I ordered chili chicken and chicken noodles, and they were amazing. The chili chicken, in particular, brought back a wave of nostalgia.

Absolutely gorgeous food and friendly staff. We had butter chicken and chicken jalfregi, garlic naan bread was soooo good. First visit but won’t be our last!

I had a business meeting booked in Chai Social and since it has changed from Mint and Mustard I didn’t know what to expect. Firstly, I had the warmest welcome from the lovely Raj who couldn’t do enough. He was on hand, not just to make sure I was fed and watered but also helped me set my projector up. Whilst I was waiting for my guests to arrive Raj served me a chicken tikka starter. I have to say, I don’t think I have ever tasted such a delicious tikka. I enjoyed every single mouthful. I then tried a mixed starter plate which had a bhaji, the most delicious cheese ball, not sure what it was but I could have eaten a plateful! As I was there for a meeting I was too busy seeing to guests, so didn’t get to eat any more. But from the experience of the first class service and the freshly made cuisine, not to mention the wonderful ambience, I can’t wait to go back. Hands down one of the best curry houses in Cardiff. Thank you to Raj and the team for the wonderful hospitality.

Delicious Indian food , I had crispy cauliflower starter and a lamb shank with pilau rice. Others in our party had a very fragrant biryani. Staff very helpful and friendly . Reasonably priced for high quality food. Highly recommend it .

We went on a Saturday evening. Place was busy but the service was quick and efficient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. I look forward to our next visit.

We love Chai Social , we visit frequently and they are always excellent . We've been as a family (with a toddler) regularly and they're always welcoming with him - little things like bringing his food out asap , engaging with him and letting him order are so thoughtful in a way a lot of restaurants just aren't so they keep getting our custom . We've visited with friends , groups , birthdays - its always a great experience and we encourage you to visit . Best dishes : Coconut Curry (I'm addicted) , Grandma Curry ,Dirty fries & Kati Rolls

Fabulous menu and food. A varied of unfamiliar dishes and familiar names, with a twist. Really delightful service too. Would be back any time visiting the area.

My favourite restaurant in Cardiff. The staff are super friendly and provide an excellent service. The food is beautiful, with rich flavour using quality ingredients at a fair price. For starters we shared, as always a Pakora Scotch Egg, homemade and absolutely delicious (would love one each but need to leave room for mains!) . Main course we had the hunters lamb and railway lamb curries with rice and naan. The lamb was melt in your mouth in a delicious rich sauces. Cocktails good too, and with 2 for £10 doesn’t break the bank. Keep up the good work, will be back very soon

Great menu with a good variety of slightly different Indian inspired dishes. Nice decor and atmosphere, friendly and not too formal. Good value for money

Amazing food, organised and friendly. Our party was large, but it was made easy at the restaurant through their organisation. They have a great space at the back for a private booking for up to 40 people. Outstanding.

Amazing food. The coconut chicken curry is incredible. Best coconut curry I've ever had. My husband had the thali which was varied, massive and tasted amazing.

Me and the family came here for lunch from the express menu, and everyone thought it was delicious. Showed me what an authentic curry was meant to taste like, such rich and deep flavours, incredible. Staff were very kind and friendly, and the place had great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back for a future birthday and trying the dinner menu. Thanks for a good time :)

Been here a number of times now and I always feel so welcome. The food is amazing and the whole restaurant has a really fun but authentic vibe to it. Hightly recomend.

What a fabulous evening we had at Chai Social tonight when 7 of us got together for a pre-Christmas meal!! Service was exceptional and food was fantastic/ thank you so much for making it such a great evening! We will be back!!

Had a lovely evening with good food and 80s and 90s music in the background. What’s not to like? The staff were universally great and explained the menu well. The small plates were very tasty. The dirty fries were yum. The main courses are cooked and served in a clay pot. All very tasty with thin and delicious naan bread. Will happily go back and recommend to anyone.

Starters were mediocre. However, the clay pot curries we something special. Myself and my partner had different curries and both we bursting with flavour.
