Frequent diner at Indian restaurants across Christchurch, Great parking area, reasonable sized dining capacity, very clean and looked flavourous. However, hindrance showed up after our sitting. The assistance declined since. Normally minutes after sitting, water was on the table (was a very hot evening) Only one another sitting with 2 people were dining when we sat down. There were two staff available for serving and another 2 were in the kitchen. We waited for a bit and when staff was unseen in the restaurant, one of us called over and requested for water. Water was served and the staff disappeared again. Later another person from the table walked to the bar, called out for service and ordered some drinks. Incorrect request was delivered. Kitchen close time was 9.45pm and we were not served than. However were served a few minutes later. The servings were smaller for the price than other Christchurch Indian restaurants. Lots of gravy or paste and little meat. The pieces of naan served didn't match our order, and only one serving dish of rice was on the table for six diners. The closing time being, 9.30pm we were still dining. Cups of tea were excessively sweet as sugar was added in the kitchen, instead of having a bowl of sugar on the table, so could be added by individuals to their taste. Staff face masks were removed before settling our accounts.

My twin brother Stephen and I were walking down High Street when we decided to drop into The Sandwell Pub and what a lovely pub this is . Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a big single roomed pub ,the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar, tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, a really good pub to chill out in. We were greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands and ordered a dark fruit cider each, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My cider was totally refreshing, a crisp, effervescent and iced cold cider that certainly cut through the thirst, on a hot afternoon it was just what we needed. We really enjoyed our ciders in here and although we only stayed for the one each before moving on for a first time visit to here we were totally impressed with this pub. The Sandwell Pub is easy to locate along High Street, its facing the beautiful Catholic Church Of Saint Michael And The Holy Angels . Opening hours are ( covid 19 ) ,11am till 10pm. A great pub ,if your in the area most definitely well worth a visit

I have visited Chaiiology a couple of times now. The tea is excellent. I have tried the tandoori, karak and pink chai and they are all perfect. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and I look forward to trying some more food and drinks from the menu next time I visit.

Reservado con antelación. Cena familiar 7 personas. El personal era acogedor, ambiente increíble y vegetarianos y veganos en nuestra fiesta les encantó todo sobre este lugar increíble. Buena relación calidad-precio y yo, honestamente, como el único no vegetariano en la familia me gustaría volver.

Takeaway order:- The tandoori special starter was nice, the meat was tender and juicy. Poppadoms were good but only one sauce was provided. The king prawn bhuna was ordered as "hot" spice level. Very disappointed to say the least. Very watery with almost no flavour, spice was non existent. The king prawns were very tender but sadly not enough to save a truly terrible curry. The keema and cheese naan was nice as well as the pilau rice. 1h30m wait for takeaway which I understand as ordered over bank holiday weekend. A decent meal except for the truly awful curry which should have been the star of the show, sadly feeling very dissappinted. 3*

! The Paprika Club is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The interior is stylish yet cozy, setting the perfect tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The menu is a true celebration of flavors, offering a perfect balance of traditional dishes and exciting new twists. Every plate we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic taste — you can tell they use the freshest ingredients and genuine spices. Service was impeccable — attentive without being intrusive, with staff who were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. They even made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences, which made our experience even more personalized. Overall, the Paprika Club exceeded every expectation. Whether you’re a lover of classic Indian cuisine or looking to discover something new, this place is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back

Just don’t bother. Awful curry! Lovely service don’t get me wrong, but omg the curry is below mid, small portions and you can get so much better 5 minutes away. Don’t go just cause it’s got a water bubble thing on the wall, the place is style over substance.

If I had a choice to give no review I literally would give this a 0. The food had no taste. Spent £50 on kabuli pilau large which only 3 pieces of small meat pieces and big nan with chairs tikke which tasted so bad. Could only taste the fat. I am a person who eats meat with bit of fat but this was really bad…nearly threw up. Even told the staff that food was not nice at all and they didn’t even say anything so paid £50.
