Excellent for coeliac and gluten free folks. An absolutely wonderful little Italian, with a real family-vibe. Authentic cuisine with personal service. The gf tortellini was freshly made, and it was fab.

Homemade bread, ravioli, lasagna, tiramisu - all gluten free 😍😋

I visited for a good Gluten Free pasta meal before running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I can say that it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The food was great, well seasoned and full of flavour. The service was great and friendly. I cannot recommend Cotto enough. I will be visiting again if I run in London again.

If you are celiac, this restaurant is your place. Gluten-free Italian style food. The reason is that the owner, of Neapolitan origin, understands perfectly what this disease is and the problems that come with eating in a big city with the certainty that you will not suffer a reaction. A ten for the service and attention. It is appreciated in a big city that is so impersonal and touristy.

Average food Many paid extras that could be seen as friendliness of the house. You pay extra for the olives on the table and for the bread and water offered by employees. PS: I wasn't stupid enough to assume anything about it, but it still bothers me.

Loved the greeting and food. It was wonderful to visit the museum and then enjoy a lunch. It is very close to the tube stop and the museum.

Fresh produce, delicious food, and chatty hosts with a welcoming atmosphere. We had homage bread, pasta, pizza and tiramisu. This place is amazing for celiacs as well with practically everything on the menu having gf option. We can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Visitamos este rincón Napolitano en la gran ciudad de Londres y quedamos cautivados por la calidad y sabor de su cocina, así como el trato familiar y exquisito de su dueño que muy amablemente nos hizo participes de su historia en cuanto a la cocina sin gluten, ya que él también es celíaco. El local es sencillo, sin grandes pretensiones, cosa que crea un ambiente familiar y con un encanto particular. Nuestro hijo es celiaco y solemos tener problemas cuando viajamos, pero en Cotto cocinan con y sin gluten y la comida es deliciosa, encuentras en ella el sabor de Italia. Nuestro hijo disfrutó comiendo una deliciosa pizza, pero también tenían pasta casera y otras opciones para él y pudo culminar la comida con un delicioso postre gluten free (cosa que no sucede a menudo). Nosotros disfrutamos de pasta casera al salmón y una pizza Cotto que no nos defraudó en absoluto. También destacar la cerveza italiana , muy suave y sabrosa. En resumidas cuentas, nos hicieron sentir como en casa y disfrutamos de una comida sana y mediterránea.

The best gluten free pizza in London

Visited Cotto based primarily on Tripadvisor reviews as we were just a walk-in for evening dinner. From the start Cotto did not live up to expectations. The staff attitude was brusque and unwelcoming. We found the maitre di’s attitude to be loud and somewhat condescending. When declining bread we were met with what do you mean you don’t want bread! We witnessed a similar approach at the next table. It made things uncomfortable. A restaurant can still redeem itself if the food overcomes other issues, but here too Cotto failed to inspire let alone atone. We ordered two Italian standards, spaghetti bolognaise and lasagna accompanied by an Italian beer. The beer was warm and was only saved by transferring ice from our glasses of water! The bolognaise was insipid, unremarkable and should have been served hotter. The lasagna was at best warm, tasteless and had a thick layer of unmelted cheese on top. I had to send this back for reheating, which is an extremely rare occurrence, as it was inedible. It was little better the second time around and completely dried out. I was unable to finish the dish, which was stodgy, tasteless and lacking in sauce. Altogether an experience best forgotten. I would stress that this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to give a negative review.

Do not travel a distance to go to this place. They are unreliable. Made a reservation, called them one hour before to confirm they had gluten free pizza available. Drove there for an hour and parked. Walked up to the restaurant. A man stood at the entrance stopping us going in. He said "we had to close the kitchen down as we have no food" WHAT?! "yes we tried to call everyone with a reservation"- told him we didn't get a call and we actually spoke to the restaurant an hour ago. He offered a "sincere apology" with a smirk and said "what do you want me to do I have no food" which was not sincere as if he wanted to do something about the situation they would have called us. They also marked us as "didn't attend the reservation" and we got an email from the reservation website rather than saying they had to cancel it. They are obviously unethical as they run a coeliac friendly spot and there aren't many places to go for coeliacs. But soon this will change.

