We visited Prezzo yesterday afternoon, what a disappointment from the days when they were or go to family restaurant. Firstly I have to say the service was great, hence the 3 stars, but that's where the greatness ends. Two of us had the Arancini balls, these were 3 balls, served with a bland creme francie dip, not the Calabrese ketchup on the menu. Strangely the photo in the website shows 4 balls served with the bland dip, I guess they got it half right. The balls themselves were overcooked, dry and bland, there was no unctuous risotto filling. I ordered the Beef in Chianti which should have been served with porcini mash, but I was told they only had the buttery mash, which was fine, but really, they couldn't have got mushrooms anywhere on a Saturday afternoon? Or was it that they don't actually cook anything and had run out of the big tub of porcini mash? My husband ordered the sausage and fennel Al forno, it was obvious that it had been cut from a slab of cold pasta bake and shoved in the oven with some cheese on top, it was still in a solid square, even the waitress thought is was lasagne, no attempt had been made to even spread it evenly in the dish, resulting in a stodgy block of pasta. The seasoning was terrible, the fennel was so strong it completely overpowered the entire dish, clearly nobody had tasted the slab before serving. Moving on to dessert, we were given the menu and were told that 4 choices were unavailable,at 5pm on a Saturday afternoon, how could 4 deserts be unavailable when they hadn't even had their Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime service? Our experience has made it very obvious that many of the items on the menu are bought in ready meals reheated to order with no actual chef on site to improvise when dishes run out. I don't think we'll be visiting Prezzo anytime soon, I can cook ready meals at home for a fraction of the price.

Really nice food …good really good cocktail ….really nice facilities ….really nice location …sadly really slow poor service …one starter didn’t arrive length of time between courses was astonishing didn’t have time for second drink as waited so long for it asked three times for bill before we got it . Two weeks ago had similar experience… shame as food is good

We went to Prezzo South Woodford only once. I received permit for my car and manager offer me a table, she asked to double check if we are happy to sit upstairs. Straightaway we ordered drinks and arrived after 2 minutes, she took our order and when we get she came to check of is everything okay. I felt sory for her as she looks so busy, but she found 2 minutes on the end to check if we enjoyed.

Have visited various Prezzo restaurants (and this is our local one) many times. Placed booking online for 7.30pm Saturday evening. Arrived and were seated. Immediately aware of two young children running around the restaurant playing and shouting. Doesn't usually bother me but they were chasing the waiting staff and pulling at them shouting 'come and play with me' - they were not discouraged by either their parents or the waiting staff. They were allowed behind the bar area where they were sitting on the floor and generally getting underfoot. We were given menus but not asked if we would like a drink. After 15 mins waitress arrived to take our food order but we asked for drinks first. All the time she is taking our order these children were pulling at her to come and play with them. Consequently our drink order (when it finally arrived) was incorrect for two of our party of four. I ordered diet coke and was given pepsi - when I said to waitress she took it away and gave me.....another pepsi. When I called her back again she just barked 'we don't do coke'. There was no apology, no offering of another soft drink - just a stark 'we don't do coke'. I said I didn't want pepsi and she looked confused but took it away - I had to ask for the menu again to choose another drink. Now I like to think that because for a lot of your staff members English is not a first language and some things to get lost in translation (I can only dream of speaking another language as well) but service is service and apologies go a long way. When another of our party was given cider instead of pale ale - again no apology. I think the children behind the bar (being played with by the staff) were not allowing them to do their job correctly. Starters arrived and were good and hot. A while later the mains arrived - but the starter plates/cutlery had not been cleared. Instead of taking the mains away and clearing the table, the dirty plates were just pushed to the side and the new dishes placed down. The dirty dishes were then cleared but we had no clean cutlery and I had to ask on two occasions (whilst food was getting cold) for new cutlery to be provided. The staff just didn't seem to have their minds on the job. By this time the noisy children had left and the restaurant was not particularly busy. I had asked for my main dish (which I have had on many occasions) to have the sauce on the side. When it arrived the mushrooms and spinach (to go with the chicken) were also in the sauce - not what I had ordered and certainly not what has been provided on many previous occasions. This had to be returned and when I got it back yes it was separate but unfortunately my chicken had been under a keep warm light and was like shoe leather. By this time I just wanted something to eat as my companions had virtually finished their meals. They all said their main courses were very nice and good and hot. We had dessert and I ordered a skinny cappuccino to go with mine. When the desserts were delivered our waitress told me 'We don't do skinny cappuccino'. I was a bit confused as in every other Prezzo (and including this one) I have ordered a skinny cappuccino and had never heard this response. Either I have been lied to for a number of years and you have been really giving me a full-fat one or again things were lost in translation and what she meant to say was 'Sorry (there's that missing word again), but we have run out of skimmed milk - might I get you something else?' Not just 'we don't do skinny cappuccino'. Had it been couched in a slightly different way I probably would have said - oh don't worry i'll have a full-fat one, or an americano or something. As it was I was a bit fed up and just said don't worry I won't have anything. The desserts were lovely by the way. We asked for the bill and 10 mins later had to request it again - by that time (it was 10pm) there was hardly anybody in the restaurant and some staff had their coats on so they weren't busy. As we left the girl upstairs didn't even look up from her till - we had to call out goodbye as we left. Such a shame as I have never had a bad time at Prezzo, its always a nice atmosphere and the menu is good and varied. I will think twice about returning to this (my local) branch - we have another one in Woodford Green, perhaps I will give that one a try.

