The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Delicious food, lovely people, great prices. Well worth a visit. The masala dosa was lovely. Good idli and vada. Authentic, in my experience.

This is now our only Indian we order from in the area. We searched for 8 years to find the best Indian near home, we've not ordered anywhere else for the last year. Moza spice always delivers fast, the food is always steaming hot and fresh. We've tried many dishes from here now and every single one was delicious. They genuinely can't be beaten! AVOID!!!! It took 3 hours to arrive and half of the order was missing. Spent £32 on bad quality food. Iceland food is better

The Star of India is a fantastic discovery hidden away in the middle of Halstead. The food we ordered was delicious. Huge portions too ! And even better, 50% off our total because we collected our order. What a bargain ! This place is a little treasure. Highly recommend.

My partner and I ordered a delivery takeaway from here 17th December 2023 (for my birthday) ordered through their website and an hour and a half later still no food so we phoned them and a guy answered and told us they were permanently closed. We didn't get a refund either so would highly recommend avoiding this place

Delivered on time and hot. Really good value. I ordered the Naga Bengal with lamb, which I'd never had before but will be again. The smell of spices hits you as soon as you open the lid, and it's hot without being overpowering. Plenty of meat, which was tender and cooked well, even though I prefer it cut into larger pieces. There are finely chopped onions, peppers, and thick cut garlic visible in the sauce. It all felt very fresh and was finished with a generous coriander garnish. The pillau rice was cooked perfectly and really fragrant. I also tied a bit of the tikka masala which was creamy and thick with a coconut flavour. Garlic naans were large, my only issue would be that that they were a little dry. I like naan bread thick and soft, but they tasted good and there was lots of sauce to mop up. Overall extremely impressed with the quality, price, and friendly speedy service.

We had a delivery from cinnamon tonight. Can honestly say it’s the best Indian we’ve had in a long time. Chicken was so tender. All dishes were so delicious!

I've ordered from here a number of times over the past 4 years and always receive excellent service. Delicious food and great customer experience. I've eaten in and had take aways, both of equal quality. Recently I had a small item missed from my order. The restaurant called back to my home and replaced my items, without issue. Highly recommended.

Delicious meal and the also the most delicious paratha in the bread basket! Will return for sure. Babur deserves all the Michelin stars they can get.

Ordered a delivery; Used to buy from you regularly when you were with just eat. Searched for you on your website...waste of time. 40% increase in price...60% reduction in quality ! Smaller portions, original recipe destroyed, poor quality food...why send an OLD naan. paid for a fresh naan !

Ordered on a Saturday so could see was in for a wait. Ordered for 6:15pm got an email to say would be 15min late. Arrived 5:30pm way earlier than wanted the food to arrive as ordered for family who were due to arrive after 6. Food is good as always but why have option to order for a time then not follow it

Went on Saturday night good service. The restaurant is lovely kept really clean. The food choice is good, had Karahi done really well. Definitely will be back ! Would be good if they sold the rose blush by the glass.
