The Italian Job in Trafford

Had my 60th meal/party here on Saturday, food was amazing and hospitality second to none, minor issue that was resolved immediately and didn’t spoil the night at all. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon.

Another wonderful meal for our anniversary. Love this place so much, the staff are great and the food is amazing. All the years it's been there the atmosphere, service and especially the food stays the highest quality.

Pleasant restaurant but a lot of people in large parties on Sunday early evening, which meant service was a little slower than would have been expected. My wife's lasagne was cool and as such she didn't enjoy it very much.

Been going here for many many years ..from my teens to now 63. Fabulous food. Friendly staff. A regular go to place.

Lively and welcoming atmosphere, cozy and homely. The food was hot, well presented, and fantastically tasty, and the service was quick but not too quick. Definitely recommend the Tagliatelle Salmon.

Came in for a casual meal, never been before, however live very local. The food was delicious and the service couldn't be better. The manager was very friendly and chatty. We were even offered two drinks on the house after paying. Could not recommend more. I am very happy with the Italian Job! :)

Little 💎 first time visiting last night. Nothing too much trouble for the excellent staff. Food was amazing and I usually find something to moan about so credit where credit is due. They even went out of their way to cook the birthday girl a meal that wasn't on the menu which was above and beyond. Will definitely go again.

We Christmas dinner with family and friends that we meet there every Christmas we have been going to the Italian Job for Christmas dinner for the past four years our friends will vet and we do it's great to catch up where you can all be together they make us so welcome

Great staff who dealt with a large group very well.

We visited last Saturday on a works Xmas party , it was fantastic . The food was nice , however the atmosphere was amazing . It was buzzzing and the cheeky chap waiter was a real character . Looking forward to my next visit . 😊

Booked our 3rd family occasion here never fails to impress staff are always attentive very family friendly great value for money. First meal here was 34yrs ago and it's still as good, booked my daughter's 18th, mum's 70th, upstairs had a disco so she danced the night away literally! no rushing to get you out best place in Urmston for hospitality, had work Xmas party's here. Recently had daughter's baby shower here even provided a table for the cake(gender reveal) and balloons booked the party menu 3 courses £22each 27 guests food arrived hot and on time plates cleared away when finished asked if the desserts were wanted straight away or do we want a 15min break helped take a group photo, next girls Xmas party. Fab place lots of space upstairs area aswell never had a bad meal.

A long overdue visit. Dined in. The experience was so 😍 lovely. Still thinking about the carreta folded pizza which was divine and the tiramuso for dessert. Staff were friendly, informal and very attentive. A great evening had by all in our party.

The Italian job has legendary status in Urmston, it was for many years the go to place and has in some sense stood the test of time. But… I can’t help but feel that it is trading on past glories. We went for a Sunday lunch family meal, the first time visiting in probably 10 years having moved from the area, but back then I was a regular. Essentially the menu hasn’t changed in all that time, but the food coming out of the kitchen has. Everything was bland, and seemed to have been cooked from frozen. Garlic bread bases were cardboard like. Pasta dishes under seasoned. Steaks over cooked and not in the authentic sauce advertised. Calamari frozen. Also, a bizarre choice of potato and veg OR chips. Like you can’t have veg with your chips!? Crazy. Chips clearly oven cooked from frozen. There isn’t anything authentic anymore about this place and it’s really sad because this used to be so good. I suppose there’s the memories.

We dinned here Friday evening 😎. It has been a very long over due visit. As always the food was spot on. Starters a garlic bread overload 😋 wow, just as expected, delicious. An array of main courses ordered pizza,pasta, fish, steak, chicken, kids meals & food to go. The staff are so lovely and very friendly & go above and beyond. It was my daughter's birthday, we brought a birthday cake, candles, sparkler for cake. The dressed the cake ,candles flickering sparkler thing going off. The atmosphere was fantastic, everyone in the restaurant joined in singing happy birthday....Highly recommend The Italian job, love ❤️ this place, great value , freshly cooked food...Yum x

We booked a table for four based on a strong recommendation from a friend. The restaurant is deceptively large inside and it has a real buzz of an atmosphere that all great restaurants generally do. The waiter was a real character and once he realised we were up for a laugh we had a great night with him filled with banter. The restaurant is quite extensive and includes much of the dishes that you would expect. I had the mussels that were presented on a plate rather than in a dish with cream as I have had them in the past, however, this wasn’t an issue and they were lovely. I was looking forward to my pizza having looked at the menu in advance and whilst the toppings were great, I couldn’t help thinking that the base had been prepared at some point in advance due to the consistency and shape. Looking at other pictures and the other Pizza in our party it’s does seem to be the case but I’m happy to be corrected. Unfortunately, this did take the edge off slightly as I do love a freshly baked pizza with a fresh base. Overall, however, a really good night in a great atmosphere with generally authentic Italian food. We would definitely recommend and come back at some point.

