We have recently ordered 3 takeaways from here as new customers - wow, this is the only Indian restaurant we will use now. Friendly service especially from Kay (Not sure about spelling) and his Dad (sorry didn’t get your name!) We ordered; Prawn madras, king prawn roshun and king prawn sath lemon, which were all the best curries we’ve ever eaten - I highly recommend the lemon curry it’s so unusual and delicious.

Sadly, this place that my wife and I have been going for many years has now closed permanently. We are so sorry to see it go - we have had many excellent meals there and enjoyed talking to the friendly staff, Amin in particular. Good luck to all who worked there in whatever comes next

We booked a table for our Christmas meal. We were a large group (25) and inspite of there being even more of us (30 plus a baby and a pram) on the night the staff were very accommodating. The staff were very friendly, helpful and chatty all night even though they were literally rushed off their feet! Great customer service plus gorgeous tasty food - can’t ask for more than that! It’s definitely one of our favourite Indian restaurants. Thanks so much for a great night!

Saffron Lounge was OK but nothing special. There were a few unusual dishes on the menu and it was good to try something new. Vegetarian choices available. Food all tasted ok and spiced as expected and explained. Service was very slow despite only 3 tables having diners. It seems the need to take and cook telephone orders took precedence over table service. Friendly enough service. Comfortable seating. Clean toilets. Prices reasonable.

Had a tough prawn pasandra tonight - the sauce was watery ,limp and flavourless . Bit of a shock having a few whole grapes in it - would have preferred some curry flavouring . Prawns were awful and very chewy . My Garlic rice was nice . Hubby had garlic chicken which was tasteless . Again very limp and watery sauce. He didn’t like his Kebab starters and popadoms were smashed and in tiny pieces . Bombay aloo starter was also not tasty . Waste of £35 and out be returning or recommending to locals . We did wonder why our local Chinese take away was so busy .