Cotto is classic Italian that caters to both gluten free and non-gluten free customers. I highly recommend this place if you or a family member is gluten intolerant or celiac. It gives everyone in the family a chance to enjoy a great Italian meal together

Very poor experience - even though I had a booking, the owners refused to serve us as they had a queue of 20+ orders. We’re both celiac and as a result we were left in a very difficult situation to find a suitable alternative elsewhere.

Not exactly pleasant in terms of surroundings, but the food is good and the service is excellent. 1 dish for 2 people is no problem, which was great for my daughter and me, since we are both not big eaters. I think it is run by an Italian family, and that explains the cordiality!

All of the food is amazing, but especially if you are Celiac/gluten free. The owner has Celiac's and you will never feel more at ease knowing that every single aspect of your dining experience is safe. Not only safe, but exceptional. Gluten free bread to start, free. Gluten free entrees. Gluten free desserts. Complete understanding and knowledge of the staff. And every time we have been here, the owner is here as well. When I made a booking for dinner, he asked as part of the reservation if anyone had allergies. Celiac people - this is your mecca for Italian food. Please come and support this place.

We visiting the restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. The atmosphere and welcome was friendly and all the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was nice, nothing special, pasta is pasta and it arrived very fast. The main thing that soured the visit is that before you’ve had time to pick up the menu olives are placed on the table and bread is brought over. What you aren’t told is that you are charged for these when they appear to be complimentary. We wouldn’t have minded paying for olives and bread had we been asked, but to place them on the table and not tell you is deceiving and a very underhand practice.

I was recommended this restaurant on a coeliac group and would like to pass on my recommendations to others! The owner is coeliac and totally understands the need for food to be prepared separately. We actually ordered to take away but I would 100% return and eat in. Pizza was amazing. Thank you so much for your service and warm welcome.

This was a gem of a find!! Working away a and wanted something close cause we arrived late. Team were so welcoming, service was fantastic and food was absolutely delicious! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!!

This really is a piece of Italy in London. No unnecessary decor or faffing around just a huge welcome, very attentive staff and delicious food. So glad the menu pretty much entirely caters for gluten free as my friend is Italian and gluten intolerant. Thanks to Lino and everyone there. We will be back. Grazie

This place is incredible. Fantastic food, great service, and overall intimate/friendly location. Family ran business that genuinely cares. The owner stopped to talk to us for 15 minutes and told us his family’s story. Homemade pasta and pizza (99% of the menu can be made Gluten Free), fresh bread, and olives on arrival - couldn’t be more authentic!! Easily the best place we ate at in London.

Myself coeliac self and 2 muggle friends had a meal superb here before going to see Witness for the Prosecution at County Hall. What a treat! We had a very warm welcome from the owner (who is also coeliac and knows what he is talking about). All the food was delicious. We had home made tortellini and mine came with a little gluten free sticker. I felt very reassured especially having some awful experiences at other restaurants. My friends loved their gluten food too and we will be back! Also, the warmed gluten free bread at the beginning (made by the owner) was to die for 😋.

Correct pizzas and pasta, not worth what you pay

Cotto is a great Italian restaurant and their entire menu has gluten-free options. My parents ordered a pizza with artichokes, ham and mushrooms and some spaghetti bolognese. I ordered some fussili with gluten-free sausages. The quality-price ratio is very good, it adjusts to what you eat. Everything was exquisite. The restaurant is familiar and the service is excellent. From the moment we entered the door they treated us phenomenally, with jokes, super close and friendly. They spoke some Spanish, Italian and English, perhaps also some other languages. They made an effort to make you feel comfortable and to understand you. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants we have tried. To repeat!! Thank you!!

Watch out for late bookings! Accepted our reservation for 8:45pm online then cancelled last minute. Also quite rude on the phone - safe to say, we won't be trying to go again!

