The best restaurants serving Indian food in Chichester South East

We had been driving passed this Indian restaurant for ages !! Saying each time we passed, ‘ we must try that place ‘ well, we went for the 2nd time this evening and all I can say is, I wish we hadn’t driven past all those times !! Firstly, you are greeted with a smile that says, ‘ Welcome ‘ the thereafter service is superb and ‘ meaningful ‘ now to the food. Well, on a scale of 1-10 it’s a clear 9+ ( theres always room for improvement ) This is not your everyday vindaloo and rice establishment, Thyme & Chillies is THE only place in the locale to savour the delights of top quality Indian fare. Try it, if you enjoy top quality Indian food. You’d be crazy not too. Top fare.

Circumstances changed the hotel destination of our visit to Sussex to just outside Petworth. Sadly, our first night in the hotel was spoilt by the poor standard of the food served, which prompted us to start scrolling Tripadvisor for another alternative restaurant. They say every cloud has a silver lining and for us this turned out to be Meghdoots! We were warmly welcomed and presented with a small appetiser, whilst we studied the menu. With seasonal special game options available, something I have never experienced before in the UK, along with three choices of Dahl, indicated that Meghdoots offered something more exciting than normally associated with the average Indian restaurant. The standard was extremely high and was the nearest to authentic home cooking we have experienced in a long time. We enjoyed the food so much that we ate there for the remaining nights of our stay. A big thanks you to everyone involve at Meghdoots for creating the wonderful dishes and also to all those Tripadvisor reviewers!

I would rate the food 6/5 if I could. A mix of classics and regional dishes - we finished every bite. We will return when next nearby, encourage you to visit too!

Good menu choice. Large helpings. Service is friendly but slower when they are busy. A favourite.

best Indian Food i have ever tasted!

Lovely food and great service - our server mo was also brilliant overall a fantastic experience…… can’t forget to mention the yummy chocolates that come with the bill!!

Curry no estaba caliente. jefe siempre gritando constantemente un camarero quejándose de que no reciben ninguna propina como jefe toma el. la cebolla baji estaba empapada. la comida era aceitosa y sosa. no hay sabor en absoluto

Delicious food, good Chinese food

We stayed nearby and only booked when we got here. We were really looked after, the service was excellent and the food amazing, so much choice and all really tasty. We left feeling stuffed but happy. Shame we live 2 hours away but to be honest it is worth the trip

As always, the best healthy curry with amazing side dishes and excellent service. Poppadoms for starters is a MUST We love this place!

Always ordered our Indian from here. Obviously rugby is on and it’s a Saturday. We pre ordered at 6.15pm for delivery at 7.30pm. It came at 8.15pm. Food is always tasty however the starter was a bit undercooked and all was a bit cold. But like I said, always tasty!

Great food at great prices. All of the takeaway dishes we have from here are really good. Nice staff too. We always collect but they deliver too.
