First time visit for us but daughter and husband had been here before and thought we would like it, and we did. It’s a small venue so would assume that booking a table would be essential. The restaurant does small plates of food as well as a few larger choices. We went for the small plates and had about 5/6 between the four of us. Great variety of tastes amongst the dishes which included a whole plaice, chicken skewers, green beans (so good we had an extra portion) smashed and fried new potatoes. It’s a little noisy but a good atmosphere, our waitress was friendly and chatty and knowledgeable. They apparently have a steak night once a week which we might do on the next visit to NI.

This hotel provided us with the worst service experience during our entire 15-day stay in Northern Ireland and Ireland, which included stays in multiple hotels and dining at various restaurants. The service we received was disrespectful and careless. We placed a simple order at their restaurant - a hamburger and fish & chips - but they forgot to relay the order to the kitchen. After waiting for one hour and ten minutes, we were informed that it would take another 15 minutes to receive our food. The waitress and manager explained that the kitchen was too busy, despite the fact that there were very few occupied tables. They did not seem to care about our dissatisfaction and did not even offer an apology. They didn't care about my hungry 11-year old child. Their attitude seemed to be, "we are too busy right now, that's just the way it is - wait another 15 minutes." In all my travels around the world, I have never been treated like this in a hotel. If they do not welcome guests from other countries, they should simply put up a sign stating that only UK residents are allowed on the premises. I will never return to this hotel and do not recommend it to anyone.

Called in to place an order to take away. Sat for 40 minutes waiting during which time i watched the girl at the till swinging her ponytail over food, scratching her scalp and nose with her oversized long nail extensions, and then proceed to butter scones without washing her hands or wear gloves. Wiped her hands on her jeans and carried on. Came and told me then after 40 min, that my order hadnt gone through to the kitchen, and when i said to forget it and asked for a refund, she was very rude. Accused me of being rude because i said i hadn't time to wait and said it wasn't her fault i hadn't received my order. Then didn't know how to issue a card refund, and kept me waiting a further 15 minutes while she disappeared into the back of the shop. Awful experience from someone not capable of dealing with customer issues, she was totally unsupported by the manager who stayed in the back. Food handling hygiene needs looked at. Really disappointed as I've used this lovely café before, but on this occasion the service and hygiene was not good at all.

My boyfriend and I had the best time dining at the Tamburlaine while staying in the co-located hotel (the Clayton Hotel). Our waiter, Antoine, was super attentive and gave us the best recommendations. I had asked for the local beer and he definitely didn't lie when he said it was a good local beer. The restaurant was very accommodating to my peanut allergy letting me know what every dish contained without having to place a booklet in front of me to flip through before ordering. Everything tasted amazing. I’d highly recommend the everything, especially the sirloin steak, the grilled sea bream, and the brownie sundae. Despite being the only staff member attending the tables that was not managing the bar at the same time, Antoine was extremely attentive and quick at serving the other guests. Thank you so much Antoine!!!

We chose Duad to its reputation, menu , association with the Monad team and its on our doorstep. It’s a fun quirky space with its vinyl DJ and off the wall decor . On a purely personal , probably out of date old fogey that I am , I prefer to book online or through a website which made booking tricky as I don’t have instagram. On arrival , the menu was a sort of pop -up from sister establishment Jumon which was enjoyable , but I wouldn’t return for more veggie food. I was really looking forward to the regular menu. The food was really good although the pad Thai was more a chefs interpretation and not totally authentic . A couple of service errors was serving our 2 dishes a good 5 minutes apart and having 2 gin and tonics with flat tonic taken from an already open large bottle ( small tinned /bottled mixers are what you expect nowadays ). However it was nice to receive complimentary replacements free of charge . Next stop Monad methinks .

Right beside the Seaford Library bus stop. I visited for breakfast on one of my days in Seaford. I ordered a full English and it was brought to the table. Not greasy, tasty, lovely tea too. I'd suggest it's a good place to eat before heading off to carry out your day. Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays (from their website)