Nous avons mangé 2 fois dans ce restaurant lors de notre séjour, étant sans gluten. La nourriture est très bonne, bonne ambiance. Je conseille fortement leur pizza sans gluten, je n'en ai jamais mangé une aussi bonne. Le monsieur qui nous a servi à l'étage est extrêmement gentil et a l'écoute ça a été un plaisir. Firstly, and I mean this in the best possible way, this isn’t a restaurant, it’s like being invited into someone’s home. From the doorstep and back again, I was welcomed and looked after. Not with disingenuous, corporate-drilled service, but with personal, attentive and genuine hospitality. I was offered breads and olives upon being seated and presented with the menu. The restaurant had literally just opened for dinner service and while things were still being sorted, I was never once neglected. I opted for ravioli napolina and a glass of the house red (I really wasn’t up to a bottle and the house was the only wine served by the glass). The former I’d been craving for, the latter, pleasantly surprised with the quality - cooking sherry, it was not. The ravioli was perfect. The portion, the presentation, the taste, I couldn’t have faulted it if I’d tried. The sauce was robust but delicately seasoned, the flavour of the tomatoes allowed to shine. The pasta had just the right bite and the filling was mouthwatering. The offered dusting of Parmesan and a couple of cracks of black pepper were restrained and didn’t distract from the dish. The guy who I’m presuming to be the owner was touching tables, sitting down for conversations with guests, spending time with folks who had called in to collect a takeaway, and injected a convivial atmosphere that is so, so rare these days - it was genuinely pleasing to watch him at work! Thank you, Cotto, for a wonderful meal and for inviting me into your home!

Being gluten free usually means that it's difficult to find somewhere to eat with a good selection of food. However, at this restaurant, everything is gluten free, and it has an amazing range of Italian food. I was given a very warm welcome and all of the staff were really friendly. I had the spaghetti carbonara and it was absolutely superb. I had a bit of a nosy at what other diners were eating and everything looked really good. I'm so glad that I've found this restaurant and I will definitely be back.

I throughly enjoyed my recent visit to this restaurant. A warm welcome was received upon arrival and instantly you are made to feel welcome. There were so many gluten free options, that I struggled to decide on what to have. I went for the ravioli in the end. It was delicious. The rest of my family had different dishes and these all looked lovely. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Desserts again were lovely and I found the meal reasonably priced. We were not rushed to leave and all the staff were so friendly. I do love going to family run businesses rather than a restaurant chain. I can't wait to return to try out the rest of the menu.

In the photos on Google, there's no pasta. Despite not asking for the check and while I was still having my drink, they brought the bill as soon as my meal was finished.

Amazing! I'm gluten-free so this place made me extremely happy. I had the gf bread, gf spaghetti Bolognese, and gf chocolate cake 🤤 delicious! The staff and the owner were also delightful. I highly recommend!

Our last night of a two-week vacation, and my husband found this gem on Trip Advisor. Around the corner from our hotel, we were greeted warmly by the owner, Lino. had us come back an hour later as there were no tables available, so we did just that. Came back and got a sweet little table. The food was outstanding and the service excellent. It was a perfect ending to our trip in England, and we loved the owner. So warm and friendly.

I've been to Cotto four or five times over the last few years but I won't be going again. The steak I had last Saturday was on a level with what you would get at a motorway services, fatty, greasy and never in a million years worthy of the eventual £60 bill. The owner's 'you pay over there and now we can use your seat again' line didn't impress either. Rarely do I post a bad review is all I would say as well......

What a lovely, authentic, family-run Italian. Of course loads of reviews are about how fabulously they cater for dietary issues (me being a coeliac), but the regular food is delicious too (non-coeliac partner loved his pizza and cheesecake) and the service was impeccable. Lino the owner was so friendly and inviting. Will be coming back for sure!

We were greeted by the owner after booking a last minute table for 6. He was really friendly and had a great sense of humour, having banter with us for being late. All of the food was amazing and i have never seen a calzone pizza the size of the one that one pf our party ordered. My carbonara was the best I have ever had and i have eaten a few over the years as it is my favourite. This place has a lovely charm about it and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I feel as though the food is underpriced for the quality and portion size. We would definitely go back again

GBP37.40 VAT and service included (for one guest). Service was correct. Refusal to deliver a proper VAT receipt against cash payment. Asked the owner twice. Rude. Only a handwritten bill, absent serial number.

