The best restaurants serving Indian food in Tameside North West

We always appreciate the quality of the food from this restaurant and it seems extra tasty, I am writing this and want to order again as my mouth is watering!

I traveled quite a distance to visit this establishment. Unfortunately, parking was challenging, and upon arrival, the entrance was littered with cigarette ends. Inside, the floor where we sat had crumbs of food. The tables are too close together, making the dining experience uncomfortable. At one point, a gentleman at the adjacent table couldn’t stop blowing his nose, which was unpleasant. The waitstaff should be more proactive in addressing such behavior by encouraging customers to use the restroom instead of engaging in this practice while others are dining. Moving on to the overall cleanliness, it appears that the staff have become accustomed to subpar standards, and it shows. There is clear evidence of inattentiveness in presentation and overall restaurant upkeep. Service The service was friendly and approachable. However, the staff did not excel in upselling or highlighting available deals and promotions, which could have significantly enhanced the overall experience. Food I ordered chips, rice, chicken bhuna, and a mixed grill sharer platter. Starter: The starter was significantly overpriced at nearly £12 for two people. A more reasonable price would be between £7 to £8. The platter included two chicken pakoras, two lamb shish kebabs, grilled chicken, and an onion bhaji. While the quality was decent, the pricing did not reflect the value offered. Main Course: The chicken bhuna was served in a silver dish and had a pleasant aroma. However, it was quite oily, and the spices overwhelmed the dish, leaving the chicken scarce. The portion of chicken was disappointing, and it quickly cooled, diminishing its flavor. Rice: The rice was fluffy and flavorful, which was a positive aspect. Chips: Unfortunately, the chips were a disappointment—hard to eat and clearly pre-made from a low-cost supplier. They lacked freshness, and the addition of over-oiled bhuna only worsened the experience. Areas for Improvement: 1. Parking: The parking situation needs addressing. It is difficult to find convenient spots in the car park. 2. Entrance: The entrance should be cleaned more regularly—no cigarette ends should be present near the entryway. 3. Hygiene: Staff should be more attentive to diners engaging in unhygienic behavior, such as blowing their noses in public areas while others are eating nearby. 4. Floor Cleaning: The carpet should be cleaned more thoroughly. A cordless vacuum would be ideal for quickly removing crumbs from the floor. 5. Food Quality: An improved selection of food suppliers would significantly enhance the dining experience. As it stands, for the same price, you can find better value and quality at restaurants in the Stalybridge area. In conclusion, the restaurant charges high prices for subpar service. There are better dining experiences in the area, with superior food quality and hygiene standards. With a few improvements, this could truly become a top-tier destination.

Ordered a takeaway with delivery time of 1hr + After 1hr 20 mins receive a call from the driver lost but local to us ( max 2 mins away ) Gave clear directions and reaffirmed the postcode Still no food 10 minutes later Rang to check to be told new driver & food in 20/25 minutes 30 minutes later … food arrived We checked with delivery driver that food was hot … assured yes He took the cash We opened up the delivery of stone cold food Microwaved the chips but dry and disgusting after almost 2 hours out and about so rang & got food collected and money returned Not a great experience Diabolical service and cold food Will not be ordering again

La comida y el servicio eran perfectos. Un menú imaginativo que no he encontrado antes y mi plato elegido no podría haber sido mejor. Personal amable y cortés, en un ambiente muy relajante. 100% recomendable!

food excellent best curry for ages

Came on 31st January. Was there with a party of over 20 and majority of us fell poorly with D&V. Unsure if the food was prepared fresh or heated up as it was a set menu but wouldn’t recommend

The order was wrong in so many ways as I ordered a meat fest pizza with black olives sausage and meatballs with a cheese stuffed crust and I ordered a cheese burger with salad quarter pound that was a single bag with cheese and the pizza wasn’t what I ordered as no stuffed crust no sausage no meatballs or black olives so quite a disappointment and the garlic bread with cheese was missing from the order and then arrived cold later on so yes it was quite a disaster this week.

Service was good, all food was fresh and cooked in front of us and was delicious

Tasty food and a beautiful atmosphere. Adul and Ricky were excellent with our children and very hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble. Will return again!

Ordered Chicken Tikka & Donner or Nan. Really good and the portion is really big too. Highly recommend.

Cracking Indian, good food and decent portions!

First visit for many years and we had a positive experience. Managed to park for free. Service was good and staff polite. Good range on menu. Food was lovely. Lamb saag wala was lovely. Chutney tray a bit stingy but could have asked for more pickles. I would return. There was a slight issue with the odd fruit fly buzzing about, not sure why but we coped.

Tiny portions for an above average price, chicken tikka tastes awful and isn’t marinated, rice was clumped together, they also only filled the container up half way.
