Amazing food EVERY TIME! reasonable prices and lovely atmosphere!!!! Went with my girlfriend and we’re gonna recommend to all of our friends.

Absolutely amazing! All the food is incredible and delicious. It can be loud or busy at times but I think it is completely worth it. A very authentic taste of Indian food in a lovely restaurant, what's not to like? I recommend everyone to come here at least once in their life to experience some of the best food in Edinburgh!

Best lamb curry I’ve had for ages. Other dishes are also available and the ones I had were very good

The restaurant is beautiful and elegant, and the service is excellent. The shrimp, biryani, and naan bread are at the highest level. They have two branches in Edinburgh, and I tried them all at the same excellent level.

Always reliable....get choice of quirky and more standard dishes based on street food, and very reasonable prices. Staff are lovely.... definitely one of those go to places.

I visited with my colleagues, and we had a fantastic time. The vibrant ambiance and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We shared a variety of small plates, from spicy Chicken Lollipops to tangy Chilli Paneer, each bursting with authentic Indian flavors. Nothing to write. Food was ok, service was late plus no one was speaking for 15 mins while we were waiting to order to be honest it was empty only few people in the restaurant. You have got lots of other Indian restaurants to try nearby so please look out for options if you are in Edinburgh city Center.

Authentic Indian Food made with preference as per the customer. We tried Butter Tandoori Roti with Saag Paneer and Aloo Gobhi Matar and Salad with a Shikanji Drink and we loved it ♥️

The food is very nice. I have not eaten Indian food for a long time, but to be honest, their food is clean and the place is wonderful. We were greeted by Babu and he was very wonderful, smiling and helpful. I recommend the restaurant 👍🏼

Indian tuk tuk return. Be careful to spice it up, even dishes that are not normally spicy. Fast and clean service. Simple but effective decor. Very noisy if full. 10 minutes from central Edinburgh on foot.

Asians sit near the entrance. I came first, but the food arrived after the third group. I heard something like nose hair came out of the orchid, so I regret not taking a picture. If you want to feel a subtle sense of discrimination, I recommend visiting.

We lunched here between shows at the festival. Serving staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We went for a selection of small plates and they were all very tasty.

This place had no business being THIS GOOD😍 The food was out of this world, the service very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely and lively. They recommend 2-3 dishes per person (my husband and I did 1 starter, 2 mains and 2 sides) and it was all SO GOOD!! Special mention to the puri yoghurt bomb and the chilli cheese naan.

Went to TukTuk for dinner on a friday night around 7 and it was jam packed. Luckily we had our reservations and it didn't take long to find a table. Service was excellent and made us feel welcome. We had a bunch of starters and one main-ish dish. We were avised that the food was tapas style and 2 or 3 dishes per individual would be good. They don't serve alcohol but happy to accommodate BYOBs. We got the Pao Bhaji (good), bengali fish chop (excellent), chicken 69 (very good), samosa chaat (good), and the lasooni lamb (good) with some roomali roti (very good). I also got a masala thums up, which is a spiced up version of an Indian soft drinks. I liked the street-food snackiness of the dishes. The taste was pretty similar (though not entirely similar) to the versions one can find back in India. Good eating. Fills up both your tummy and soul. Bathrooms downstairs, could be a little cleaner.

We eat here very regularly, most of the time for a collection. The butter chicken is always divine, and the other curries are great too, especially the lamb. The garlic naan cannot be missed. Always friendly service too.

I am a usual customer of this restaurant and I order a lot online. However today I unfortunately got a lot of hair in the butter chicken which is very unhygienic. Please double check the kitchen on their preparing processes.

Very pleasant and smiling service, tasty and very well cooked menu which allows you to taste lots of different things (be careful, we were surprised by the spices!). I highly recommend!

Very good service. Our server was helpful when he knew we were traveling and recommended few good places in the town. Do try puri yogurt bombs. It’s too refreshing and very good food. Masala chips was another good item

Our third visit and our first inn two years. Nothing had changed, we were even seated at the same table without asking. Not a busy night and as a result our order was lodged as soon as we had perused the very interesting menu. We opted to share three starters and three mains plus some sides and a glass of mango lassi each, together with sparkling water. The food was quickly served and we were delighted with our choices including Tuk Tuk Samosas, Puri Yoghurt Bombs (served cold), Bombay Chilli Chicken, and Baby Aubergine & Potato. The food was great, the service was prompt and friendly and we couldn't finish the food it was so plentiful.

Nice place for those who fancy spicy indian food. The food comes on small portions just like the street food in India, so make sure you order multiple dishes. The prices are decent.

We popped into the Edinburgh Toll Cross restaurant on our way out. The service was immaculate, the staff polite, professional and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious, in particular the Railway curry which was divine. We had 2 main dishes each, a naan and pilau rice. We hadn’t realised that it was BYOB but were told that there was an off license nearby, if we wanted it. We chose not as the range of soft drinks was perfect for what we wanted. Highly recommend this restaurant and will try the delivery option as well.