We walked in off the street, and they were able to seat us. Freshly cooked Italian food. We had mozzarella and cured beef, and baked aubergine for starter, and a calzone and ham and artichoke pizza for main. All food was super tasty. The waiters were attentive and pleasant. The host was nice and had a laugh and conversation with all customers. Price was reasonable. Would go again.

I have visited Cotto a number of times, most recently last month and have always had an excellent meal with great service. There is lots of variety on the menu and also a great range of drinks. Having had some great experiences there, I am going to take my wife and daughter this week (my wife is gluten free so she will be well catered for). It’s worth booking as it fills up quickly.

Amazing place where the owner is coeliac. Pretty much every item can be made gluten free. Owner was very friendly and even spent a good 15/20 minutes talking to us at the end which was lovely! Food was amazing and portions were a good size, I even had to take half my main home! Great place to get the pasta you can’t usually get gluten free in restaurants and so many choices of desserts. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning to try the pizzas!

Amazing food! Coeliac friendly! The dish comes with an extra gf sticker. They have vegetarian options but vegan would be a bit difficult. The gluten free tiramisu is AMAZING! They also serve gluten free bread (decent) if you ask for it and have gluten free beer if you re i to that. You also can have ravioli etc gluten free and basically everything on the menu can be made gluten free! You should defo go if you re coeliac or not - its like little Italy in gluten free.

My partner and I visited last night for his birthday and I can safely say we were absolutely blown away by the food. I had the vegan primavera with their vegan cheese (which was hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had, vegan or otherwise) and coconut ice cream which was gorgeous. My partner had the gluten free lasagne and gluten free carrot cake and was in awe of both and was still talking about how incredible it was when we got home. We couldn’t have asked for a better meal and the owner was very easy to talk to, funny and welcoming. We can’t wait for our next visit! Thank you so much to the whole team at Cotto!

The food at this restaurant is delicious. My boyfriend, who is a celiac, can finally enjoy delicious, restaurant quality, Italian food. The staff are friendly. Food and drink prices are reasonable. Really great restaurant , whether you are a celiac or not.

Very nice Italian with many of the dishes being available as gluten free. Our waiter told us that they have separate kitchens for regular vs gluten free and so could provide celiac safe meals that others can't. Nice to see lasagna, tortellini and ravioli as gluten free options which is not normally the case. We had a pizza and the tortellini which were both very good. Owner was diagnosed celiac 35 years ago and has a good handle on food safety for celiacs.

Service good but owner very arrogant. Refuse to give a proper invoice to avoid pay taxes. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anybody.

A gift for coeliacs 😍 Gluten free versions of everything, including their incredible, FRESH pasta, including filled pastas like ravioli?! Would also recommend the gluten free tiramisu, which was exceptionally tasty. Great service, maybe a lil bit loud. Otherwise perfect, and the GF options are unrivaled.

Hands down one of the best Gluten Free Italian restaurants in Europe. Every menu item has GF option, and the GF option is as good as any wheat based Italian that we've ever had. This restaurant once did amazing Coeliac food. However, things have changed. On our last visit, the food was unpleasant and tasteless. It seemed to have been recooked from frozen. Also women manager was very unpleasant to deal with. The older gentleman owner was not around. He is usually nice. In all, would not recommend.

Incredible restaurant. Everything is 5/5, service, atmosphere and of course the food. I have coeliac disease and rarely ever seek out Italian cuisine (despite how much I love it) because there are never gluten free options. Cotto completely caters to coeliacs offering gluten free bread and everything on their menu can be made coeliac friendly. The service is also incredible, felt very welcomed and very well looked after. I ordered the gluten free tagliatelle seafood and Jono ordered the gluten free Ravioli - couldn’t even tell it was gluten free. Will be going back to try the pizza!
