Randomly stumbled upon this gem after hiking Arthur's Seat. Tried the veg cMomo, veg chowmein and kothey chicken momos. Each dish was absolutely delicious! I've never had momos as good as these outside of India and I'm glad we took a chance on this. Would gladly recommend this place if you're on the hunt for some excellent Nepalese or Indo-chinese food.

The food is awesome - delicious and flavoursome, especially the momos. They have a large menu, lots to choose from, and vegetarian / vegan options too. The owner and staff are lovely. 100% recommend.

I recently ordered from this restaurant via UberEats and savored their delicious momos with special cMomo preparation, along with choila and more. The flavors were reminiscent of authentic Indian street food, the ones we people abroad miss " the spicy street side momos" satisfying my spicy cravings perfectly. This was some of the best curry and momo I’ve ever had! We had the dal and it was just the best, so well cooked and flavoured. Such a great spot with great food - many options and good for vegans too. Very friendly staff. Can’t recommend enough

Came here for the first time tonight and loved it. The vegetarian jhol momo was delicious, as was the lamb naga - good portion size, amount of meat and flavour! Service was excellent, food was hot when we picked it up and they even gave us a Christmas card 🥰 writing this review before we even finished our food so you know it’s good!

We Tried Buff Momo, rice, Alloo tama and king prawns. Everything was soo delicious. I love spicy food, and the level of spice was soo good. The atmosphere and the service was amazing. I would highly recommend this place.

I came here during the fringe and got some buff momos. They were excellent and brought back so many nice memories and overall made me very very happy! I promised the very kind owner to call and give feedback on them but when it came to it I remembered I absolutely hat phone calls and I just couldn't do it. Sorry about that! If I ever return to edinbrugh this place will be top of my list.

Must go place if you are MO:MO lover.. All other dishes are good as well

First time I tried the buttered chicken, it was good but too sweet for me (I’m from India though). Second time the chef made it to order, but less sweet, more spicy. And he delivered! The Buffalo momo “C Momo” style was absolutely delicious. Good amount of spicy 👍🏽 wish I was staying in Edinburgh longer so I could try their other curries. They have a great curry meal deal. I always order the Veg Tandoori grilled Momo’s from here and they are absolutely delicious! They are always perfect every single time I order from there and will continue to do so. Very generous portions.

Finally found a place with buffalo momo! We had the buffalo momo curry and c, lamb tikka, and veg chowmein. Everything was delicious, highly recommend!

This is an amazing take away. There are also few tables you can use to eat in. I recommend momo and noodles, very good in all the flavours. The waiter was funny and the restaurant clean. The food quality was high but… spicy!!! By far the best Nepalese food I’ve ever eaten

Wir sind zufällig auf das MoMo gestoßen als wir mit unserem Kind (Teenager) etwas Leckeres zum Abendessen gesucht haben. So viel vorab: es war so lecker, dass wir direkt am nächsten Tag wieder da waren. Nepalesisch klingt spannend und ist es auch. Ihr kennt Dumplings? Dann probiert mal die nepalesische Variante: MoMos. Unser Kind hat sich in frittierte Chicken MoMos verliebt und er ist wirklich sonst ein Picky-eater wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Und der Chai hat ihm so toll geschmeckt, dass er seine Schüchternheit überwunden hat und zum ersten Mal jenseits von „Thank you“ Englisch in UK gesprochen hat, weil er einfach mehr davon wollte. Aber das Essen hat nicht nur das Kind glücklich gemacht, sondern auch die Eltern. :-) Alles was wir gegessen haben war einfach toll. Meine absoluten Favoriten waren das „Nauni Masala Tarkari“ (Sehr mildes Chicken Curry 0 🌶️), „Harabhara Tarkari“ (mildes Curry mit Kräutern 1🌶️) und die „Grilled Chicken MoMos“. Alles schmeckt super frisch und lecker. Auf der Karte stehen so viele tolle Gerichte, dass eigentlich für jeden etwas dabei ist. Auch für die Liebhaber scharfer Küche geht es hoch bis 4 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Chilis in der Bewertung. Es ist ein kleiner Take-away Laden, der für 2£ auch liefert, aber er hat auch drei Sitzplätze. Der Chef war sehr nett und wir haben uns toll unterhalten. Er ist die Gastlichkeit in Person und eben auch ein toller Koch. Solche Menschen zu treffen ist einfach das Schönste am Urlaub. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder ins MoMos.

We got lamb tikka, jhol chicken momo & garlic naan. It was a late night dinner so we needed a snack. The service was really great and the food was honestly delicious. We’d 100% come back!

