The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

Have been here often for lunch. There is quite a range of food, from focaccia, to pasta, to salads. It can be a bit pricey but you pay for quality I guess!

My husband and I had a wonderful meal this evening, was heading into town when we walked past the restaurant which caught our eye and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Three courses all amazing. Staff were very attentive. Will be definitely returning.

Came for lunch, the food was poor quality and we had to wait a long time as it was given to another table mistakenly first and had to be remade. Would not recommend.

First and LAST time there! Very poor service and the pizza wasn't that great AND our waiter was nowhere to be found 99% of the time! Two tables who sat after us were served their pizza before us, my husband had to ask another waiter where our pizza was because ours was chatting it up with another one like he was on his own personal time. The pizzas was ready but our useless waiter didn't bother to get them. One of the pizzas was wrong and we had to wait but that was fine because we were eating the warm one. Our useless waiter never came back to the table to ask us if we wanted additional drinks, check on the table or "how is the food".

We visited Prezzo yesterday afternoon, what a disappointment from the days when they were or go to family restaurant. Firstly I have to say the service was great, hence the 3 stars, but that's where the greatness ends. Two of us had the Arancini balls, these were 3 balls, served with a bland creme francie dip, not the Calabrese ketchup on the menu. Strangely the photo in the website shows 4 balls served with the bland dip, I guess they got it half right. The balls themselves were overcooked, dry and bland, there was no unctuous risotto filling. I ordered the Beef in Chianti which should have been served with porcini mash, but I was told they only had the buttery mash, which was fine, but really, they couldn't have got mushrooms anywhere on a Saturday afternoon? Or was it that they don't actually cook anything and had run out of the big tub of porcini mash? My husband ordered the sausage and fennel Al forno, it was obvious that it had been cut from a slab of cold pasta bake and shoved in the oven with some cheese on top, it was still in a solid square, even the waitress thought is was lasagne, no attempt had been made to even spread it evenly in the dish, resulting in a stodgy block of pasta. The seasoning was terrible, the fennel was so strong it completely overpowered the entire dish, clearly nobody had tasted the slab before serving. Moving on to dessert, we were given the menu and were told that 4 choices were unavailable,at 5pm on a Saturday afternoon, how could 4 deserts be unavailable when they hadn't even had their Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime service? Our experience has made it very obvious that many of the items on the menu are bought in ready meals reheated to order with no actual chef on site to improvise when dishes run out. I don't think we'll be visiting Prezzo anytime soon, I can cook ready meals at home for a fraction of the price.

Had a pizza last night on the way home. The place was closing up but the gentleman kindly served us and fired up the oven. The pizza was 10/10.

Best place for eating Italian food , All staff are friendly and polite. The pizza is absolutely amazing!!!! I high recommend

The rooms were notably clean and well-decorated, featuring a spacious shower and a large, practical vanity unit. The heating was effective during my stay. However, the front-facing rooms are subject to significant traffic noise, making it difficult to keep the windows open. Breakfast offered a limited selection, and the pre-packaged muffins were disappointingly expired. While the coffee was acceptable, it wasn't exceptional. The absence of an on-site chef meant the restaurant was closed, and there was no evening meal service. The reception is not consistently staffed, requiring guests to use a key for after-hours access. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, and the large desk provided ample workspace. The room was also meticulously cleaned and the bed made daily

First day of opening after lockdown, excellent food in a nice courtyard, nice to be eating out again, nice Lasagne and a Peroni to wash it down,wife had chicken burger and a glass of red! Nice friendly staff and well worth a visit!

Bueno, así que este pub sirve algunos de los mejores alimentos italianos que he probado, PERO casi tuvimos que rehipotecar para pagar la cuenta... un gin tonic y una pinta era £ 19. 50 ! ! El ambiente era increíble (viernes por la noche) y nos gustó mucho este lugar, pero los precios significaban que solo nos alojamos para una bebida. La comida no era lo que uno esperaría en un pub, pero era INCREÍBLE. Auténticos platos de pasta italiana, arancini, etc. con tanta profundidad de sabor. Qué pena lo de los precios o hubiera dado 5 estrellas...

Arrived prior to concert at the Roundhouse to find it shut. Roller shutters down, no lights on. Booking confirmed by email Luckily got into Nando’s Shocking to take bookings and not be open, or at least email us to say issue :-(

This was great for a pre-theatre dinner. The mussels starter were cooked perfectly and there were plenty of them. My friend said her bruschetta was one of the bet she's tasted. I had the pork belly to follow and I could not eat it all. It was a slab of beautifully coked meat with lots of potatoes roasted in herbs. My friend had a cheese tagliatelle that was very creamy. She loved it.

Tuvimos un almuerzo rápido en Pastation en Tottenham Court Road. La comida era genial, un montón de opciones vegetarianas, pero lo que hizo la experiencia especial fue Andrea — cálido, amable y tan genuinamente servicial. Mientras nos sentábamos, mi hijo Krish susurró: “Mamá, ¿podemos darle una propina?” Le expliqué: “Es un lugar de servicio rápido, amor, pagas en el mostrador y no tengo efectivo”. Pero Krish no lo dejó pasar. Me miró y me dijo: “Tiene que haber alguna manera de decir gracias”. Así que entramos al Starbucks de al lado. Compré una tarjeta de regalo. Volví caminando. Y Krish se lo entregó con la sonrisa más grande. Me recordó: cuando la bondad toca el corazón, los niños no solo se dan cuenta. Quieren actuar. Para devolver. Para hacer que alguien más sienta lo que acaba de sentir. Y ese... ese es un momento que siempre recordaré.

Another lovely evening at Valletta. Steak cooked to perfection with a slightly disappointing pudding. I would love a cheeseboard for one but as this is not an option chose the tiramisu. Sadly the espresso melted the sides of the chocolate and poured onto the plate leaving a rock solid inedible lump of chocolate cookie in the glass. If the server had offered to add the espresso I might have been able to eat the pudding.
