Really good freshly cooked food and very attentive staff. The portions were generous and very tasty. The restaurant was comfortable without intrusive music

I live local and in Morningside we are spoilt for restaurants. Wanted a light supper and this place delivered in spades . Great you can BYOB and NO corkage how good is that !!! Seriously impressive. Then you’ve got the service as soon as we arrived water ice bucket smiles attention ++++ We had tandoori prawn starter 3 lovely king prawns fresh little salad with a slice of lemon and a lovely cool yoghurt dip gorgeous £7.95. We then shared fresh portion of steamed rice 2.10 and a plain chapatti £1.55 BARGAIN. With this we shared one of there most popular dishes North Indian Garlic Chicken £7.95 fresh tender spicy with a lovely sauce first class As I said we wanted to have a light supper for two and it was ample for us . This restaurant is currently finalist for the best South Asian Restaurant in the East without question they would indeed be worthy winners . Picked this place because of the reviews. Its BYOB, something we will remember for next time. Food was just fantastic, the young waiter was very good and attentive. An easy 5 star review. Busy place for a Wednesday evening. We will be back. Its mostly smaller tapas style plates, but we were stuffed by the time we left. The fish curry and chicken tikka were dynamite!!

My friend and I had a delicious meal with excellent service. Admittedly there was only one othe table occupied at the time. One thing I would spotlight is the mango Lassi, it was wonderful.

Been to a few Indian restaurants this was by far the best, food was absolutely unreal from start to finish, customer service was amazing ! Went for dinner on Thursday 16 May 2024. We'd been at nearby Churchhill Theatre. A wee bit disappointed with overall experience to be fair. Nothing was bad, but nothing grabbed us as exceptional. Tapas style Indian, but our dishes just lacked a wee bit bite and oomph, including garlic chilli chicken. Restaurant very clean and staff attentive. Would use again, but not as a first choice.

Masti Indian Restaurant exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The decor is modern yet retains a traditional Indian touch, creating a lovely dining atmosphere. We started with the samosas, which were crispy and filled with a savory mix of potatoes and peas. For the main course, the lamb curry was tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with freshly baked naan. The highlight was definitely the mango lassi, a refreshing and sweet end to our meal. We booked a table on line and specifically requested a table away from large groups. We arrived and were put beside a large and extremely noisy group. We could not hear to converse with each other. In addition, the food was over spicy. Not a good experience.

One of the best Indian meals I've ever had and, undoubtedly, the best service I've experienced in years! The food was plentiful, hot and delicious. The service, from the moment we walked through the door until we paid the bill and left, was friendly, prompt, and efficient. If I could give this restaurant 6 stars for quality, quantity, and overall dining experience, I would.

Never disappointed with the delicious food at Masti. Arthur and I have been there lots of times, both the one in Morning Side and the one in Dundee Terrace Edinburgh. The Staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming. Excellent service and quality guaranteed. We highly recommend you give it a try. You will definitely return.

Stopped off by chance on the number 11 bus on the way back to Morton Hall after the rugby, It was very busy but they made room for us, The food was fantastic, possibly one of the tastiest madras dishes I've ever had, excellent service will definitely be back on our next trip to Edinburgh.

Great Indian food - would argue it’s more classic/takeaway style, rather than “street” food or tapas as advertised. Enjoyed all the main food we tried, which was all very tasty and appealing, especially the paneer. We ordered starters too which were a little filling, and the fish starters were a little underwhelming - would probably just get mains next time. Service was efficient and pleasant enough, but lacking an extra 5 star touch - unless apparently you’re someone the stuff know already as there definitely favouritism to one table. The setting is clean and modern, but very simple and would be easy to forget you’re in an Indian restaurant.

I have booked a table for four at this restaurant three times using their online booking system. On all occasions, I was phoned at short notice saying they had no table available and would not be able to let us come until much later. This is very frustrating when you make arrangements with friends to meet at restaurants. I would not rate this place at all.

We have been to Mastis Morningside a few times now, with different couples and on our own. The food,the staff and the service is second to none. We have just been today( 19th Oct 2023). And we were not disappointed.

This is a great choice for Indian street food. Much nicer way to eat to have several small dishes rather than one curry. The food is very tasty and the owner is very enthusiastic and attentive. Great service but sometimes a bit busy… the price of success.

This was a great find, the service and food were equally gorgeous, garlic naans delicious, black lentil Dahl delicious, but so were the various meat dices too (it’s says BYOB on the window) but also has a full bar. We will definitely go back next time we visit Edinburgh
