When we arrived with kids the waitress was pretty pushy. It wasn't busy and it was clearly near shift change over as our second server who started about 20 minutes later was much better. Within seconds of sitting down she arrived to take our order. My wife hastily said we'd like some olives and garlic bread to keep the kids quiet. Within seconds she was back to take an order. We ordered drinks but again she was back in seconds. We didn't even have 2 minutes to look at the menu. I don't generally cause a fuss in a restaurant and therefore I ordered a Calzone without having time to read the menu. Worst Calzone ever. Mainly dough, cold ragu on the plate, no sauce inside. Probably the most plain Italian meal I've ever been unfortunate enough to eat. Luckily my wife couldn't finish her main so I ate some of hers. Her Seafood linguine was also below par, but whatever. Kids menu is for under 8year olds but so much food it looked like an adult portion. Wasted 3/4 of the kids meal. I felt bad for the the staff who took over from the lunch shift as the damage was already done. Really pushy and angry. When a guest sits down they want a bit of time to at least look at the menu let alone read it. I'm sure the restaurant does a good job, but on this occasion someones attitude at the end of their shift ruined our meal.

The food, atmosphere, and staff were all not bad. However, a 12.5% ​​tip is added so that it is not visible on the receipt, and I asked twice whether I did not have to pay it or if it was essential, but they all said I had to pay it, using the kitchen staff as an excuse. In other words, it seems like you have to tip unconditionally. I don't know if this is because I'm Asian. So it was an unpleasant ending.

At the table, the service offered by Nora was perfect. Very fast and smiling waitress, which is very appreciable. The dish was good. Very expensive French wine, the price of the glass here is higher than the price of the bottle in France. But maybe it's normal in England

We went to this restaurant for dinner on New Year's Eve on December 31st. We made this choice based on its location and the fact that it allowed us to attend the fireworks. Arriving 30 minutes before our reservation time, we were greeted by the manager. Good welcome, he offered us a drink while waiting for the reservation time. Sitting on the bar side, we enjoyed a good atmosphere and excellent cocktails. At 9:00 p.m., we sit down at the table. And there the nightmare begins. We pay £95 for a New Year's Eve menu and the disappointment is total. The starters are ordinary (mozza tomatoes, it's not in season, smoked salmon; with a dill sauce, that would have been a plus). Then the dishes arrive. We had the fish with my wife. Decent dish, at this price, I still expected better. The children had pizzas, can we call them that? It's a shame, frankly, the pizzas had no flavor. Acidic tomato sauce, no garnish, 3 slices of peperoni fighting a duel, in short a real scandal. How can you serve this to your customers on New Year's Eve? The desserts were good. When the time comes for the bill, we see that we have been charged over £50 for the service. We refuse to pay it. The unpleasant waiter then leaves the table and the manager who had welcomed us arrives. The latter does not understand our refusal to pay for the service. We explained to him that the dishes were not up to the asking price. He comes back a few minutes later with a new addition, the service charge has disappeared. We pay and we leave. I really thought I would be able to have a good time at the end of 2024. I was wrong. If you are looking for a restaurant with taste, look no further. We have eaten at restaurants since the beginning of our stay and have never been disappointed, except here. To conclude my remarks, we spoke with other French people who were sitting next to us. The experience was not good and the poor people, they did not have the opportunity to eat their desserts, it was due to poor organization of the restaurant.

Just visited Locale, on our way out of London. Located right behind our hotel, Marriott London Hotel County Hall. We stopped in for lunch and the meal and service couldn't have been better. We had a wonderful waiter, charming and warm, that just added to the experience! We had the pizza garlic appetizer, gnocchi, Caesar salad, paccheri, and diavola pizza, and each dish was delicious.

I was passing by and wanted some pizza, so I went. I ordered one lasagna and one pizza, and the cheese on the pizza was very delicious. The lasagna was just so-so. There was a lot of food so we both ate and had some left over, but the foreign mother and daughter sitting next to us were surprised to see that each person got one pizza. The size of the pizza is not small... The older male employee kept singing and seemed cheerful, so it was fun... I don't know if it's a lack of qualifications because he's Asian, but his way of speaking and attitude is different when dealing with other people and when dealing with us. It was...

We visited London for three nights and enjoyed our meal so much we returned again before heading home. Conveniently placed near the London Eye and Westminster , book online as always busy. Food is excellent especially pizza and pasta, reasonably priced and good atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff especially Duarte, we will be back when next in London

This was a lovely place! We went for our Xmas meal lunch. It was nice food but felt it was a little rushed people hadn't finished their course and they were already trying to serve the next course. Food in general was good but the turkey was a little dry as it had been under the lights a bit long. Appreciate we were a group of 21 people. Would go back. The young server who served us was lovely!

We had dinner at Locale and our waiter, Flori, was excellent! He was knowledgeable, friendly and super efficient. The food and drinks - delicious-A prefect end to the evening (an evening that could have gone horribly wrong because I left my phone on the table at the restaurant- when Flori realized my mistake he went the extra mile to try to flag me down … with no luck, he kept my phone safe and sound until I realized my mistake and we returned to get it! ) I would highly recommend Locale and the great service Flori provided!!

