Ordered the special mixed kebab at £7.50 with salad and chilli sauce, they added 10mins to the delivery time. The kebab was small, the size of as £5 kebab to my surprise. As the last time I ordered it, it was an absolute beast I struggled to eat half of it! This time around I ate the whole kebab with ease, parts of the kebab were cold with not much sauce on the kebab this led to the meat and the naan bread being quite dry. I will order again to see if the first one I ordered was standard or if this let down of a kebab is how it usually comes.

Terrible! Had to ring after an hour to see where food was. When arrived curry had chicken in & I'm vegetarian. Rang up & couldn't be understood & eventually told it would take an extra half hour for another curry.....will write another review if still unacceptable.

Normally good but can be late in arriving. Tonight it was an hour late. Delivery driver apologised sincerely. Restaurant less so when we called to chase. Onion bhaji thrown in. Would rather have had the right meat in my pasanda. Chicken not lamb.

Chicken Chaat was very nice but the mixed kebab was just too greasy.

Following my last review in February, my wife & I ordered from them in April; just 'giving it a go'. It was...okay. We then gave it another go in mid-to-end of May and as my title suggests, it was back to its very best that we enjoyed so much when we first started to use them a few years back. Both onion & lime pickle chutneys were fresh & lovely; poppadoms were very crisp & fresh also and both my wife's chicken Balti and my vegetable Pathia were so very, very nice; each had their distinct flavours. With the Pathia being described as a medium / hot, for the first time I can recall they even took the time to ask me how spicy I would like it. Notably, it took longer to arrive than usual but do you know what...that's not a criticism and, in fact, if it means getting such a really nice curry then I say take your time fellas! Really good food again and long may it continue!

We ordered at 7.15 food arrived at 9.15 and was very average. Takeaway told us they tried to deliver and that my phone number was wrong even though we were sitting by the window that overlooks the road the whole time and my number seemed to work just fine when we rung them 3 times to find out where the food was. The food would have to amazing for the service to be this bad.

Food wasn't delivered on time had to ring restaurant to see where it was. Nan breads were cold and donner meat was dry and really thick chunky strips. No flavour so most of it went in the bin

Very tasty. Free sauce and bhajis too which is always welcome. We are always happy with our meals from here as they are always delish. It's good to be able to pick something new and not be worried.

Have been ordering from the Spice Jar for a couple of years now - really settled on this one as our main place to order from as not only was the food really tasty but they were always polite; the food always arrived in the time they said it would, the price was always exact to their menu and, unlike other places we've ordered from in the past, it wasn't at all greasy. They're still quite friendly; the prices are still exact, it arrives when they say it will and it's still not greasy. However, the quality of the food has nosedived over the last few months to the point where last night was the last time I would be ordering. Every curry virtually taste the same now! Seriously, they may look different colour-wise but there's no signature tastes to the individual curries. In recent months I've ordered Rogan Josh, Jalfrezi, Karahi and a Madras and they ALL tasted pretty much the same. And as for the so called stronger ones? Nothing - no 'kick' whatsoever. Even their garlic naans aren't garlicy anymore! They must have lost their regular chefs / cooks because this once fine takeaway, which we used to promote to other people in our area, has been sliding...and has now slipped off our radar. Real shame.

The service was terrible, the kebabs are disgusting. I had a issue with a kebab as I was not aware they automatically put onions on even though reuqtesting no salad they still put them on there. I did ring them up to address the issue which they was no help and would not fix the issue.

Have been a faithful customer to this takeaway. Sadly on this occasion, no call to signal when the food arrived and the delivery took well over 1 hour. Will find an alternative takeaway so no repeat business. :(
