We first found this little gem in November 2023, during a yearly all male trip to the Forest of Dean. We enjoyed it so much we revisited in our way home! We visited again last night, the standard and quality of the most authentic Indian cuisine is always of the highest standard and the service is simply incredible. This family run restaurant go above and beyond to ensure that all Diner's have the best experience! We now look forward to our yearly trip even more as this is now a tradition for us to include as a visit during our trip! Long may they continue!

I’m sorry to say yet again, another curry in the Forest of Dean pandering to the English palette. We had a takeaway with friends and I was disappointed and so was my wife. We both have lived in London and Manchester and we have a good idea of what a good Indian meal should be, The chicken Shaslick that my wife had was overcooked and served in a very watery bhuna sauce and I had a mix tandoori grill, but I asked for a Madras sauce separate unfortunately it was all heat with no other flavouring. How long for the day when I can order an Indian meal that isn’t made for the English palette.

Lovely curry piping hot when we got it home, so do tasty, I do spicy missus does mild was very impressed with mine, spicy but not too spicy to impair flavour, wife's was mild and even I must admit it was out of this world, smooth creamy not to overpowering with coconut a well balanced dish and the bombay aloo best ever cheers for my lovely birthday dinner, we will be back, maybe sit down next time x.

Stopping in Newent for weekend. Ordered take out curry. What'a menu. Fabulous selection. Walked in - lovely spicy aromas. People eating in looked happy. Only disappointment was food should have been ready for collection at 8.50 and didn't come out of kitchen until 9.15 and I was ravenous. Anyhow the food was well prepared, very tasty and worth the wait.... Recommend if you're in the town......

This place was an amazing place for a quiet relaxing Indian, where nothing was too much trouble. The food was perfect usually I can eat a whole meal but the portions here were large and delicious and they let us all have takeaway tubs. We were a bit of a pain but the server didn't complain or moan he was very polite and understanding. I would definitely recommend cinnamons to anyone.

It is sad to write this review as I have always enjoyed Bengal Balti and it has consistently been good but the last one I had was not brilliant at all. I have tried to reach out to the staff at the Bengal to discuss the issues but heard nothing so unfortunately here we are. I placed a telephone order as usual but told this time it would be an hour which I can appreciate that if it is busy on a Saturday night is standard, it has never been an hour before. When I arrived to pick it up the restaurant was empty which is not normal, every time I have been there it is crammed which was strange. Usually Ranu is there to greet customers and so when he was not I asked the chap behind the bar where he was. He explained he was in the kitchen cooking because they had no chefs. Unfortunately my regular lamb zalzala was cold, not even lukewarm and considering it contains naga chillies wasn't even medium, under seasoned and hardly any lamb. The korma was also cold, under seasoned and sickly sweet, it just tasted like chicken in condensed milk. Rice also cold but the naans were nice. Thoroughly disappointing that most of it got left and given that we are fairly regular and loyal customers it is a massive shame. Sad I have also tried to rectify it with them direct but to no avail.
