The best restaurants serving French food in Islington London

These are hands down the best croissants and pain au chocolat I have ever had. Yes, including France. The servers are so sweet and kind. Milk alternatives served.

Du jamais vu, une restauration de très mauvaise qualité, un chef qui se prend pour ce qu´il n´est pas.. La raclette de très mauvaise qualité, une charcuterie très moyenne.. Je vous deconseille completement.

Este es nuestro café local y hemos estado viniendo aquí durante varios meses. Mi esposa y a mí nos encanta la comida aquí, el desayuno inglés en particular. El dueño y el personal es amable y cortés - nada es demasiado problema. Muy recomendable.

Basic cafe but excellent produce. Stopped for a break, we had carrot cake and cup of tea, both fab Excellent service from the polite and friendly staff. They even found me my favourite tea bag that wasn't on menu. Recommend 👍🏻

Incorrect drink & incorrect salad brought to the table. Scallops were cold. Ribeye was virtually inedible, so much fat, you couldn't even cut through it. Ordered a burger instead, which was pretty good. Received a £5 discount on our bill by way of apology. Busy evening, maybe a little understaffed. Service was friendly.

Looks nice and cosy but it's a bit small with limited seating. When I visited it was a bit on the noisy side but I guess that can easily change. If you manage to come in at a quieter time, the food is decent and the service is spot on. They were also open until 8PM which is very convenient since, most cafés close 5 PM

Buena comida - he estado aquí anteriormente para el almuerzo - pero me sentí completamente excluido porque tienen cero opciones de GF para el desayuno. Bastante decepcionado porque ambos somos sensibles al trigo como lo son muchas personas en estos días, ¡por lo que ya no es ciencia de cohetes proporcionar pan GF de todas las formas y formas! Además de esto, el servidor no hizo ningún intento de ofrecernos algo que pudiéramos comer, y simplemente se quedó ahí parado. Terminó con huevo simple, no se muestra mucha hospitalidad.

We went to the DB a couple of years ago and it was wonderful. We went a couple of nights ago and it was a massive disappointment. I believe they have had some sort of strategic shift in style/purpose and this will probably explain the difference. My partner and I are happy to spend on a good meal but in this case we felt completely duped. Like the restaurant must have been having a really good laugh on us! Average food, small portions, ‘blind’ wine pairings that were hugely over-rated, lots of ‘extras’ and outrageous, truly outrageous prices. I cannot remember ever feeling I had received less value for money from a dining experience.

Ambiente muy acogedor, comida muy agradable, grandes bebidas y personal amable. ¡Muchas opciones veganas! Muy contento con el café con leche de avena helado, rollo de embutido y pastelería Ferrero Rocher.

El lugar es encantador, puede ser casual o romántico, lo que quieras que sea. Pero £ 150 por dos sin bebidas en absoluto es un poco rico... Los platos más pequeños que puedo conseguir en términos de precio. un plato de hígado de pollo con higos y radicchio por c. £ 15 bien (en la gama alta, pero aún así ...) . Una sola vieira con trufa negra y castaña - £ 14 - caro pero bien puede conseguirlo si se estira. Pero... ¿28 libras por un filete de cerdo en rodajas con un poco de verduras y un trozo de membrillo? ¿33 libras por una plancha de bacalao, unas mini almejas y un poco de puré? No, todo cuadra y, toscamente, toma el p*ss. El postre era meñique - tajada ancha de torte de chocolate - para un tenner (! ) - y estaba un poco seco con toda honestidad. Y un descarado cargo por servicio del 15%. Sube los precios de los alimentos o aumenta el cargo por servicio, no hagas ambas cosas por favor. Esta es mi segunda vez aquí y tengo que decir que la comida está bien, pero se puede encontrar mucho, mucho mejor relación calidad-precio en Londres.

Abbiamo approfittato di questo ristorante durante il nostro soggiorno presso l‘Hotel. Il servizio è stato veloce e gradevole. Il ragazzo che prendeva le ordinazioni, Ayman, é stato gentilissimo e super disponibile!! Assolutamente top in quello che fa, meriterebbe sicuramente una posizione più alta!! Un po’ meno professionale il suo collega (penso fosse il supervisor/manager) che ci ha servito l’acqua mentre guardava e parlava con altra gente seduta in un altro tavolo non considerandoci minimamente. Per il resto ambiente tranquillo e pietanze buone.

We were too exhausted to find another job place to eat dinner so we decided to just go to the hotel restaurant. They had the early dinner special for £11.95 for two course meal per person. The meal was great but service was slow especially since we were the only ones there.

Hemos comido en este restaurante durante muchos años y últimamente durante los últimos meses las patatas fritas y los calamares son simplemente asquerosos. Cada vez seguimos preguntando al personal si había un chef diferente en la cocina y cada vez que la respuesta era "no, siempre es lo mismo". El domingo pasado por la tarde, 11/8 20019, personalmente me molesté mucho y me sentí tratado como un perro, ya que mis patatas fritas estaban muy mal cocinadas y los calamares también. Las papas fritas en este lugar siempre han sido de una calidad congelada muy mala y, además, imagínense si se sirven duramente y demasiado cocidas (y cada vez es exactamente el caso). Simplemente no puedo describir los calamares es simplemente horrible e inaceptable. Simplemente no sabemos por qué este restaurante está perdiendo lentamente la buena calidad que una vez conocimos. ¡Es muy triste!

Sorry to say that last nights experience didn't live up to the past 6 times, always loved it here and go back for the usually amazing rib eye, last night however not so good, not sure if the chef has changed but struggled eating my steak due to being very chewy, so much fat and gristle, may now have to re think my restaurant choice pre Almeida theatre.
