The best restaurants serving Indian food in Meadows / Morningside Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

Chaskaa is my number 1 curry take away service. Like most Indian curry lovers, I have tasted many curries throughout Edinburgh and Chaskaa Punjabi Murgh - one of their specials is the best I have ever had and will continue to have. Their Chicken Pakoras are the best we have ever had, just as the onion bhajis were delightful. I have recommended this place to work collogues who have visited the restaurant to eat in and loved my recommendation: Karahi, Punjabi Murgh, both dishes they loved. I have been in the restaurant to collect my order and the staff are the best, I mean really could not get nicer people, very friendly and who take the honour of serving you, the same goes for the delivery person , we have seen a few different drivers and every single one of them makes you feel like 5 star service, the food, the packaging, the staff, everything is perfect. I would recommend. Just an FYI, you get money back on each order, its like a points loyalty system, on average we get £2 on each order back into our chaskaa account, it feels great after a few orders you end up with a free curry or even a free meal.

The food was 100/100! Staffs are very friendly & attentive. Service was superb. Nepalese hospitality. Will definitely come back soon.

Arrancador estaba bien - Principal muy pobre - como frascos de salsa de curry mezclado - cero cebolla, pimienta o chile que se ven en nuestro jalfrezi. Era como salsa agridulce - naan y café estaban bien

Wow this was the best Indian food I have eaten, the service was excellent and the food was delivered to us quickly. The food was so tasty with just enough quantity. I can’t recommend the restaurant enough, I can’t wait to come back!!

Fuimos aquí para un almuerzo rápido y tuvimos dosa y gobhi Manchurian. La comida estaba saboreando y Mohan fue rápido en el servicio. Las tarifas también tenían un precio razonable. El tamaño de la porción fue suficiente para una persona. Debo intentarlo al menos una vez si estás cerca.

On visiting the restaurant recently I noted it has now closed. No point in visiting and looking for an Indian restaurant as a new one has taken its place

Bit of a throwback to Indian restaurants of the 1990s, dated decor, bland and poorly spiced food and sexist staff who barely acknowledged that my wife existed throughout our meal. Will not go back.

Currys grate. Onion bhaji are best i have had. Garlic nan is not grate dry and flavourless if am honest. Got the fish pakora tonight and they taste life they were frozen and heated in a microwave bit of a let down. Grate shop But Fresh is best

Esta comida fue una vergüenza absoluta. Hice el pedido a las 6. 15 con tiempo de entrega de 45 - 50 minutos, así que estaba esperando mi pedido alrededor de las 7 pm Mi pedido no había llegado así que llamé al restaurante a las 7. 44 para que le dijeran que el conductor estaba en camino. A las 7. 47 el conductor llamó y me dijo que había puesto la dirección equivocada en orden y se perdió! Le pedí que confirmara el código postal y la dirección, pero aún así me dijo que estaba dando la dirección equivocada! ¡Entonces continuó conduciendo buscándonos! Recibí otra llamada a las 7. 56 pidiéndome que confirmara mi dirección de nuevo y me dijo que estaría allí en breve. Mi madre y yo nos paramos en el camino de entrada y vimos al repartidor sentarse al final de la calle. Volvió unos 5 minutos después y básicamente nos tiró la comida. Cuando le dijimos que nos preocupaba que hubiera estado conduciendo durante al menos 15 minutos, ¡nos dijo que no era su problema! Cuando desempaquetamos la comida, las patatas fritas de arroz y el pan nann estaban fríos como piedras, la nann era tan dura que no era comestible! La salsa para el biryani se había derramado completamente sobre el fondo de la bolsa dejando solo verduras secas en el recipiente. Llamé al restaurante para quejarme y me dijeron que no había manera de que el conductor fuera grosero y la comida no podía estar fría y no había nada que pudieran hacer. Su manera era horrible.