I am currently sitting with a party of 18 as we came to celebrate our daughters 16th birthday. We have been waiting over 2 hours. We have received numerous apologies by the manager, he looks depressed as it is clearly understaffed and the evening has been ruined. Some of her friends have come from as far as Ruislip and they need to get home as it’s almost 9pm. We arrived at 6.40 to order at 7.30 and still no main course. We received the starter about 20 mins ago

Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. Meal was served hot and excellent taste

I like all these UK chains serving Itaian food but I think Prezzo is the best. I had an amazing pizza yesterday and my friend had a light pasta - also tasty. The staff was lovely. Definitely I will visit this place again when I will be in East London.

Best italian in Great Britain, it feels like you are in Tuscan or Sicilia perfekt fresh italian food, very relaxed and kind, I love it

The staff were very welcoming especially the manager. The food was fresh and portioned generously. The overal visit was spot on and will definitely visit again soon.

Este restaurante nos lo recomendó un amigo y pensamos en probarlo. . . bueno, qué noche tan fantástica tuvimos! El ambiente era hermoso, muy romántico! ¡El aspecto vintage del edificio combinado con la decoración es simplemente impresionante! La comida era impecable, llegó a tiempo y fue una delicia para la vista. Realmente se puede decir que los chefs ponen mucha pasión en su trabajo. El servicio fue maravilloso, atento y profesional. ¡Deberías estar orgulloso de todo tu personal ya que eso realmente pone la guinda a esta experiencia gastronómica ya fantástica!

Después de llamar por adelantado para asegurarnos de que tenían espacio (me dijeron que no había necesidad de reservar, tenían muchas mesas) subimos los escalones y entramos en un área de bienvenida con un bar, pero sin personal. Nadie para darnos la bienvenida, nadie para guiarnos a una mesa. Nada. Abandonado. No hay señalización para indicar dónde podría estar el personal.

I wanted to post a review to thank the manager and staff last night for accommodating a party of 14 of us which they weren't expecting. The food and atmosphere was good but the customer service we received was the best considering how busy they were. Special thanks to the manager and his teamm for helping us celebrate my nephews birthday and being so accommodating. ordered from menu -roasted salmon ,broccoli peas beans and cauliflower- told cauliflower out of season so not available-(odd 100 yards away local Sainsbury shelves full of cauliflower_ what came was salmon few scattered peas mixed in with BAKED BEANS- when questioned told that how it comes- totally ruined the evening

Just enjoying another lovely meal at Prezzo South Woodford. The staff are really friendly, especially the manager Titch and his colleague Ben who we met last time. It had been a while since our last visit but they still remembered us and were very welcoming.

The service and quality of food was spot on. I would recommend this dime to everyone. The staff do make sure you enjoy our night here and very quick to serve you. i couldn't fault anything on the night as everyone with me was very happy when we left.

Despite the fact that there was a group of 34 people attending my office farewell celebration on Thursday 25th, the service was well managed and the food delicious catering for varying dietary needs and it was extraordinarily good value. The manager who attended the table himself was extremely polite and helpful. Thank you for making it a lovely evening!

In a nutshell, Got there in time but was kept waiting, took longer than 10 minutes to get the order, asked for water twice but never got it, main course took too long to arrive and when we were ready for the dessert the plates did not get picked up after we finished, we had to call the attention of a waitress who never apologize for the delays at any time, could not order dessert (to take advantage of the set 3 course meal) because the whole lunch took too long and got disheartened with the service. After asking for the bill we discovered that we got charged for the dessert we never had, we pointed out this mistake but it was still included in the price, £2.50 in the scheme of things is not a lot of money but mistakes did happen and the whole lunch experience was spoiled by the disorganised, understaffed Prezzo restaurant branch.

