Brilliant food and service in a nice environment. Pleasant staff and we didn't have to wait long for food to be prepared. I came here with work colleagues after a busy day at work. What I also liked was that we stayed for hours chatting, and we didn't feel forced to eat and leave quickly. I would definitely recommend the Shad. Thank you for a nice experience! M. M. Average food and service but giving 4 star on service bcoz of only one server who always smile on with true face and genuine smile ....credit goes to him which really let me think to leave 4 star on serive however the service is not good at all . Papad came when main course finish but all around is OK I am from the same hospitality background so never complain such easily it's a honest feedback so they can improve the food quality and improve the service for the better results.

Quick and tasty meal, rice wasn’t included in the price of the dish which makes everything a little more expensive but super friendly, helpful, and generous staff

One of the worst restaurants at London Bridge. They call themselves Indian restaurant but definitely not Indian, it’s 100% Bangladeshi restaurant being run as Indian. Food sucks.. the manager on the counter, the waiters are the worst. Super rude and don’t care about customers at all. Don’t want to listen to customer at all. Please don’t bother going to this place.

Freshly made mango lassi set the tone for a great meal. The chef was kind enough to accommodate my request for a dish that wasn't on the extensive menu. The service was excellent. We were a party of six with some dishes being shared and various types of rice and naan. Everything arrived together, the food was hot and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Yesterday i went to this restaurant with my family and for my experience the waiter behaviour made me fustrated, he is teaching me what the meaning of mild and medium and i have experience in restaurant as a manager for many years. The way of his body language and attitude making me so much fustrated and just come out from this restaurant because of his attitude and behavior. I dont have in my life such experience. Please I recommend this restuarant management to remove such a fellow as soon as possible otherwise it will effect the business....Thanks

Very rude behaviour of staffs.very bad service

My first time to eat talapia over last week, the young man gave me leaflet that's why I went there. I will definitely recomand any one coming around London tooley street, go and try you won't desapoint it.

I recently had the profound misfortune of dinning at this restaurant, and I can confidently say it was the worst experience of my life. From start to finish, this place was a catastrophic. We asked for water right after we sat on the table and the water never came. The table was organised as we sat down and ordered, the waiter just took the plates in front of us without explaining and then he brings out hot plates straight from the dishwasher. The lighting was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save your money, time, and sanity- eat anywhere but here.

Great food, great staff and price We had an excellent Sunday evening meal here with friends. The meat was very good, the sauces where not greasy, the side dishes all taste different with fruit and spice too. Service was with a huge smile.

I am really fascinated about Asian foods. So, I always go finding Indian and Nepalese restaurants wherever I go. I was around London bridge last night and found an indian restaurant while I was walking around. I was then deperate to go and have a meal. I usually eat spicy foods and normally go different restaurants every week to try new food. I was into Shad indian restaurant around half 9 in 18th of June. I then asked the waiter to help me out in ordering the food. Also, I asked for the spicy one and he suggested me to try Garlic Chilli Lamb. I was okay with it and placed an order. I had Prawn Puri as a starter which was not too bad and later when I tried tasting the Chilli Lamb, I was burning. It was crazy hot. Felt like they poured all the chillies from the kitchen into my curry. It was way too hot and could have made me sick. I never imagined the food would be like that. There was no any taste in the food and was only hot. The thing is I eat extra spicy food anywhere I go but everytime its okay for me. But this time I could not try the second time. Goshh!!! One of the service guy came in and asked me how the food was. When I tried saying him the food was crazy spicy he was so aggressive. He said it was the signature meal of the restaurant. How can human eat such crazy hot food?? Seriously??? They need to accept if they made any mistakes. The waiter was saying he loved that curry very much and each and every people like it and is the most famous food. Thats okay if thats the excellent food but I am trying to say is I had a terrible experience with that particular curry. But they never admitted it nor tried speaking to the chef about the curry. I spoke to one of the guy to just try it but he was not ready to do so. All the time, They were trying to defend themselves. I was trying to become so polite but they were very rude to me directly or indirectly. Its okay to happen mistakes but they need to learn the customer service. I just ate one spoon of the meal and paid the whole amount of bill with 12.5 % service charge along with their bitter attitude. Ridiculous Please find a better restaurant with good customer service even if the food is not too excellent.

The food was worst and the guy staff have too much attitude service is worst as well and they take high service charge 12.50% . Manerless staffs. The starter was good but the main it was too worst I didn’t had even 1 spoon of the curry i told to staff about the curry but they said that was their 5star food and he charge the full amount of the money and didn’t gave any discount and they add the service charge too😂and the service was worst .

