Piccolino in Trafford

I had booked this restaurant for Mother’s Day - for my wife and both our parents. I arrived and gave my name - no booking. However, they could not have been more helpful and accommodating- which is a good job as I later realised I had booked it for the week after!! So very thankful to them for saving my blushes, especially on such a busy day. The food and service was excellent. We had a minor hiccup with two dishes which were cold - totally new meals arrived a few minutes later, so whilst a little inconvenient, we were happy. The waitress came over and proactively stated that both meals had been taken off the bill - we had not said a word. Now that is brilliant customer service in action! So a lovely meal, good atmosphere and amazing service. Many many thanks.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! From the moment we walked in exceptional! Each dish was bursting with authentic Italian flavors and cooked to perfection. The pasta was perfectly al dente, arrabata nice and spicy. the pizza spain – it was truly heavenly, with a crispy crust and delicious toppings. The service was top-notch; our server Rosario was attentive and provided great recommendations from the menu. Overall, it was a wonderful evening filled with delectable food, impeccable service, and a cozy ambiance. We can't wait to return!"

We had a Sunday evening here and found the food and service to be absolutely spot on. We were a large group of 9 people and the staff were very attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was very tasty and the wine options were a pleasant surprise. Would highly recommend!

Excellent meal that was served. The starters of Bruschetta and aubergines which we shared were really good. The duck that I had was crispy and sweet. It was well cooked and very tasty. My wife had the linguine with clams which again were delicious. Dessert was a trio of ice cream that again I couldn’t fault. The restaurant was quite quiet for a Friday night but with Valentine’s Day happening soon then it was possibly to be expected. The decor and ambience was really pleasing and our server was knowledgeable and pleasant to chat with. Never been here before but will certainly return next time we are in the area.

We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food. It was very frustrating. The food was mediocre, probably could have cooked it better myself. I felt sorry for our waiter as he was trying his best. I made a complaint to the manager and the bill was on the house but unfortunately it ruined our night and won’t be going back. My experience here before this one wasn’t great either, I only came back because there a was 50% off offer. Apparently not enough staff in the kitchen.

Dreadful. Don't put on a 50%-off-food offer if you can't cope with the numbers. We waited over an hour for our main courses. Our waitress however, was absolutely excellent, we felt very sorry for her as she was trying to keep everyone happy. We weren't charged for our food, but still didn't take away the fact that it was not an enjoyable evening. Won't be returning.

Impressed with Piccolino's exceptional service, especially considering how busy they were. The staff remained attentive and friendly, making our experience enjoyable. Waitress was lovely and polite. The manager, Dominic, made us feel special. The food was delicious, we waited a bit but totally worth it! And their ability to provide such an amazing service during peak hours earns them a solid 5 stars. Highly recommend for both service and taste! We would be back very soon!

Went for my 7 year old grandson birthday. The food was absolutely lovely the service was great and they made a big fuss over the birthday boy which he loved and our servers Domenico and Christine so friendly, helpful and polite

The evening was truly delightful. We started with scallops and carpaccio, followed by spiedini and seafood spaghetti. Every dish was outstanding, with the spiedini being a particular highlight. The staff was not only polite but also very helpful, and the managers made a couple of visits to our table to ensure everything was to our liking. We shared a few laughs with the general manager, who generously offered us two complimentary limoncellos. I highly recommend this place; it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Due to a half-price promotion, I visited this restaurant, which boasted lavish decor and a carefully selected, incredibly attractive staff. The sight of these charming employees heightened our appetite. We ordered four rib-eye steaks cooked to medium-rare perfection, a standout dish indeed. The kids enjoyed delicious pizza and pasta. However, despite its elegance, the restaurant’s atmosphere was unexpectedly noisy, reminiscent of a bustling market. The patrons, seemingly oblivious to others, spoke loudly. This collective noise created an environment similar to a busy street market, quite a surprise for such a refined establishment. This was an unexpected aspect of my dining experience that I hadn’t anticipated.

I went out with some friends and it was amazing. The food and drinks were great and we had a lovely time. The staff were really kind, a very nice atmosphere. The environment is excellent and the quality of service is very good.

We went for a special lunch to celebrate my late mother's life on the weekend of what would have been her 90th birthday - she used to love Piccolino's and ate there frequently. The staff were great, the food was too, and we had a lovely and emotional time.

We Cannot thank all of the staff enough, especially Rosario who couldn’t do enough for all our family as he was so helpful, polite, friendly and very professional and a credit to Piccolino. The food was excellent and the wine fabulous and the attention to detail was five star plus. Everyone had a great relaxed time made perfect by Rosario and his staff and we wouldn’t hesitate at recommending Piccolino for any event however big or small as we have visited this restaurant many times over the years but this was the pinnacle for us. A massive thank you from the Williams family to all.

I haven't been to Piccolonos Hale for at least 4years, mainly due to 5je last couple of times there were fighting between young men. I have visited the restaurant in Manchester & Knutsford which have been wonderful. Thankfully Hale seems to have cleaned up it's clientele and the place seemed back to it's usual good standard. The food was great, liver, onions and mashed potato. My wife had the cod, all very well cooked and tasted great. The atmosphere was a little quiet but it was midweek so to be expected.

Amazing late lunch with my lads and 5* service..

Update September 2023 A great place to grab lunch of dinner in fine surroundings with a view. Totally relaxing. First time at Piccolino's in Hale - The restaurant shares the same DNA as its sister restaurant in the centre of Manchester. The fixtures and fittings have a corporate feel or branding that is unmistakable. The menu is identical. We stayed for lunch/brunch eating out on the terrace, this was rather nice. The retractable roof came into its own on a beautiful sunny day that blessed our visit. The service was excellent - that is par for the course in Piccolino's. If I'm to be picky then my Calzone was a little over done and lacked the bouffant appearance that has become customary. Maybe the dough lacked gluten resulting in the lack of the puffy finish that is more aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Having said all of that, super meal out.

Today I was in this restaurant and was disappointed. it all started when we had dirty table. and then our tiramisu looked like this, this is clearly not how it should look in a restaurant like this. Plus, the taste was no different from the supermarket

A very nice place to sit and have a catch up but the food is very expensive for the portion size I know it’s a higher end cafe but it’s ridiculous to be paying £10 for a side that wouldn’t fill up a child. But it was very nice and a good place to bring family or friends

The service was top class as you'd expect. The food however was expensive and average. I'd ajve to say that its a really loud atmosphere so talking can be a little difficult. Great party venue, but not a relaxing, sit down meal atmosphere.

It's POSH !!! If you know what I mean 😀 Service depends on how busy the restaurant is. Luckily, we went on a lazy Saturday afternoon for a quiet lunch. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. My wife is happy, and so am I. Well, for that price you wouldn't expect anything less !!

By far the best experience I have had in a restaurant in several years (and I go out to eat a lot!) Mario was absolutely amazing, going the extra mile and demonstrated world class customer service alongside his colleagues. The food was absolutely delicious, from the lobster+steak and dessert. Also had oysters which by request to have them grilled (due to medical reasons) they were more than happy to do so. Will definitely be back, Keep up the great service
