Purple Mango in Southwark

Unfortunately our order took two hours to arrive. When it did was okay but not ideal.

don't know what I ended up getting but it was the saltiest chicken tikka massala ever and the bread was revolting. onion bargies were soggy and not crispy at all

called the restaurant past the delivery estimates time, was told another 20minute, didn't arrive, called again, another 15minute. After 15minute received the call from driver just to say he just picked up the order from restaurant and will be another 30minutes! Never going to order from this restaurant again!

Ordered at 19:00, delivered at 21:25 and walked half way up the road to collect it. Food arrived cold and naan was wrong. Restaurant blamed the driver, driver blamed the restaurant. An absolute joke. Will never order from here again.

It says enjoy your food. But I ain't got my food. Which is strange cause wrre regularly order never had this problem. But even phone line is ringing out... If it turns up I'll change this as I say we rate them can't get a better curry place

Lovely food as always, came 15 minutes early.

After waiting for almost two hours, the driver did not turn up and I received a notification that read "enjoy your food". They didn't even bother to communicate to update me - at least I could've ordered from other restaurants. Abysmal.

The curry was one of the worst currys i have ever eaten it tasted like a curry from a jar bought from morrisons. Never again

I rang the restaurant. The driver was 14 minutes late outside of the allocated delivery time. I asked them to cancel the order, they wouldn't. I won't be ordering from these guys again! if I could leave a 0 star I would! I couldn't! Had to leave 1 star! Not impressed! They didn't even offer anything in return like a Reduction in cost or a freebie! RUBBISH!!!!

Delicious food the Madhu Chicken was extraordinary the only thing id say is that its no longer big chunks which I will miss. The Biryani was also delicious.

The chicken in the chicken curry was so dry it was like it was cooked some were held then added to the curry the kebab starter was disappointing I would have rather eaten a microwave curry at least I know it's fresh

Very tasty however I did notice it was quite a bit more watery than usual. I hope that next time this will not be the case. This is a very wonderful takeout. I would recommend their Chicken Hara Masala.

I've been consistently ordering from this place for over 2 years. prices have consistently changed with everything now costing almost 1 to 1,5 pounds more (bigger increase than inflation). I kept ordering as it's tasty and the rice changed from a plastic container to a small aluminium one , which means less than half of the original portion (with the increase cost). But what has been outrageous is the fact that in my last order they also reduced the amount of prawns on the main dish..

Food late, but arrived and was very tasty however most of it was cold due to the late delivery time.

Food and flavours are always great! We just wish that for the cost and size of the container, we could get a bit more meat to sauce ratio.

Delicious as always, being a brummie I’m a bit of a curry critic. Chicken tikka balti jalfrezi is banging. My go to for a curry every time now if I’m getting takeaway.

it was late but the staff on the phone was kind enough to check on the order, a minute later the food arrived and it tastes great. Thank you Purple Mango for always giving tasty food and never disappointing.

I respect that you called me and told me it was delivered to somewhere else but you also told me it would be recooked and from the temperature that it was delivered at it was definitely not recooked it was sent the same order that you sent to somewhere else was sent to me cold I am annoyed if you had recooked it it would have been hot and it is not hot

Biryani was a lot saltier than usual, a bit too salty. But it was still tasty.

Unfortunately food was late by 20 minutes and the poppadoms are missing! So the onion salad and mango chutney pointless. Very frustrating! Not good

Order was missing items. Included were things that we hadn’t ordered. Example - we ordered 2 jeera rice to eat with Dal Tarka but rice wasn’t delivered so the dal was wasted and because of this 2 members of our trip had to manage with something else to eat. Poor experience considering the long wait times. I expect a refund .

This place has definitely gone downhill. It's only a 15 minute walk away but 2nd time in a row the delivery has been late (and shown as delivered on the app when it hadn't been). Time to find a new curry place, sadly.

Yes, sometimes the delivery is late, but that's to be expected as it's such good quality, and much better value than most other just eats: prawn puri for only £4.35, for example, that's over £6 at many other just eat choices. The Stampcards rewards add up, too. Madhu very moreish and sweet and nutty, garlic chilli chicken nice kick, mixed grill pretty good, naga wings sometimes too nuclear but often really good. 4/5.

Ordered here twice and both times delivery was an hour late shocking service its a shame as the food is good.

The worst possible curry in the world absolutely disgusting. Do not order. Order at your own risk when there is a problem the food isn't replaced its always when you order next time so you got to spend money for them to correct there mistake. I might as well have given them £13.80 tip

Curry sauces were too hot/ spicy couldn’t taste anything

Said it had been delivered when it had not, which was five mins past when it was due. Had to telephone the restaurant twice and wait another 20 mins for the food.

Not the Purple Mango's finest hour and well below usual standard. Order was placed to arrive for 7.30 showing as delivered by 7.40 but had yet to arrive. Called the restaurant who were abrupt and quite rude - told to wait another ten minutes at 7.45 - Curry arrived at 8.22. Food was ok (usually better than good) but arrived barely warm. Not good today,

I can honestly say the two Currys we got tonight were absolutely disgusting they both went in the bin no flavour when we opened the curry they didn't smell right the chicken was chewy ?

Our order was extremely late and there is no number for the restaurant available in the app to allow us to call and contact. As well as this, the app doesnt even provide live updates to inform you whats happening with th order. Just Eat take no responsibility for the delay in the delivery, requesting for customers to instead call the restaurant. This is terrible customer service, very disappointed.

Past few times the salad has been really hot but the rest of the food is amazing would 100% recommend ordering I've been ordering for over 6 years from here only Indian restaurant I go to ever thank you for your service

No food delivered but was charged by the restaurant. Took my money and went to work hungry. Refused to issue refund. Escalated to JustEat customer service. Wasting my time and money.

Normally it would be a five star rating as the food is generally well cooked. Sadly the prawn curry was way to salty and the chana dish tasted very different. Also food arrived 45 mins late.

Delievery guy didn't call me on my phone when the food arrived, even though I wrote that down in the "notes" tab. Food was okay but imo other Indian restaurants are better.

The chicken Madras was not as hot as the last couple I have had from hear but it was still nice I would have liked it a bit more hotter

Food was good, although the portions have shrunk somewhat compared to Purple Mango's usual (usually the container is pretty much full leaving me some leftovers for lunch the next day - today's Bhuna only half filled the container).

Food was meant to be delivered by 21:25 max. Did not receive the order till 21:55 without any heads up from the restaurant. Food was cold by then.

Purple Mango Special and Mishti Kadu Aloo were both good 👍. Pilau Rice was a bit dry, and Onion Bhaji small quantity for price. 😕

absolutely amazing i like the naga curry all grounded powder not blended, full of flavour, best naga curry i have ever tasted and tandoori king prawns cooked to perfection.

Prawn Puri very good, samosa and naga wings tasty but both VERY small portions, Pasanda very nice and Madras was OK, but a little wet and not that spicy. Overall 3.5/5.

Attention of ISH. My first time with this restaurant. Shami kebab, very good and loved the mega onions. The masala curry, had forgotten how sweet it can be, too sweet for me, but good. I am such a little piggy that I ordered lots to have over a couple of days and still have biriani to try BUT you forgot my onion (bhargis), you still owe me. Thank you guys.