Worst ever food had in our life time Starting from biryani fried rice to prawns curry, nothing was up to the mark We feel the biryani rice and fried rice are just given to us just by adding some mirchi powder with oil, which is not at all tasty Only the Naan was some good compared to others, which is also a little bit sweet in taste Price n quality n Quantity not at all relatable Wouldn't recommend this at any cost if ur looking for some Indian cuisine

A brilliant night indeed From walking in the door, to leaving at the end of the night, we were treated as if we were special. The waiting staff could not do enough for us, checked that our meal was all ok (and what a delicious meal it was too!), kept wine glasses topped up, but didn't make a nuisance of themselves. can't recommend it enough!!!!!!!

Worst service , food is awful We have ordered butter chicken it was full of sweet ( sugary sugary) And one spice chicken which is nothing but chicken curry with chilli powder in it. And they have certain amount to dine in less than that they will suggest you to take away. My review is less than star… please avoid this restaurant if you really like Indian food.

Although the flavors were decent, the portion sizes were disappointingly small for the price. The mains lacked enough meat, and I even had to request extra rice, which shouldn't be necessary. Additionally, the noise level made it challenging to have a conversation when the restaurant was busy.

I selected this place for a family amd friends get together and celebration. I booked the downstairs room as it was more intimate for a large party. The service was organised, discreet, professional and very efficient. The food was delicious, varied with good portions and we all enjoyed it. I would have no hestitation in recommending this old school Indian restaurant. It deserves 5 stars.

Worst restaurant ever visited. Staff is extremely rude and they don't value their customers. Do not recommend at all.

The food was quite nice. The place is very overcrowded though. The tables are very squished together and I twisted my knee trying to sit down in a booth chair. It still hurts 3 weeks later. Also our server came over to take our order and we told him we needed a couple more minutes. 10 minutes later we couldn't find him and ask a server to take our order, he says "One moment, I will get your server". So we wait a couple minutes and another server comes over and says "would you like to order?" yes please "One moment, I will get your server" so we wait and then ANOTHER server comes over and says "would you like to order?" yes please "One moment, I will get your server"...... and then I was able to order. Not sure why they do it that way but it was funny

Cosy restaurant. Ambience is great for a dinner. Food is good and staff are friendly and professional.

Have been here many times over the years. It's very convenient for London Bridge Station and the tube. Visited last night and had a great meal. King Prawn Pathia was very spicy with succulent prawns. Vegetables nicely cooked. Chicken tikka was perfectly cooked, moist and flavoursome. Service great and not too busy.

Second time I have visited this place now in3 months food has been excellent and the staff helpful and friendly will definitely be going back again next time I'm in London

When we are near London Bridge are we are up to Indian food we always go to eat at this restaurant. The portion is quite big and the food is very tasty. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. Make your way to try it !

The food was amazing and the waiters we generally friendly, however , there was this man walking around chatting with clients for some reason he spoke with almost everyone in the restaurant asking how the meals and service was , but for some reason he never came to our table , I do not know why , perhaps because of our ethnic background 😉 that was my assumption

Worst place I’ve ever seen the staff look fade up they forced us to order the food what we really don’t wanted they keep forcing us to order more apart from that the vibe was 0 management should take proper action please hire those worker who really want to do job your staff was extremely rude they got 0 sense of how to treat customer . Thursday evening, easy to get a table. Could have been 3.5 stars, however the bill came with an attempt to charge us for 5 extra beers. (Resolved but no explanation why, and hardly an apology). And our request for an extra hot dish resulted in a masala clearly overpowered by horrible taste of chilli powder (not even a real chilli to be seen). Sadly this is a restaurant that has a long way to go to meet the premium standard it wants to be.

Out in London with friends and looking for a late meal after lots of walking we came across the lovely little restaurant near London Bridge Station. The staff were very welcoming even though it was after 10:00 pm and there were 8 of us. The lamb Chop starter i had was lovely and the Lamb Sikandari main was beautiful the meat so tender and the Chick Pea sauce had a heat that just built and built until there was a lovely warmth. Less than £400 for 8 people the value is great and the quality of the food and service are superb

The food is very good. Also, quite expensive. Might be concerning that two groups of people were questioning their bill in the hour that I was last there but maybe that's just tourists for you!

It's a bit lack luster in the decor, as with most Indian restaurants, but it makes up for it was amazingly tasty food. Highly recommend.

Lucky enough to get a table as walk-ins on a busy Saturday night. Good service, nice selection of drinks and great food choices with some different dishes to the normal indian restaurant menus. The Dhansaks we had were the best we've ever tasted. Nice cutlery, good china and proper napkins make all the difference. Not the cheapest but you are in London! Recommended and we would go back.

I would overall rate 3/10 as the waiter who was assisting us was very rude and judgmental after every food we eat he was rushing us to go for the next and even after we finished our main course we still wanted to hang around and have drinks he was asking us if we were done and if so please leave . This attitude was really not custom service standard. The food was less in quantity and taste was absolutely not as labelled not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place if this is how it would be with the guest .