South Woodford es nuestra sucursal local. He comido aquí dos veces en el último mes. El servicio es fabuloso, el menú es excelente, siempre nuevos platos agregados. This is a restaurant we love going to on Sundays with our children. The food and is lovely and the service (although sometimes a bit slow) is warm and friendly. The prices are reasonable too.

It was awful experience, the service was disgusting. The fish meal was over cooked asked for another one, the same again over cooked. I asked for a cheesecake without the chocolate sauce as I do not eat chocolate. I already advice them before. But when it came, it came with chocolate sauce. I asked for an other, but the rude man said we did not have any more which are thawed. Just goes to show everything in this is frozen. Also the waiter was rude talking back with a tone. Didn't apologise. Absolutely disgusting service. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. They do not know how to ttreat customers

My son is 9 years old, he loves prezzo at South Woodford. The kids menu has a lot of selections, and the pizza is well made.

We went to prezzo for lunch. Blond lady ask us to share our experience on TripAdvisor. Service was lovely, staff nice and very friendly, very helpful. Our starters was nice but pizza doesn’t cook properly, still was tasty. Atmosphere and level of music perfect. We will back definitely.

This Prezzo is my favorite in area. We’re coming back here all the time. Such a nice atmosphere and stadd are always on point! Even its akways busy, but seevice is still very personal. Thanks for Tich and Karolina, you have an amazing management team guys!

What is going on with Prezzo??!! Can honestly say this was one of the very worst meals I've had in ages. Service although polite was a complete shambles, with dirty used plates being left on the table for ages, even tables where diners had already left. And as for the food that left more than a lot to be desired. Prawns drowning in a cheap nasty tasting sauce (very few prawns) and a vile congealed pizza that again drowned in same nasty tomato sauce no cheese to speak of and some stale dried up ham and pineapple (again some being the operative word). My side salad consisted of a bowl of lettuce 2 slices of cucumber and half a cherry tomato. If we all weren't in a hurry to get to the cinema, a big fuss would have been made. The toilets again not up to standard with no toilet roll and water all over the floor. In all an absolute disgrace.

South woodford branch is brilliant, such a nice building from outside and inside, downstairs was so cozy to spend our evening. A big thanks to Karolina who looked after us, service was tip top, she was extremely attentive, and very friendly, was very nice to talk with her. Highly recommend this restaurant! We were here at 530pm on a Sunday (the 26th) - hardly the busiest time of the day but the service was lax with the most miserable of staff.

I visited here with old friends. There was an absence of staff but as we were so glad to see each other we did not take much notice.

After about 3 months of walking past the restaurant at least twice a day I decided to visit with my partner and daughter. Unfortunately, I wished we'd have continued to walk past it. Positively, it's a nice location / venue / building, the cocktail I had was pretty decent although it wasn't garnished with the standard passion fruit that it should be which led me to believe it may not have been used - based on later experiences. My daughter was rather happy with her pizza and the colouring bits she was given when we arrived so a content child is always a bonus when out to eat.

I visited this restaurant for a retirement party at around 6.30 First impression was what a lovely setting and building. There was approximately 20 of us. The table was pre booked about a month before but the staff were not ready for us. After my colleagues struggled to get drinks at the bar, we was directed downstairs. The table was set right at the back. We was then left there sitting for some time. It was a very muggy evening and a lot of us were finding it very hot. We asked for the air con to be put on but don’t think it ever was. We eventually found a member of staff to come and take our drinks and food order. The food was the only good part of the evening. No staff we’re attending to us during our meal, to be honest I think they forgot we was there. We continually had to get up and request a member of staff to take our drink orders and even desert. Such a shame the evening was spoilt by the team at Prezzo, as it was a very special occasion for two dear friends of mine who were retiring.

I had my son’s 18th birthday yesterday. The food was great, the seating was very cosy. The manager and his staff were very friendly. It was a great evening and quick service. I will definitely visit again soon.

Tonight, my teenage daughter and her friends went for a birthday meal to this restaurant. The food was good but their experience was marred by the attitude of their waitress. She was mistaken in assuming that they were laughing at her; they were not and did try to explain this but she took it upon herself to give them a lecture about respect, including "that she was young once", etc. From this point on the service they received was poor . I am sure that she would not have talked to adults in the same manner. She has jumped on the bandwagon of assuming the worst of teenagers, they felt intimidated and it ruined their night out. She may have been young once but she has obviously forgotten how to have fun.