I really wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. I dropped by just hoping to try some Momos for the first time, and who I assume was the owner was seriously the nicest guy. He gave me plenty of help and recommendations, and was even concerned with how cold I was after being outside for a while. I was truly amazed by the level of hospitality for the short amount of time I was waiting inside. The Momos were of course incredibly good, and I’m so glad that this place, of all places, was my introduction to Nepalese food. Please give this place your business, they truly deserve it.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars; the best Nepalese food I've ever had in my life. They even have fusions with Chinese and Indian cuisines, and I prefer this place over their original counterparts. The owner is incredibly gracious and welcoming, and his quaint shop is oozing with love and authenticity. You won't find a better place to eat ethnic food in Edinburgh. I cannot recommend this place enough, they deserve all the business they can get.

Momos are really good but the rest of the foods are not good at all. Very oily but the staffs behaviour is nice. If you like authentic momo this is the place to go however the other foods are not good at all.

Have ordered from here numerous times and always been good,ordered tonight and they had ran out of pilau rice never heard of that before from an Indian takeaway however went for plain rice it was all congealed we also ordered a side of spicy mushrooms they were swimming in grease and I ordered my favourite momo’s as usual they were delicious but the sauce they normally come with was half the amount and cold had to stick it in microwave,the other dishes we ordered were very nice no complaints there

The food tastes delicious! Although I was slightly confused when I ordered chow mein with egg noodles, and they gave me a spaghetti pasta chow mein.. had I known this I’d have ordered with rice noodles! Very bizarre!

Best chicken pakora in town, I was so in heaven with the first bite! Also tried the chicken momo (dumplings) and the veggie ones they're just delicious. Amazing portions quite worthy for the price and great quality food.

Tiny place and but super lovely, delicious food and friendly staff! They offered me coffee/tea for free as I waited for takeaway food. Worth noting their menu is more limited than the one online, they mostly specialise in momo (dumplings) at the moment. They deserve more love!

Perfect Momos, I literally had tried like more than 10 places in Glasgow and London but never found a place which have exactly same taste as my home country…. It’s one of the best place for momos I went for including the ones in india, Try it, u will not regret….

We came for trip from london and I am addicted to taste of nepalese kitchen now. I had momos after 2 years and its so so worth it. I also packed some food and had after coming back home. Anybody must try their chilli paneer, chilli Cauliflower and any kind of veg momo❤️❤️ i am vegetarian but my partner liked their non veg platter also.

Delicious! Excellent flavors. The veggie Momo's were actually spicy and wonderful as was the tikki masala curry. My kids loved everything we well.

Best takeaway curry in Edinburgh Edit: waited 3 hours for a curry and was offered no compensation, really unimpressed. Had guests and ruined our evening.

My partner and I ordered via deliveroo.. The food never came we waited over an hour, no apology no nothing. The guy said “wait 5 more mins” they literally closed 5 mins later. I am so upset it is now 23:09 and I have no food prepared to eat.

My brother and I wanted to try something different and noticed this Nepalese and wanted to give it a try. Thanks to the wonderful staff we were helped to set up a menu. Whilst all was really good (didn't enjoy the naan as much tho) the Momos need an extra mentioning. They have been awesome! Thx for the dinner. Coming again!

Delicious food, absolutely like cooked at home for family! We tried the Momo, typical nepalese dish and loved them! Price was very decent, and i really appreciated the friendliness: i could change my order last minute without any problem.

Awesome!! We had the butter lamb with garlic naan, and i loved it! It was just like i had it in 2018 when I actually visited Nepal. The guy that helped us was also really friendly and had an awesome vibe!

My boyfriend and I have wanted to try here for a while now. It did not disappoint! We ordered a lot of things and I don't think there was a single thing I wouldn't buy again. The momos though, they really stood out as excellent. If you're new to Nepalese food like we were then the staff are also wonderful and help you with terminology and explain what the dishes are like. Really nice place, really excellent food.

Delighted to have come across this restaurant. I ordered momo and lamb choyella. Both dishes were delicious and authentic in taste and looks. I very much enjoyed chatting with the friendly proprietor. They gave me a complimentary rice pudding too. Next time I am in Edinburgh I shall return.

The order did not arrive after more than two hours since I placed the order. In the app the delivery time was pushed further and further. When I order the delivery time was MAX 45 minutes. I understand that you might be busy, but at least you need to be transparent, or do not take further orders if you can't physically prepare them in a reasonable time. I would have never placed an order in the first place if I knew it would have taken more than 2 hours to get it.

Tried Momo Nepalese Kitchen tonight and it was delicious! Great value too. The food was quite spicy but very satisfying. I ordered the vegan momo starter cooked in curry sauce and that alone was filling. I also ordered the chilli cauliflower starter, which was a good portion. They were even nice enough to give me a complimentary rice pudding! The staff were very kind and professional.

We had a family takeaway from here on 6th August and it was excellent - such fresh, tasty & delicious food, and lots of different options from our usual place. The portions were good. The fried vegetable momo in curry sauce is one of the tastiest dishes I’ve eaten in ages! I can’t wait to order again. Rare for our family to have a takeaway from the same place as we have quite different tastes but this hit the spot with all of us.

This is one of the best takeaways in Edinburgh - the food is so fresh and flavourful. The meals are great value for money and there is an excellent range for vegetarians. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent.