We got the lunch combo, which i think is a good portion for one person. Food is also very tasty

For the first time I felt that there should be an option to give more than 5 stars. This was simply awesome and mind blowing. I don't think I had better chaats than this place outside of India. Loved everything that we had - lassi, dahi Puri, samosa chaat, dal makhni and naan. People are lucky to have this restaurant here.

A cute little place in Edinburgh to satisfy your street food cravings. The food is really good, the chicken biryani was so flavourful. Also the “Puri Yoghurt Bombs” was delightful. Loved it. For all the Indians coming here, do give it a shot.

This place rules. My wife and I eat a lot of Indian and were excited to try this place after hearing good things. It's essentially fast food... Inexpensive compared to a lot of places and served quickly. Service is friendly and the food is better than a lot of places that cost twice as much. Everything we ate was terrific but the Bombay Chili Chicken is to die for.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Tuktuk Indian Street Food Restaurant. I ordered Pav Bhaji, expecting to enjoy the full dish, but to my surprise, only the Bhaji was delivered, without the essential Pav. This incomplete order was frustrating, and I immediately called the restaurant to address the issue. Unfortunately, the customer service was far from satisfactory. I spoke with an employee named Suresh, who, instead of assisting me, managed to involve my parents who are currently on vacation. Suresh spoke to them in a very disrespectful tone, showing a complete lack of professionalism. Rather than resolving the problem, he abruptly cut the call, leaving us feeling disrespected and unheard. This experience has left a sour taste, not because of the incomplete order, but due to the rude and unhelpful behavior from the staff. I hope the management takes note and improves their service quality, as this kind of customer treatment is unacceptable.

My wife and I had dinner today. We were craving Indian food and unexpectedly found this restaurant. It was a wonderful experience. We especially enjoyed the mutton garlic and raita.

Geschmacklich war alles gut aber das mildeste was sie haben war das schärfste was ich je gegessen habe. Mir war nach dem Essen sehr übel und kann dieses Restaurant wirklich niemandem empfehlen der nicht schon sein ganzes Leben lang sehr scharfes Essen gegessen hat!! Die Portionen sind auch sehr klein und es war nicht wirklich billig.

Really great experience for my brother's graduation dinner! Very big portions they said 2/3 each but we ended up taking home 3 containers of food so definitely make sure to be hungry! Very fast service and very busy so quite loud.

This was the first restaurant we entered after arriving on Edinburgh. The food was tasty and the athmosphere nice.

Reasonable selection of food some with a twist like onion and kale bhaji that was really nice. The staff curry was flavour some and the nan breads were tasty but not a lot of garlic on them

Well that was disappointing. Tiny portions, relatively bland and really bad service. I’m sure you can find better. Style over substance.

The best Indian restaurant in the town

The restaurant is halal, the food is delicious, the service is fast, and you can ask them about the temperature of the food and everything is cooked fresh. The staff are cheerful and helpful. They explain the dishes to you if you don't know them and suggest special dishes for children. The place is spacious and beautiful, and the prices are acceptable, but the quantities per order are small, almost enough for one or two skinny people. It is worth the experience and its proximity to the center makes it an excellent choice.

Food was wonderful! I grew up in India and was craving street food that I remembered and I was not disappointed. Service was exemplary also. I would highly recommend Tuk Tuk Indian Street Food.

Food is great The staff told me each person has to get 3 plates, and we were 5 persons so we ordered 15. It came out that 2 per person is more than enough Overall is good and would recommend to try it

Ooolala, what an incredible place. We ordered way too much food, 4 mains and 2 starters for 2 people, along with a Naan and a rice. But we don't regret any of it, because all of the food was tasty, the meat was tender, and the prices were very fair. Byob, so bring beer, water, juice or whatever. The service was quick, friendly and made us want to return.

TUK TUK was about the most authentic India food I have tasted. I had the lamb birayani and had to eat it slowly just so that I could savour the taste of every bite. Do give them a try

Love this place so much. I've had two delicous meals here. byob which is good. Service is great/friendly. I have no problems recommending this place. The one thing i would change is I would add a rug to the floor or art on the walls purely as sound dampener. The environment gets really loud. Its densely seated which isnt a problem but the walls floor and ceiling bounce so much noise around. Everyone ends up shouting to be heard, the atmosphere is quite loud even when there aren't many people in.

Just had chicken chilli, samosa chat, chicken lollipops and garlic naans. Excellent food👌🏻. Samosa chat was really impressive😋❤️.

We tried various dishes but not up to the real taste. One of the staff member asked us on the taste and we have explained what is not good and advised to make it better but seems no positive response from the staff felt bit bad but please try to make it better.

Had a good experience at Tuk Tuk. We tried some of the iconic Indian street food items. Everything was good but the Chilli Cheese Naan and Chicken Curry stood out. The service was nice. It was a bit hard to find parking near by. Overall good experience but quantity could be improved considering the price.

Not great, food was ok, all gravy curries It tastes like tomato sauce, I'm not a fan of that taste. Chat was good and deserts are also good, compared to fare quantity is less

For work reasons I was in Edinburgh a few days ago. I entered this restaurant and I was delighted with the food, the service and the atmosphere of this place. I ordered some samosas and some lentils that were delicious. It is 100% recommended. If you are in Edinburgh and you like Indian cuisine, be sure to go.