An utter waste of a beautiful listed building. So much promise from the pretty exterior, but a bland characterless restaurant inside. Zero ambience. It’s saving grace would be the pizza, which was tasty and nicely presented. The bubbly waitress arrived at the table and interrupted my elderly mother, which I found incredibly rude. She was very apologetic when she realised what she had done, however her training should have been better.. Ultimately quite a pricey bill for not a lot of lunch.

I have visited this branch many times, and all time they made us to feel very comfortable. Especially all my familly wants to tell bug thanks for Caroline, her service was very warm and friendly, all friday evening she looked after us and she was very helpfull to choosing our food. Definitely can recommend and its worth a visit again and again!

Este es un sitio enorme, que en realidad es difícil de acceder. Desde la carretera principal tienes que caminar a través de un camino con un gran 'acceso público' no. Puerta es difícil de ver, piensas que es cerrado por una señalización deficiente. Dentro del personal era muy asustado de ver a los clientes en un sábado por la tarde! Resto de SW estaba abarrotada de gente, Pizza Express estaba ocupado, etc.. Después de la inicial de los clientes, miedo real la camarera muy gruñón taciturn tomó nuestra orden. El servicio era terrible, pero el chef estaba sonriente y buena comida. La camarera sacó su frustración por excursión botellas de vidrio en un recipiente justo por donde estábamos sentados cerca de la zona de bar. Ella dejó a las 4:00 pm. . . . Lugar muy raro. irá a la próxima vez Zizzi o PE!

The service and waiting staff standards have really dropped. The restaurant do not seem to have staff that can work an option for apply or android pay on their machines.

Great local place for a pizza or pasta. Also they offer 600 calories meals consisting of a pizza and a salad. Not for very big eaters though. We often go there for a quick pizza or pasta and are always happy. The place is quite grand and surprisingly big when going 'underground'.

We spent a lovely time with friends, on mondy evening. Food was amazing, like always, delicious risotto and desserts! And they’re doing very good deal with a glass of prosecco!! Especially we want to say big thanks for amazing girls, Caroline and Julia, they were very welcoming and friendly, all evening was looking after us. Definitely we will come back here!

I have visited prezzo South Woodford many times and I can't say any bad word about this restaurant. The place and the building is absolutely amazing, service is quick and friendly and the food is delicious.

This branch of Prezzo is in a stunning old building with vaulted ceilings which makes for a great location for a cosy dinner. The service is very warm and friendly - Michal made us feel particularly welcome as we entered, and checking on us throughout. Julia our server was also very attentive and friendly. Food was excellent quality and very decent portion sizes. Would visit again.

Visited Friday night and could not find parking in the limited number of bays available. Restaurant was almost full and whilst there were sufficient staff on hand I don't think there were sufficient chefs in the kitchen as food arrived after 40 minutes. Rating based on food taste and customer service.

We were served by Kate and she was very helpfull in choosing our food. We didn't have to wait long and she was very friendly.

I came in with my friends & we were served by Carolina. She delivered a perfect service to us. Very friendly and very welcoming service. She was very attentive. The food was delicious and catered to all food requirements. My friend ordered a special gluten free pizza and the chefs were able to cater to his needs. Beautiful restaurant, beautiful environment, beautiful evening. Thank you for everything.

We were a party of 8 - half of whom had turned up at the wrong Prezzo (this one) and the others at one nearby! How lucky though as the South Woodford branch is fantastic. Julia was absolutely fantastic organising us a table at short notice and parking for the other people we shipped over. We were then served by Jose who was really friendly, smilie and helpful. The food was excellent and we had a great time. Thanks to everybody there, what a great team!

The reason I gave this experience at prezzo three out of five stars is because:1. The Bruschetta starter we had was average. It was exactly what it said on the menu but I expected all the ingredients to come together and WOW me which they didn't. The garlic bread was hard and the presentation of sprinkled red onions, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella was amateur like flicking paint off a paint brush on a blank canvas. 2. They don't do draught beer :/ #EnoughSaid3. There was a 14th birthday celebration with about ten teenage females who were very hyper, making too many high pitched noises. They were not just irritating my fiance and I's date but they were annoying other customers too. I feel staff should have calmed them down, given them a warning or told them to leave for the well being of the majority of customers. However, what went well was: 1. The water for the table was very good. I know that sounds silly but some restaurants can do this poorly. The water tasted filtered, was in a jug and was ice cold. 2. Pizzas were affordable, large portion base and high end quality3. Jose the waiter was fantastic, really looked after us. Anything we required he got with no fuss. Always had a smile on his face and generally enjoyed serving us.4. There are two floors of the restaurant, downstairs was absolutely fabulous. For couples would recommend the downstairs corridor with the arched brick work, a very romantic setting.

