The best restaurants serving Indian food in Cardiff South Wales

About a dozen of us for pre-Xmas meal. Lots of variety on the early bird menu, we had a wide range of starters and mains and everyone enjoyed everything. My chicken 65 was hot, spicy and tasty, kholapuri also great - but the green chillies were a bit much for me. I left nothing but they offered boxes for those who didn’t manage all theirs. Mrs T having hers reheated for tea today. Well done to Jashaan.

Great food, worth the walk out of town. Staff are brilliant! Proper traditional Indian restaurant! Atmosphere was great too.

Absolutely love the food from Tiffin Meal, it is the highlight of my week. The chicken tikka loaded fries are some of the best things I've eaten this year so far! Everything I have tried so far is delicious!

The halal restaurant had a great homey feel with a wide range of traditional street foods and an assortment of the classic and modern sweet treats. The girls went for a proper desi sunday brunch and were not disappointed. The puri were hot and light (not greasy), the chana was nicely seasoned and flavourful and the hawla was well balanced. The uncles were attentive, welcoming and provided great service. We will inshallah hope to come back in the future.

A great find - local spot serving great coffee, snack and pastries. We were surprised with the coffee quality and how well it’s made as usually community venues don’t do it well! Worth stopping by on your way passed

Just had meal delivered from Desi Balti. Absolutely delicious arrived hot and on time, lovely food every time. Thoroughly recommend

Table for 8 booked for 7pm. Although very busy table was available on arrival. Service efficient and friendly. Food was really tasty and just the correct quantity .

buena comida. El personal es amable y la comida es increíble. El pan naan está recién hecho delante de ti. los curries también se hacen frescos. Hay muchas opciones y el precio también es excelente. Este se ha convertido en mi nuevo lugar indio favorito.

Visita decepcionante. Había estado aquí un par de veces en el primer año de apertura y siempre tuve una gran experiencia. El servicio fue desagradable en esta ocasión por desgracia. También me decepcionaron los mini poppadoms que sabían como si hubiera podido comprar en Home Bargains en una bolsa. El entrante de carne parecía exagerado y seco. Los platos principales eran sabrosos pero pequeñas porciones. Le había dicho a mi compañero de comedor lo bueno que era este lugar en visitas anteriores, pero lamentablemente no hoy. ¡Qué pena!

We used to love coming to Karakchai with friends and our little ones, however since last year it has become disappointing due to the significant increase in prices. We don't feel like we are getting the quality of food and portion sizes for the high prices.

Had a very good meal here last night. The portions aren't huge (especially starters and dessert) but they are all very good with interesting flavours. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Went here for my birthday on Saturday lovely food great service highly recommend this place will going back soon
