This is my favourite restaurant, the food is amazing and the staff are all very nice! My wife and I come to the Old Docks every year for our wedding anniversary. My Facebook profile picture has been a selfie of my wife and I outside the door of the restraunt for two years in a row. My only little niggle I have is that the restaurant can get a bit noisy. The music can be a wee bit loud and at Christmas they have a dancing Santa who hands out presents. This is lovely for people who are into this, but I prefer just to enjoy their good food and have conversation that I can hear. The Old Docks are very easy to book a table with. I have a child with special needs and the staff are always great, trying to put us out of the way because my child has sensory issues. During the normal seasonal dining the staff have gone out of their way to also turn the music down a little when I explained my child had special needs. It is great to see a restaurant showing such understanding. I don't expect this treatment or for other people to have to accommodate our family's special requirements, but I am very grateful when they try to help us. I can hardly wait until it's my birthday and I can tuck into their sweet, sticky, chilli prawns and steak served with bacon and cheese mash and an extra side of mushrooms that melt in the mouth! I totally recommend this restaurant, it has some of the best food in the city!

We went with our grandchildren on our weekend at Benone. Sunday morning was the last day and called for a treat. Decor is gorgeous, service brilliant with nothing a bother even though we had deviations from main menu. Hyper grandkids, spilled coke nothing phased the staff. Food was lovely. All in all a great time.

Supposed to be a special birthday dinner. Firstly an inexperienced waitress spilled red wine all over my niece. She didn't even have the grace to apologize. The food was hit and miss...some good some not so. If you have any dietary requirements I would beware as we were lied to by the kitchen. All in all an overpriced and very unsatisfactory experience

I decided to pick this restaurant as a break between our trip from Dublin to Letterkenny. What I did not take into account is that the restaurant is what seemed like the middle of nowhere! I wish them however the very best as it really is a lovely comfortable restaurant. You are made feel at home and it certainly is a relaxing place. My wife had the Chicken & Chorizo Rigatoni which she could not finish and I had the Cheeky Burger which I just about finished! Both took a little bit to arrive but be patient. The food is excellent. I would advise anybody to stay nearby and experience the restaurant for a few hours. It is only a pity that they do not have accommodation upstairs! That is certainly what we will be doing next time. The service was excellent and attentive and we left happy afterwards ready for our onwards trip!

Sunday lunch at Becketts was a real treat. The food was excellent served by very friendy and welcoming staff. One of the best lunches weve had in ages. Beef and Yorkshire pudding was melt in the mouth. Vegetables cooked to perfection. My apple crumble was sensational. The 2nd time weve eaten in the Hotel it wont be the last. Give Becketts a try if you like real quality cooking served to perfection. Thank you to all the staff who helped my husband have a great birthday treat.

We enjoyed the food and great service. My wife is vegetarian and the main dish was superb. The restaurant was busy but had a good ambience and dishes were served at good intervals and dishes were of a high quality and appropriate quantity. We’ll return!