This place never fails! We came tonight with our 4 year old and he loved the garlic bread and lasagna! I had the risotto which is always just divine and the others in our party had the steaks! All cooked to perfection! Staff were so attentive even though the restaurant was very busy! Best Italian around by an absolute mile!

If you want soggy cold garlic bread, full fat spare ribs, and lasagna with no sauce and looks like sick, Go to the Italian job.

We had booked a table at Istanbul Grill and found on arrival that it had closed down! Called in next door, at The Italian Job, on the off chance that they could fit six in for a meal. To our delight they could, and served us all a very good meal. Very friendly and efficient staff. We will return.

Recently went here for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was lovely and great service. Was quite busy but plenty of staff. Reasonably priced too and had a great atmosphere.

I booked a meal here for a surprise 40th for my daughter, from booking to the actual meal everything was 1st class!! Always got back to me straight away by email, no problem when I changed numbers a few times. The food was amazing, not one complaint from anyone in the party. Staff were attentive, friendly and more than happy to help. Will definitely be returning

This has got to be one of the worst Italian restaurant I've been too! I got a garlic bread to start the amount of cheese was ridiculous the base taste like cardboard no flavour! I then got a pizza omg I've never tasted a pizza so bad, It was like a corner shop bought pizza no taste no flavour I literally had two slices and that was it. Others in my party food was mediocre to say least. This place will never be seeing me again!

Italian job accommodated us last min. 5 adults/6 children. Cannot fault, their food was top notch and service excellent😁. Relaxed atmosphere beautiful decorations very festive. All in all lovely evening ..thank you. Loved our waiter 🤣🤣🤣

Well the Italian Job came up trumps again! They accommodated our party of 7 at such short notice last night after being let down by another local restaurant. We were celebrating my sister in laws 50th birthday and they made it so special for her....

Great standard of food for reasonable prices great for birthdays staff are lovely . Our food did take a bit of time but was understandable as we were a bug group. Kids meals were massive portions and garlic bread was DELICIOUS !

The food was good, calamari was perfectly cooked, I had a calzone and he had a pepperoni pizza and both were really good but the service is what made the place just brilliant! Every server was just amazing at their jobs! Funny, not too fast not too slow and couldn't do enough for you! I was a pain and asked for garlic butter which they didn't do... and yet this server came out with his attempt at garlic butter which was delicious, very happy! Then there's Antonio, what a guy!! Incredibly funny and made you feel like you'd been friends for years! 100% will be back thanks for the incredible staff and atmosphere! Thanks everyone! Lovely atmosphere. Always enjoy my meal. Food made to order. Pizzas homemade are gorgeous. Staff always friendly when i go in a big party. In a smaller group can be alittle hit and miss with service. Still think its best Italian in Urmston as staff do make your time there enjoyable.

Love this place came tonight the staff are great, Tony and Yolanda and sue are so professional and made a huge fuss of my baby. The owner came for a chat and a laugh what a lovely man. Also his young son was working hard and very polite and professional. The chef even sent over some pasta for my baby to try also got a bit of ice cream as a treat for my baby which again was a thoughtful and kind gesture. The staff all work hard and nothing is too much trouble they are friendly and courteous. The food is great and always hot and fresh when it arrives. Great value for money and a fantastic atmosphere. First time diner on Saturday. The place was very busy, and the staff handled everything perfectly. Food was great, service impeccable. 4 to our table and each of us got our food at the same time. We were really surprised at our bill and thought they'd left items off. A great experience. Recommended.

It was a busy evening but we got served in reasonable time. Beer nicely chilled. Starters were OK. Garlic bread was tasty bit too much sauce on the prawn cocktail. Calzone pizza was yummy. Young man was a bit keen to take our pint glasses away without checking if we wanted another drink.

Excellent service and the food was of a high standard. The downstairs par of the restaurant is very noisy which does makes talking to people on your table a difficult experience. That said we will be going again soon.

Exceptional Food! My family have been coming to the Italian Job for over 25 years now and it's always been great. The staff are friendly always look after us. I love the family atmosphere of the restaurant. It's child friendly and the fish tank always keeps my nieces happy. There's a nice ambience for date night also.
