They are such lovely, genuine people. We had some lunch from their stall at a food festival in Devon. Our curries were hot and tasty.

Tried a mixed dhal and chicken curry at Wembury Farmers Market today . The dhal was a little hot for me , the chicken curry was delicious. Really fresh and felt like good quality ingredients - fresh coriander added if wanted . I paid £12 for 2 types of curry and rice in a takeaway pot. I think for one type to eat there it was £9 which easily compares to other pop up vendors. I really hope they're at next month's Farmers Market as I'll be in the qué for chicken curry and rice 😄

Deli Junction had a pop up kitchen at this event. No prices displayed - a mixed chicken & Dahl curry with a couple of handfuls of plain boiled rice in a medium sized takeaway tray cost FIFTEEN POUNDS!!! An absolutely atrocious rip off, not even a very special curry. I was too go smacked to challenge this price, and it turns out, I was not the only one. So be warned I feel you see them...

Desi Junction used to pop up at events but had a full day a few years ago at GCHQ coffee cafe in Ebrington St. GCHQclosed during the lockdown and the premises are now used by a courier distribution collection etc franchise. No one we know, can say what has or may be happening to Desi Junction.

Wonderful vegetarian curry from the Desi Junction pop up when they were on Royal Parade in Plymouth for the bikers convention. Beautifully spiced curry, with lovely tomato salad. Reasonably priced too.

Came upon the soft launch press day today at the already excellent GCHQ coffee shop in Ebrington Street. Chaz Singh and his wife have grasped the nettle with their latest venture which despite the generous hospitality of GCHQ is intended to be a street or food wagon enterprise operating on street eg maybe Armada Way etc or the uni campus or at community or private events. We have been contentedly enjoying eating Gujarati vegetarian food at a well known Plymouth restaurant for decades but Desi Junction is a step away from that with simple but more punchy flavours designed for quick often one course meals or snacks perhaps on the move. Our experience of the potato and pea curry today was surprising and very satisfying. The full on public launch of this latest speciality pop up ‘eatery’ is on the 26 January again in Ebrington Street. Good luck to them. It would be good to think that they may thrive to the point of having their own premises in Ebrington Street in due course.

Disappointing Anniversary Meal – Would Not Recommend We decided to order from this establishment for our anniversary celebration last night at 8:00 PM, hoping for a memorable meal. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but enjoyable. We ordered the Korma King Prawn, Buhna King Prawn, Peshwari Naan, Chilli Naan, and Sag Aloo. Given the positive feedback from friends and my partner’s previous visit over a year ago, we had high expectations. However, the food fell far short. The King Prawns were unappetizing—mangled, reconstituted, and completely flavorless. The Korma sauce was watery and lacked any depth of flavor, while the Buhna King Prawns tasted oily and artificial. The Peshwari Naan was dry and powdery with no discernible sweetness or flavor. The accompanying dips were equally disappointing. The mango chutney tasted like warm, puréed syrup, while the white and red onion pickles were just plain chopped onions, completely unseasoned and lacking freshness. The yogurt dip was watery, bland, and unappealing. To make matters worse, both my partner and I experienced severe gastrointestinal distress after eating what little we could stomach from the meal. I attempted to contact the restaurant by phone to raise these concerns, but no one answered. Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this establishment to others.

Even though the food was lovely when it arrived it took nearly an hour to come . We had not ordered any starters. Just eat / delivery orders seem to be prioritised . We had to move tables as it was extremely cold sat near the door as it opened. Unfortunately our male waiter had a bad personal hygiene problem which was really not pleasant in an eating establishment.

Took My 12 year old daughter out to her 1st genuine Indian restaurant. The service was excellent, My daughter ordered a chicken Mogli, being new experience she didn't know what the dish was, the staff member took the time to explain. Onion bahjis were beautifully cooked. Peshwari naan was cooked to perfection, and the chicken biriani was something else. Served with a vegetable soup cooked with spices. That was taken home for a meal the following day. My daughter and I were suitably impressed. Me and my team from work will be back on the 31st January for a team night out. Thanks for a lovely meal in relaxed atmosphere.
