived nearby I’d be a regular but we were visiting my mum so I think she will be the regular. This is a must visit, so much more than dog friendly. Oh and when I ordered a homemade peanut butter pig for my two dogs to share, they split it between two cute dog bowls. They are also open in the evening and the menu looks lovely. LOVED this place.

We had an early dinner here before going to the theatre. I was so glad that I booked, as the restaurant was very busy. The service was excellent, very speedy. The food was amazing! I can highly recommend this Italian. We will definitely be coming back!

I'm Italian and quite fussy and often feel underwhelmed when eating in Italian restaurants. Not this time. I visited with my partner, we had a nice whitebait starter and then two plates of pasta, both were delicious. I had the linguine mussels, prawns and chillies and my partner had the linguine with cream of courgettes and prawns. The pasta was cooked to perfection and both sauces were to die for. We even asked for some bread to mop up the sauces (la scarpetta) as they were just too delicious to leave. We had a lovely Campari spritz as an aperitif and a very nice glass of house white. Angela who served us was very welcoming. A really nice experience and I'll definitely return when I'm in the Thorpe Bay area. I highly recommend.

This restaurant only opened under this name last month and appears to have a new menu etc. It was formally called II Palazzo and from the dates of the reviews below they all refer to the "previous" restaurant. Service was Ok but instead of the large dining room shown in the photos we were all packed into tables set out in the former bar area with about two feet between tables. Food was Ok