Family Lunch Before Our Trip to the Life Aquarium Museum We were looking for a place to eat with my family, and we decided to give your restaurant a try. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with some of the food and the lack of attention from the server. It also seemed like the team didn’t fully understand what “dairy-free” means. Our Experience • The Positives: We ordered two pizzas, which were absolutely delicious. My dad had the pasta carbonara with extra chicken and said it was really good. The only thing we forgot was to request that the pasta be cooked a bit longer, as he’s not a fan of al dente—my mistake. My niece had the kids’ tomato pasta, and that was excellent as well. • The Issue with My Mom’s Meal: My mom, who is a fussy eater, ordered the chicken schnitzel (listed as “Chicken Milanese” on the menu). I specifically told the waiter that we didn’t want any dairy or white sauce on her plate because she doesn’t eat dairy—not an allergy, just a preference. The waiter assured us it wasn’t a problem and even brought out an allergy guidebook to double-check. Despite this, when the dish arrived, it was completely wrong: 1. Parmesan on the Salad: The lettuce came topped with Parmesan, even though I had clearly requested no dairy on the plate. This was frustrating, especially after the waiter emphasized that they “take this really seriously.” Clearly, that wasn’t the case. We had to send the plate back for the lettuce to be replaced. 2. Tough Chicken: The chicken schnitzel was tough, which suggested it hadn’t been tenderized properly. 3. Broccoli Coleslaw: The broccoli coleslaw was surprisingly good—probably the best part of the dish. 4. The Price: Charging £20 for one piece of schnitzel, a small portion of lettuce, and a side of coleslaw felt like a rip-off. Overall, the experience was just okay. Some dishes were great, but others were overpriced and poorly prepared. One thing I found particularly disappointing was the lack of transparency about the service charge. I always leave tips when dining out, but I believe it’s important to inform customers about any added charges.

Food was great (calamari then lamb shank), and so was the (quick) service. However, as always, single female diner gets put as close to the toilet as possible. Is this just an unwritten rule?

I was a bit worried by some of the bad reviews. Food was good enough nothing to write home about but enjoyable (I tried the lasagne and gnocchi) prices where high but if you need to eat in this area (around london eye) it's one of the better options. It's unfair to compare it against things not in this area as there isn't much decent around. Staff were friendly aswell.

Ruth and Duarte were the best servers you could ask for. It was my mums birthday and they were beyond accomodating, couldnt ask for a better night!

The food was exceptional and well worth the chance we took. My mother loved every moment being there and enjoyed every dish at the table. From the focaccia, king prawns, chicken medira and Affogato…even to the selection of wine (Gavi). An absolute must try near the eye! Good job, Ruth and all the best with you degree.

Superb in every respect. Excellent advise and swift service by Duarte , our host. The main , a seafood linguine was tasty, filling and substantial. The dessert was simply amazing: a halal tiramisu that has to be tasted to be believed. It’s a sensuous experience for the digestive system that provokes an emotional response akin dare I say it, to love.

The food was nice, however our server was not at all polite or considerate. He was curt from the start and once our food arrived, he asked my husband if he wanted Parmesan on his dish, and when my husband said yes he put Parmesan on both our plates (without asking me…). He then came back after the meal with some delay and threw the dessert menu at us, then rushed off to pressure another table to post a positive review on the spot. When it came time to pay the bill he spoke only to my husband (I assume, otherwise he chose to call me “sir” which is equally as puzzling) despite me having taken out my wallet to pay. He then put the machine in front of me with no amount indicated saying “put whatever you want”, implying he was expecting a tip, after a 12.5% gratuity had already been included in the bill. When I paid the amount indicated on the bill (including the gratuity that had already been added) he snatched the machine and walked away. TLDR: This place was not a good time. Do not recommend.

I've only had coffee here so far, but the service and staff are lovely.

A perfect place to go after the theatre. We had cocktails in the lovely seating area outside before going inside for a delicious meal. My friends had the carbonara which they said was ‘the best ever!’ I had the salmon which was also delicious. Fabulous friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommended

An unfriendly restaurant. I asked if I can maybe use the Restromms because I'm on my period and I need to change and the Starbucks I was didn't have a toilette. The coworkers tell me that only costumers can use the toilette. I was like allright can I buy something to drink than like a water or something. And they laughed on me and say again only real costumer can use the toilette. Maybe they have great dishes but the persons behind aren't that great.

Informal restaurant run by Italians. The menu is based on the classic Italian one, in some courses it has perhaps been adapted to better meet the tastes of the English (and rightly so) the lasagna is excellent. I highly recommend it.

Right behind the south bank busy street with all the big money attractions is this Italian Restaurant. It's on a nice little corner quiet and nice. Because it was a nice day we were attracted by the tables outside. Inside the have plenty of spaces and an open kitchen. You can see all the food being prepared. You can see in the pictures the food we had. The prices are very good for central London. Will be definitely coming back here when we are in London.

I was fooled by the positive reviews given by some Italians, perhaps those who wrote the previous reviews have been missing from Italy for too long and don't remember what real Italian cuisine is like! This Italian restaurant has nothing: neither the staff nor the food. In the dishes you can only taste onion and garlic which completely cover the rest of the flavors. And garlic in ravioli really shouldn't exist! The pizza was inedible. This place hasn't even seen Italy on the map. The only positive note: it is close to the centre.