Prezzo is South Woodford is very busy restaurant, that is one of the reasons we are visiting the place quite often. We love buzz and good vibes, we like staff which is sweet and really genuine friendly and food is okay as well. Our last visit was supervised by Michal who was just so professional and efficient. He kept his eye on us all evening, despite the fact that we do not like lots of attention and prefer to be hidden it was just right, we have not been left forgotten or ignored. So appreciated and thank you!

Spent a lovely time with family. Despite it being a busy Saturday evening the service was great it couldn't have been any better thanks to our waitress Kate, who was helpful and kind. The food was delicious too we'll definitely be coming back !

I haven't been back to this Prezzo for a year and a half after the awful service we got, however, last night my sister, who is Vegan, was over from abroad, so we decided to give it a go again. Absolutely impressed with the change of team. Attentive and very efficient. Our waitress Karolina was extremely friendly and very efficient. She certainly made our evening and experience a great one. The maître d' is on the ball and was always around if needed. We spent a good three hours there relaxing and enjoying the wine. The food, as always, was very good. I just love their pizza's. My sister really enjoyed her Arrabiata Pasta, which was cooked to perfection. Not a great deal for Vegans on the menu, but the staff are so accommodating, they will let you know what they can do to accommodate you. I will definitely be returning more often now. It was a perfect evening for my sisters last night with me. Thank you.

We have really nice dinner in this branch. We didin't book a table and it was busy, but they found a great spot to our family. The duty manager was taking care of us when we waited for a table, she recomended vine and starters to share, then we had a small chat. Everything was very profesional: by the time we were seated starters came. Food was delicios!!!!! All in all it was very memorable experience. We will come back here again.

Despite going into the restaurant several weeks beforehand to book the table for a special occasion and check which one we were going to have, when we arrived they didn't know anything about this, so sat us in a near empty restaurant right by the pizza oven! Service was extremely poor - as we were the only people downstairs they seemed to forget we were there. I haven't wanted to go back since. Service has always been patchy in this branch. Lovely location, usually good food but terrible service. When I made a formal complaint afterwards (by email) they didn't even handle that properly - took them a week to reply despite chasing.

This is an excellent venue for client meetings with great food and friendly staff. The red merlot is one of my favourites

The pizzas are awesome. Lovely, fresh, made to order.Shame the n'duja is no longer on the menu. That was "delizioso" as they say in Italy.They used to do hot chocolate made with chocolate balls, but sadly, that has been replaced with powder.Ambiance is classy. Spacious (sometimes a rarity in London).A great place to dine out. Overall: One of the best restaurants I've been to in South Woodford.

Convenient location next to North circular but not affected unduly by the traffic. I have been there several times and always found food good and service very good. Naive ambiance and best seating is downstairs

Our dinner was absolutely spotless. Tasty food, good choice of cocktails and very friendly staff which provided great service. This restaurant is our favourite and will return very soon :)

This is a beutiful restaurant set in a beautiful location. We got a good table and our Spanish waiter Jose' was excellent. From pouring our drinks to ordering our food. In regards to the meal the starts were delicious and our main course was amazing. The dessert was yummy. From moment we sat down to the time we left we felt comfortable and was not rushed once so well done prezzo South Woodford and well done Jose' 10/10 for service

Was seated fairly quickly we was seated upstairs, but was surprised to see better seating downstairs so not sure why they out us there!The staff were rushing us to order drinks and food which i found it very annoying totally give customers space and time to view the menu. The food was okay pretty bland the Greenwich branch i got better service .cant really comment any further as i was not impressed

Went there with my wife for a diner I think third time and always service was very good and food delicious. Loved my Penne Salmon.Restaurant looked always clean and tidy. It's got own car park which is important for the people who travel with the car. I'm looking forward to visit this place again!

Easy parking place to enjoy afternoon and evening with pizza and drinks all in the same place. Great service in Spanish (thanks José) and real Italian food. Recommended menus with a good price even on Sundays. Managers outstanding as well. A place to come back.
