The best restaurants serving Indian food in Southwark London

Firstly, the food was incredible so the 3 stars is a reflection of food versus service. I had a couple of the vegetarian sides and my partner had a lamb rogan josh. Absolutely delicious. From arriving to leaving though we felt rushed. We arrived early evening and it was very quiet but we had £13 cocktails that the staff tried to take before we’d finished. Staff, including the manager, constantly hovered by the table clearly with the next sitting in mind. Twice they tried to take the plates away when we had not finished. We were close to saying can you please leave us alone. At £100 for two people, you expect a higher calibre of table service. Please treat us more like valued customers not cattle.

Came here as part of a large group for dinner and the staff were very helpful accommodating us. We ordered a range of curries and it would be fair to say the food ranged between ok and good. Not outstanding or consistent which I would expect for what was a reasonably expensive Indian. The special curries were better than the more basic ones on the menu. One of us complained that here tasted of Heinz tomato soup! Overall it was ok if you are in the area and fancy a curry but not a place worth travelling too. Came to about £45 per person for mains starters and a few beers.

Es una lástima que este restaurante se haya visto obligado a cerrar. Uno de los pocos restaurantes indios que en realidad tenía Methi Ghust en su menú, y también era una delicia. Amplias porciones de carne, excelentes arroces y un paratha relleno completaron la fiesta.Gracias al personal también: educado, servicial y nunca condescendiente como lo son algunos restaurantes menores.Esperemos que el propietario pueda encontrar un local de reemplazo cercano, pero me temo que el área de Elephant and Castle pronto estará más allá de la redención. Nos encanta Nam Thai pero no dispondrán a nosotros porque somos 2. A 8 millas de distancia. Queríamos Tailandés y este parecía ser el fit más cercano.

Food not delivered I want a refund

I have come back to try their food after 4 years and i think it could be one of the best curries iv tried.

You can never go wrong with dunton grill. Usually when you order chips online they always come soggy and not crunchy but came crunchy which made me happy

Given I have never eaten here, I have absolutely zero idea why I was asked to review 2 Sisters Tandoori but given I succumbed to the google map clickbait, here I am. Bet they do a corking tandoori prawn dish and something really good with Paneer. Order that side dish everyone talks about. Maybe they need to have lemon sorbet on the menu and sing a song after the rice cooker goes ‘ping’. Always room for improvement right? Amazing service. Sometimes they give you a lift home and a free yo-yo. Would recommend highly.

Food was good. I felt that the portion size is a bit small. Considering the location i guess it's expensive. Service was excellent.

Not used for a while as I tried some others but my favourite and still one of the best out there - plenty of flavour especially the Prawn Puri and the Garlic Mushroom - gave a complimentary free side dish too which was a bonus. Will be back - Thanks

Had the Goat Kari here, seriously good. Our group totalled 4 persons and all of us thought the food was excellent. Would definitely come back.
