Had an amazing curry from here. All really tasty. It was a day late because they don't open on Monday's as it says on Google. I have advised them to update that, but apart from that everything was great.

The curry looked disgusting it was orange and hadn’t even been stirred properly

Food arrived on time and hot. Had a lamb dish included that I didn't order (not sure if that was a mistake) It was a banging dish and the lamb was so tender. As always you never fail to impress. 5 star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Best Indian restaurant in Plymouth by a long way

not a good curry, appeared to have a layer of condensed milk over the top and was overwhelming sweet - like eating dessert

The food tasted fantastic, the staff were really nice and I can’t wait to come back again soon.

Yummy. The tarka dhal was so good, not watery and in need of salt, garlic and all the other flavours, like a lot of places, the chicken tikka was also so good, really tasty and moist. Only complaint is no paneer pieces in the sag paneer (was there mozzarella in there?), otherwise it was good and the level of spice in the veg samosas and the ‘bite’ to the veg was ace. Defo recommend. Ps thanks for all the raita 🥰

I can't fault the food. Lots of choice and good size portions. None of the food way greasy and there so lots of flavor. There sag paneer was unlike what I'm use to but absolutely delicious and if we hadn't had plans for after I'd have absolutely order more. The only negative, is it it was busy, I think it would feel cramped. But we were eating early, so it wasn't a problem. I think it's going to be our new pre-threatre food spot.

Lovely welcoming staff on pick up. The veggie dishes were still little too 'al dente' but we did order late on a quiet night and nothing 5mins in the over wont fix. The Tikka Tava is a new favourite delicious!

What a find! Tucked away in a back street where no one would see it, is the most amazing Indian restaurant. So pretty inside and the food is fantastic. Can't recommend it enough.

We met at this restaurant for a fantastic meal ahead of seeing "Anything Goes" at the nearby Devonport Playhouse and were immediately struck by the ample free parking in the area (unlike Plymouth City Centre!) and lovely ambiance of the restaurant. The food was AMAZING... we ordered two vegetarian dishes, one nan bread (which was *huge*), and one helping of rice, all to share, and it was absolutely perfect.

Went here last night with a friend good choice of food on the menu for meat eater or none meat eater. We went for the vegetarian/vegan dishes, absolutely delicious both our meal was, best Indian l have had for a long time, staff was very welcoming & friendly. Would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. If your driving there is is a carpark about 3 min away opposite icelend . The restaurant is only taking cash but there is cash machine in the wall next to iceland & a cash machine in a another food shop a few door down.

No poppadoms. They are free with every curry I ever ordered. Not impressed. But worse, we paid £3.95 for two of the tiniest samosas I've ever seen. The curries were bog standard batch and a bit mean with the meat. Even with 20% off I think it was overpriced. The delivery guy was polite. I'll not order from here again.

Food arrived on time and was of a good standard and tasty. Had Lamb and I’m happy to say there was a reasonable amount and wasn’t tough like a lot of places. Happy to order from them again

We have been ordering from school of spice takeaway for many years but decided this weekend to try out his restaurant…worth the trip! The food is always delicious from the takeaway and eating it straight from the kitchen was a complete revelation! The pickles for the poppadums were beautifully spiced and the cauliflower pakoras were soft but not over cooked with a crispy batter. The hot and spicy curry with naga chillies had my husband sweating but raving about the spice level and my chicken Ada had a beautiful medium spiced sauce. If you order takeaway from here then take a chance and visit the restaurant…it’s worth it!

1st time we have ordered from here, set meal for 2 food was lovely and hot, full of flavour, probably the best we have had in a long time, plenty of food that feed 3 of us ,was a little late but driver apologised straight away and said how busy they where, will definitely order again

Order was missing a naan that was paid for but the food was lovely as always.

We’ve had many Indian takeaways but still thinks this is the best. We had a few round the corner but we rather use school of spice a bit further down because they’re always good. They also didn’t mind our special requests. Good portion size, and free papadams. Good work school of spice, keep it up.

The main meal was very tasty, but the starter was terrible. Garlic prawns and mushrooms. Watery, no garlic taste, and tasted like dishwater, so couldnt eat it after 2 mouthfuls. The spinach and garlic king prawn main was stunning though. It wouldnt stop me ordering from them again, i would just avoid that starter next time.

Disappointing. Lacked flavors. Tikka Masala was sweet like a desert. Paratha was more like those frozen ones you can do at home but worse.

This was our first order from School of Spice but it won’t be our last. The food arrived promptly and was delivered by a very polite and friendly driver. The food was hot and tasty, the lamb was lovely and not chewy or fatty like some places. Even our 6 yr old enjoyed the chicken kurma and pilau rice. Very happy and will order again in the future

Curry’s were really nice and tasty how ever the Bhajis and naan were cold which was disappointing. Would like to commend the delivery driver he couldn’t apologise enough for the late delivery of our food.

Probably the best tasting Indian food around. We've ordered from here several times, but the food is constantly late. This evening it should have been here almost 45 minutes ago, and we're still waiting. No point in calling because they only ever say "it's with the driver". I'm pretty sure they're swimming across the Tamar tonight. It's a shame because the food is always so tasty.

I've been ordering takeaway food for delivery from School of Spice for a good number of years now and felt it was time that I posted a review. The extremely high standard and quality of the food, together with the excellent flavours, freshness and speedy expedition and delivery make School of Spice my very favourite Asian takeaway, I believe that it is a family business and the family are all very friendly and helpful, I've never had cause for complaint and never been disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant and their takeaway and delivery service.

Genuinely the tastiest Indian meal I have ever had! I’ve not been anywhere in years that allows you to bring your own wine to accompany your meal. Definitely recommend eating in and enjoying a date night/works do with your lidl plonk!

Had a meal delivered this evening and as usual it was delicious. Very good portion sizes. Mains could easily serve 2 people. We even tried new dishes tonight and especially enjoyed the lemon nan. Will definitely order again in the future.

Both chicken Madras and chicken passander was very dry. Passander sauce was to thick. Prawn cocktail had very little sauce, both chilli And Peshwari Nan bread was very dry ,

Food quality and quantity excellent asalways

Food was delivered within the time limit, but upon arrival it had all leaked all over the bag, so trying to plate up was a joke. Everything was covered in the curry. Phoned restraunt to explain to be told that never happens your lying. Needless to say I won't be ordering again the way I was spoken to was disgusting.

I always order from the school of spice as it is always great tasting food. Tonight I ordered the set meal for one and it was amazing, great curry house, probably one of the best in Plymouth!!

My friend booked the restaurant for Sunday Lunchtime. The restaurant opened especially for us as they are not normally open until 5pm. The 4 of us were made very welcome with no restrictions on what we could order. The service and the quality of the food was fantastic. A great visit many thanks.
