Vertige café in Islington

If you are in the area, this is a great place to get a coffee. The service is good, and the coffee and pastries are really nice. The front part of the cafe looks small, but there seems to be more seating at the back.

Habiendo llegado a Stansted e ignorando los puntos de venta de café estándar del aeropuerto, cogimos el tren y nos encontramos en Highbury & Islington. Siempre he querido darle una oportunidad a Vertige y aquí estábamos. El sol estaba fuera y mientras que dentro parecía amigable había pasado demasiado tiempo este día en tubos ... ... ... OK, los asientos afuera estaban en una carretera concurrida, pero esto era mucho mejor que un aeropuerto ocupado. El café era excelente y la galleta de cacahuete... pulgares hacia arriba por todos lados. Pasteles y bocadillos abiertos todos funcionaron para nosotros. Uno de los empleados tomó la mesa de al lado y comenzó a fumar. Le pregunté si se mudaría, lo que hizo con algún problema. ¿Volveríamos? -Sí. Incluso pensaría en llevarme unas galletas

Basic cafe but excellent produce. Stopped for a break, we had carrot cake and cup of tea, both fab Excellent service from the polite and friendly staff. They even found me my favourite tea bag that wasn't on menu. Recommend 👍🏻

Lovely cafe, rustic interior and great coffee. I had the omelette which was perfectly cooked. Friendly service, worth a visit.

Great little place. French owner is really friendly, and the viennoiseries are as good as you would find in Paris. Great coffee and nice brunch menu. Everything is well executed. I’ve been going here quite a lot and it never disappoints. Gets busy but that also speaks for itself.

This popular cafe situated on the Highbury and Islington roundabout is great for a catch up with a friend. It's best to at a quieter time, when you can get a table in the conservatory-like space at the back of the cafe (although be prepared to squeeze past the serving counter to get there!) I love the plants that adorn the interior. The eggs florentine with lime Hollandaise was a unique twist on a brunch classic, paired wonderfully with crispy fried sourdough, but the serving size felt a little small for the price.

Lovely brunch venue. Definitely recommend. Nice seating area at the back. Monmouth coffee and fresh orange juice. Eggs clearly the specialty. Croque Monsieur I suspect their biggest seller. Enjoy !!
