The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

I have been going to La Favorita since 2011. Always been a very classic and cozy restaurant that has kept its quality and and quantity steady and good. They are the reason I first explored pasta and now love eating it. I forget to take photos as I jump to eat whatever I order however thanks to my husband Harry I have the prawn starter photo and it's tastes fresh and delicious. I always order various prawn based pastas which are impeccable and Harry has tried roast chicken and steak (medium rare which i have been told is hard to get it right) and along with sides like seasonal veggies and French fries. All have been on point. And customer service has been great and very gentlemanly... which I like the old school charm of the restaurant along with very Italian music too. All in all I go there whenever I crave Italian food. Spend quality time to celebrate occasions with close family and friends. Recommended.

We visited this restaurant on a mid week night whilst visiting Carlisle. The food was delicious and the service from the staff were excellent. Taylor in particular (our wait person) was very friendly and helpful and even gave us some tips for places to visit whilst we were staying in the region as well as providing very good service all evening and kept checking in with us to see if we need anything. Nicky was also great and very knowledgeable on the wine. My husband asked what red wine he recommended off the wine list and Nicky recommended the house wine and said how they take pride in all their wines. My husband wasn't disappointed . He said it was the best 'house wine' he had ever had and he knows a lot about wines. Nicky could have recommended something much more expensive but was honest and that impressed us all. We would definitely go back here. The other major plus was that it is in a beautiful old converted church so the setting was really lovely and unusual.

Relaxed, rustic, local vibe, service was prompt and not invasive, best pizza in Cambridge. My wife was particularly impressed with her little pot of ragu to dip her pizza crust in - great value!

Gran pizza, muy bien preparado y presentado junto con un excelente servicio en una pequeña pizzería encantadora. Deliciosa comida y ambiente.

Lovely restaurant and staff. Cannot go wrong in the sun.

Absolutely love this place, I go once or twice every time I'm around

What a great night! We went there to celebrate my nieces birthday and we had a wonderful evening. Four of us sorted steak and there was one spaghetti Bolognese. The steaks were excellent. Mine was medium rare. It was cooked to a tea and the pepper sauce and fries with a perfect accompaniment. Will be coming back again.

Roj, Dion. and Khalid made the experience so memorable! It was my friends birthday yet they made everyone feel so special and catered to. Please give them all a nice bonus or raise or something for all their hard work! They had cleared our tables and taken next orders before we even knew plates were empty, extremely professional :) Thank you all so much guys, I will definitely be recommending and returning.

We chose Deliziosa to host our small private wedding reception and it was perfect. The food was amazing. The event menu choice was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious pasta and I highly recommend the burrata and meatballs starter. Service was excellent.

The food is always outstanding, always so fresh and tasty. The staff are always to welcoming. Highly recommend this little goldmine in Tufnell Park.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on 19th May 2025. The restaurant, on this occasion, was the venue of a fund-raising evening organised for the benefit of Henley Community Library. Despite the restaurant being full, staff were at hand to greet and seat us as soon as we arrived. We were also greeted by the proprietress, whose name was Bilen who made us feel very welcome. There were a number of salads to choose from and I had both the cold pasta salad and the chicken salad. The chicken salad was particularly exceptional. I could say the same for the mains. I had small portions of their Seafood Pasta and Lasagne and both were equally good. I was quite full by now and was contemplating just moving on to a coffee. Bilen persuaded me to try the Tiramisu which she said she had made. I was so very pleased that I did. It was one of the best I've ever had. Our table was served by Binita and Nafisa who were not only attentive but were both genuinely friendly. We were also introduced to the Chef Amir who came to ask if we everything was to our satisfaction. A quick mention also of Resham who soldiered away in the background helping out. All in all, it was a most memorable evening made possible by all the staff of La Dolce Piazza.
